Rayman Legends |OT| "It's a bit like a porno" (Michel Ancel) WiiU/360/PS3/Vita/PC

I have a screenshot of every visual effect on the last level.

About those... I actually liked them in the last level. Especially those mosaic-images, which I thought were pretty cool!

I have a question about the DSi ver. of Rayman 1:
1- Is the audio similar to the PSX ver. where collcting the blue things make a musical sound?
2- Is it available on EU eShop and if so, can it be played on the 3DS?

I somehow managed to do the final 8 bit level in only like 5 or 6 goes. And then an invasion level in one go with all three teensies! Sometimes this game is like bricking a wall but sometimes it flows like a stream!

Saaaaaaaaaaaaay what's with some Teensies being 'saved' through the Scratch Card? Are they 'excess' Teensies made to round the game up to 700?

No. To get all 700 You need the ones from the scratch cards. The rewards from the scratch cards are random but you will get all the rewards if you have unlocked all the cards.

Whatdafuuuuuuuck r.e. some of those pixelated/mosaic images. I'm not there yet, something to look forward to I guess.

Wanna try and get full achievements on this but nobody on my friend list is playing the game. Goddamn fools.

Ah I see, really odd choice though TBH...

Got this earlier this week on the Wii U. Absolutely brilliant game and im enjoying it more than Origins and I loved that game. Done the 1st world and half way through the 2nd.

My GOTY so far.

Has anyone double dipped on the game yet? Thinking about getting the 360 one when I go to town, and the Wii U during Black Friday/Christmas considering each of them both have unique features.

Yes, though I prefer it the other way around, especially as the Wii U version also offers the fantastic multiplayer you will want to play right away when you have played some Murfy levels.

the whole lucky ticket system in general is weird. I'd rather just unlock back to Origins stages with Teensies, and I have zero use for the Creatures. By the time you have all of them, the amount of lums they give you compared to what you need for unlockables is pointless.

Yeah, having the Origins level right there next to the Legends levels for comparison really makes it clear. This game is leaps and bounds better than the last one, and I thought that game just rocked.

If you are playing multiplayer with someone on the Gamepad, the game just becomes pure brilliance. The fact that Ubisoft had something like this ready so close to when Nintendo had finished NSMBU really makes me sad about the fate of our favorite plumber. This is the level of creativity and exhilarating gameplay that I have been disappointed to find lacking in modern Mario games. We throw the word charm at Nintendo games quite a lot, but this game, this is fucking charm incarnate.

Also, Kung Foot is rad fun with 4 people.

I hope the creatures give more lums once you own the whole family.

Agree 100%. There doesnt seem to be any filler in this at all and each level is just brilliant design.
Its definitely one of the best 2d platformers ever made.

I know some may say thats a bit OTT but I really believe it is. As much as I love my mario games nsmbu feels old and dated in comparison.

They give you about 5,000 max which is a drop in the bucket when you need like 500,000

Where is the 5k number coming from? Can they all drop double coins or something?

The creatures typically give you 972 lums per day, that's 6(pedestals) x (6x25(coins) + 6x2(purple lums)) or at least that's what I have been getting.

even if every creature in the gallery dropped a skull coin, with double coins for the king and queen, it would be 6 x (12 x 25) = 1800

Game is great but honestly I didn't enjoy it as much as Rayman Origins.

Why not? I'm honestly curious, because I beat Origins and actually only thought it was good, not great. So far, I'm absolutely loving this game. Maybe I just..wasn't in the mood back then or something.

I see a lot of posts saying the wii u version is the one to play so you can co-op with a friend using the gamepad to play as murphy.

Doesn't the vita version also permits that?
It has co-op and murphy is controlled trough touchscreen, i'm only not sure if the multiplayer is like the wii u.

Got this yesterday. This game is so amazing. I missed on Origins, so this feels like a really fresh experience.

85 Teensies rescued so far.

Not sure if I wanna ^5 or strangle the people who approved Living Dead Party.

I love them.... and I dislike them as well. But overall I like them.

The last stage in that world had me and my brother laughing our asses off.

I think I'm done with this game. Managed to go through every single one of the Legends stages barring Invasion (I don't like them enough to do them) and most of the Origins stages.

Great fucking game, worth the $50 I paid for.

I really am enjoying the game a whole heck of a lot, and the few pure platforming levels that are there are better than those in Origins. Origins had much better swimming levels, though, and most tragically of all, Legends has a downright horrible soundtrack compared to Origins. There's nothing wrong with it of course, but Origins' soundtrack was so freaking good. Like worthy of a bullet point on a list of five reasons to love the game. And Legends' doesn't come close, even counting the "music" levels which I think are kind of dumb, and are themselves blown away by the Chest Race levels in Origins anyway.

Do we know what exactly they added with the delay? Like, if we had gotten it in February, what would have been missing?

Wow, I strongly disagree. Origins had a great soundtrack, but I easily find myself enjoying Legends more.

At least half of it is me missing the lums singing through the songs in the second half of Origins. But even the Desert of Didgeridoos and the ice levels in Gourmand Land I thought were on an entirely different level.

Edit: 20,000 Lums Under the Sea had great music, but let's put it this way: I am playing for multiple hours a day right now, and I could only hum the opening five seconds of "game loading" music to you from memory. I haven't played Origins since the Spring after it came out, and I can (and do) whistle most of the songs from the second half to this day. I only regained appreciation for the earlier levels that I mentioned earlier because I've only unlocked up to those in Back to Origins.

I think calling it horrible is more than a bit strong, as it's great, but I also prefer the Origins soundtrack. Just seems a bit more alive.

Stuff like this and this...so good.

I got Diamond cups in everything but the Origins levels, then played the first two Origins levels (I hadn't touched a single one yet) and more or less confirmed that I do indeed like Legends way more.

I like how Invasion levels also have leaderboards.

They did a good job giving you incentive to continue to play the game after you exhausted all the content. I just wish there was more variety within the challenges. I only played the challenge app for about 2 weeks and I'm already feeling that the challenges offered in the full game are the same.

The last level of Living Dead Party was so funny my friends and I were failing from laughing too hard.
This game is brilliant. Soundtrack didn't stand out to me as much as Origins (except for the licensed track levels which are fantastic) but it's still all good.

Just need to platinum cup 4 Origins worlds then 100% is mine. Thankfully easier than Origins in that regard.

So I took a break of Diablo 3 to unwrap my copy.

I did the whole game, one shot. Still completing some Origins levels and doing the new daily challenges atm.

This game is fucking addictive, great addition for the Wii U collection! :D

When you say one shot...you mean just level completion or fully collecting everything?
