Rayman Legends |OT| "It's a bit like a porno" (Michel Ancel) WiiU/360/PS3/Vita/PC

Daily Challenges are so addicting. Oh my God. Got a Gold in yesterdays Daily. There is no doubt in my mind I could have gotten Diamond, but I had just had enough at that point.

Question: When I'm collecting Lums in a challenge, am I keeping those even when I retry?

I know it's been asked before but how many Murphy stages are there in compared to the rest of the game?

Thanks.

In the main campaign (disregarding the last Living Dead world which doesn't have any unique levels), there are 14 Murfy levels, and 48 levels total. Then there are 28 Invasion stages, and I don't think any of those are Murfy either.

Okay, so it's not 50% of the game, from the report I was reading.

Just thinking if the PS3/360 is better for solo play since I have the Vita version.

I wish Ubisoft patched in Rayman mode for the Wii U so that those who don't want to play as Murphy can have the option to do so.

Balloon me if old but this video shows that the Luchador boss screams something very similar to "motherfucker" in spanish. Not sure if it's intentional but I thought it was hilarious.

Just had one of those serious fist-pumping "Fuck Yeah" moments after besting one of the Invasion levels. Other than a couple random teensies I have to go back for in regular levels plus Origins stuff (both shouldn't be hard I figure) only one teensie alludes me... gold on Infiltration Station Invaded. Tomorrow night... I will get you.

Edit...
Epic Fail

I end up celebrating like when I watch or play football (soccer).

Same here when i finally beat Infiltration Station and achieved 700/700 just now. Great feeling after so many attempts. I still need 4 golds for the gold trophy and then it's over to the daily challenges.

In retrospect, great game and my GOTY so far. I'd give it a solid 9/10. I love the franchise and the genre and i love what Ubisoft is doing with their Ubi Art engine.

World 5 wasn't that hard, but the final boss' stage had some strict jumping areas, but otherwise do-able.
Looks like I got all Lum Trophies in the main stages, gonna start the Invasion Stages later on, finish up the bonus world then finish up Origin stages~

So I just finished up the 8-Bit stages, which actually ended up being less of a problem than I'd expected. The Orchestral stage was giving me some grief (static), but the others ended up being a lot less difficult, with most leaning on either pixellation or fish-eye.

That being said, I'm grateful Grannies World Tour had such a forgiving map layout. Can't imagine trying one of the other stages with that split-screen nonsense going on.

I'm playing the Murphy stage where you unlock Barbarella but I can't get the required 300 lums for gold. The max I can get is 286. I've watched some videos online and it seems that they get a purple lum at the start of the lum chain but that doesn't happen for me. The videos I saw were ps3 though but I'm playing on the Wii U.

Have you guys got any tips?

Don't you mean Barbra? I managed to get the 300 Lums without any issues, if it's the stage It hink it is in World 1, don't run- Take it slow and eventually you should amass 300 Lums.
The way you get double Lums, is to take each lum one by one, breaking the sequence gets rid of the double bonus.

Bought this on Vita the day it came out, but haven't played it yet.

Why? Because I've only just started playing Origins and am hooked.

Got about 1/2 of the Electoons in the game. Plateauing a bit as they become harder to get, and have to do speed runs, etc.

Loving it, though, so bought Legends just to support the game and the Vita. Can't wait to play it.

I mean Barbra. I'm thinking of a certain late 60s film. Barbarella as a secret character in Rayman Legends would be hilarious.

Yeah, just swipe over them with your finger and they'll change from yellow to purple, giving you double lums.

Ohhhhh, that's how you get the double lums on the Wii U Murphy levels. It's a lot harder then. I'd hate to play those levels by pressing a button.

Thanks guys.

So I've been playing this on the Wii U. Finished the main game and now backtracking and getting all the lums, queens etc.

Great game. At first I thought this was such a lesser experience than Rayman Origins. Origins was pure platform fun and in this game the pace is so slower thanks to the touch screen.

But its a fair trade I can say now. Of course its not as fast but the creativity is so much better in Legends. Its on a Mario Galaxy level, in that it uses great ideas and just stops using them after 1 level to throw another great idea in your face.

The invasion levels give me the fast-kick I've missed early in the game.

I don't know if its as much of a classic for me as Origins was (completed it 100% on three different platforms), but its an outstanding game anyway.

Just beat that level myself after nearly 2 hours of trying in total. What an amazing feel! 565/700.

No, when I'm playing alone and on the tv you can just strike the lums and they turn purple.

Oh wait, you mean outside the murphy levels? Ya. It only works on the murphy levels.
On Origins on Vita you could collect the bubbled items or enemies using the touch screen.

Congratulations :) feels great when you finally jump to that endpoint just in time. It's by far the hardest part of the game so the remaining 135 teensies are within reach now :)

I love this games multiplayer. Feels so good.

I hate having to scratch the lucky cards over and over and over. Worst part of the game do not care for it at all but I need to care apparently because that's how you unlock all the Origin levels and you need those Teensys for the last painting. Le sigh Ubisoft.

Haha I have the same irritation, but its pretty fast. Just takes a minute to scratch 10 cards or so.

Just curious, as I have both the X360 version as well as the PS3 one. Which version is considered the better one, or are they identical in every sense?

Edit: I have only played the PS3 version, the x360 version is still in foil. if they're identical, I'll just stick to the PS3 version.

I like the sound effects in Rayman and would love to have them as separate sound files - especially the "wooooh"-sound when finding a hidden spot. Could anybody help me on that matter? Very much appreciated!

And as pointless as it is it's always exciting when you unlock an Origins level!

Yeah they really nail the feeling of scratching an actual lotto ticket
The disappointment I feel when I get two Origins squares right off the bat, but then I actually get like a lums bonus instead is immense

Finished The Dark Creatures Rise- Invaded 3/3 on the first try! Then the Dark Rayman one inside the Tomb took a while but I just finished it. Next time I post I'll probably have finished all the invasion stages. I remember when I first tried one I dreaded them and thought I'd leave them till last but I've become addicted to them!

Edit: And now just did The Great Lava Pursuit- Invade with 3/3 in one go! I'm on a fucking roll!

Does anyone know how to play 6 player Kung Foot? Can you only play it on a specific platform? Have Wii U version and enough controllers for that but was pretty sure 5 player was all it could do.

Yes all invasion levels and rescue levels 100% completed, world 1, 2 and 3 fully completed! Plus world 1 and 2 from Origins 100% done. 593/700. I shall probably finish this masterpiece tonight!

I didn't see anything mentioned in OP, but are your levels from the Wii U app challenge tranferrable into the full game?

They are, though the levels aren't worth much, by comparison to the slow progression of the challenge app the levels fly up in the main game.
I guess it's nice to have the trophies added to the overall tally, plus the Funky Rayman costume unlocks this way.

I've been completely misinformed up till now about how the PS360 versions of the game handle the Murfy stages. Thought you basically played as Rayman and had an AI controlled Murfy escort you (which would be awful). The reality of it sounds way more fun, and actually quite a bit more interesting than controlling Murfy like on Wii U / Vita.

I'm pretty darn disappointed Ubi didn't give Wii U and Vita players the option to do the Murfy stages as on the other versions. Bad oversight.

It makes no sense that there is no option considering in the top left there is an icon pretty much indicating it.

Yup. I have the game on Vita, WiiU and 360 and have more fun with the 360 version. Sure the WiiU version is nice if you play in Coop but if you play alone it is awful.

Has anyone encountered a weird bug on the 8-bit Orchestral Chaos level? Whenever I get the near the end after the big jump the game freezes for a second before resuming only it's black and white with the levels grainy effect and without the music playing. It makes it easier to complete since the static doesn't come in on the last jumps but it's still pretty weird.

Phenomenal game.

Feels good to be doing the challenges again after a self-imposed one month sabbatical from the Challenges App.

That said, I got the Funky Ray bonus costume and the Mario and Luigi costumes for Rayman and Globox, but wasn't the Wii U supposed to get an Aveline costume as well?
