Racist or not, he's an idiot with a drinking problem. He's blown up at just about everyone in here and then tries to come back and apologize. He cant handle his attitude or anger when he drinks and from what little I've seen, he drinks far too much. Defend him or not, he's still pretty dickish at times.

Privacy is for wimps, and external warmth is unnecessary when you're a biological space heater.

Isn't there some some sort of mechanism where people can be marked in such a way that folks who don't want to hear such talk will have them filtered out? Or maybe a setting where you have to explicitly add people to friend lists to hear them? Just curious -- I don't play online games with the singular exception of that arena fighting game on the Renegade/Telegard BBSes.
edit: or, like, the ability to autofilter someone from voice chat if they've been put on more than a certain number of ignore lists in the last X months, that sort of thing?
Well... some people don't make the connection even if their face is all over what they post. Like I said, empathy. Some people understand that what they say is racist or inflammatory but say it anyway because they're either angry or consider the reactions they get funny.
I don't even know if there is a line between that kind of person and a racist...
Imo there is a difference between saying things for laughs/attention exclusively and saying racist/plain old dumb stuff that the person actively believes.
