And this I guess

bogan-1705042800.jpg

Yeah. Except this is actually our culture and not an exaggeration lol

Can almost guarantee if I took a photo over my fence my bogan neighbours would have at least a few flag related things out. Could hear them earlier when hanging out my washing "yeah nah mate I actually like this band" they were listening to triple j lol

Is that for a month or quarter. Let me tell you about our prices...
2 months. Its usually $30 but its been so cold the last few months ive had to keep the heat cranked with mt ancient electric baseboard heaters.

Its an unusual winter. Usually sits around 10 degrees celsius but its been -10 the last few months.

I'm glad you had a good time. Did you party at all in Japan? LOL

I don't go to clubs or "party" so no, but yeah, it was a blast. I...sure walked to a lot of places. Think most days saw me being out and about 12 or 13 hours going from place to place.

I did however go to some really cool bars. One of them was called "Death Match in Hell" and was pretty much a broom closet that seated 6 people and was made entirely out of 70s-80s horror movie VHS boxes and played random metal, in the Bar block of Kabukicho which is pretty much 3 or 4 blocks of nothing but bars with all of them being tiny, most of them themed ("swing" bar, "baseball" bar, "old horror movie metal" bar, etc.). The other was called "Gods" and is a Metal bar where you can make requests on these little sheets of paper and the bartenders will DJ and play whatever Metal song you write down; if it has a video on Youtube they'll play it on the projector screen and they play it super loud. Not hard to talk, but you do have to shout a bit. That place was awesome, my friend and I chatted up the bartenders in broken Japanese/English, got one of them to play a song she suggested for us and bought her a drink, just had a generally awesome time as we requested more and more obscure songs. Great stuff there.

I did hook up with two people though; one girl as I was coming back from Gods stumbled into my back and said excuse me in Japanese and English but...kept like full body checking me until I turned around and talked to her and her friend. She spoke pretty good English because she had stayed in America for a little but I still had to use Google Translate a little to speak with her. Went to a bar with the two of them and then she ditched her friend (who gave me a thumbs up) and dragged me to a love hotel.

Side note: Love hotels are weird. Like, real weird.

The second was a trans girl who worked at one of the clubs in the area (I stayed in Kabukicho, which if you've played a Yakuza game, is pretty much nothing but love hotels, bars and host/ess clubs). Half thai/half Japanese. She did...not know much English but we talked a bunch using Google Translate on our phones while I was drinking at a bar called...fuck, I think it was called "Annihilation" or something (fake edit: It's called "Champion"). Just a divey "trying to look American" bar with a dartboard and stuff. Apparently she had the night off and was just in to drink but we talked a bunch and she eventually dragged me to a love hotel too.

As I said, super liked my time there but I'd wanna go back and not have to chat people up using text on my phone lol.

Also, this thread is probs slow because a lot of people are already friends in other community threads or wherever and talk there and there's only a little bit of cross-over with people trying to talk or exchange with people outside those social circles. It happens.

I just paid my half of our $584 power bill for the quarter.

My roommate Rob does this weird thing where he turns things off at the power every time he's stopped using it. Finished with the washing machine, turn it off at the wall. Use kettle, turn it off at the wall. I wonder if maybe he was electrocuted as a child? I don't know.

Happy Kangaroo Week or whatever.

So this thread is dead soon. Who's drawing my Fakegaf ava?

Yeah, it sounded really fun. I must meet somebody on vacation and go to a Love Hotel. Why was it weird?

It's just like, they have designated fuck places. My hotel (real hotel, not love) was literally 2 blocks from one of the bars and almost as close for bumping into that girl and was already paid for and both of them were like "Why would we go there, let's go to a love hotel" which didn't make any sense to me. Then the ones I went in it's all very nice and professional like a normal hotel, the front desk staff being super polite "Right, welcome to Hotel Bagus, do you want to rent the room for 4 hours or to stay, the condom vending machine is on the right, would you like to rent any toys or items, here is a complementary lube bottle" type shit. The rooms are also REALLY nice if you go to a decent one. Like, big beds, hot tubs, showers with a nozzle specifically designed to spray your undercarriage, various light settings, one of them had a music stand where you could put your iPod for music, the TV had VOD for adult movies or music stations.

It's just...I don't know how to say it, it was just so Japanese. Very proper and professional for a place you go to bang.

I've been too sick to play a game (for the most part) so I'm in bed watching a Valkyria Chronicles let's play (longplay, technically. Who needs all that chatter?). Game is pretty badass but I have very little patience for the SRPG genre so it's nice to just watch someone else suffer instead.

:(

I got a house! Get the keys next week. Now I need to work out what to do with all the spare rooms lol.
Damn spare rooms sound wonderful. Congratulations!

I'd have:
A batcave.
A library.
A crafts room for cosplay and stuff.
A board game room for Kark.

Congrats! My wife and I just started moving into our new home. I feel like my entire body is destroyed.

^ can't believe I never thought of a bat cave!

Congrats!

I put a bid on an amazing place last week but didn't get it. Some investor that didn't need financing got it, even though their bid was lower than mine.

*shakes fist at sky*
Damn them. I've given up on owning a house for the time being. Idk where I want to live anymore. Gonna be an auntie in July so it's tempting to move to qld...
Rent the rooms and make extra moolah? or space to hide corpses? IDK
Extra moolah would be good but I also want to walk around with no clothes on lol

I'm probably gonna have a craft room, spare bedroom and a nerd room haha. Space is nice.
