the matched facial expression game is strong in both my favorite ausGAFFers! :D..
although mute's eyes do look a bit less like the peace Lucian's hand is suggesting :D

Oh right. Maybe..maybe. I like this one.

Anyway I just finished Grow Home today. Already need to start building my list for favorite games I played in 2016 because it was awesome. Great music too.

^Is that middle pic from a LARP event? I hear about those but rarely see them. I figured they only happen in places that have an active "re-enactment" historical society going, etc.

Kinda. It's actually Way of the Sword; goofy as it looks (and I know it looks quite goofy!) we practice real styles and having district/regional/national tournaments with other associations. I specialize in tai chi, but there's a ton of kendo and such.

Sometimes some folks get really hardcore into their styles and dress up and stuff, but it's kinda rare.

Although my team does have a phenomenal Link cosplayer. He is awesome! I dunno why he shows up to practice dressed like Link, but I can't complain.

Come on, how can you not use this one?

...

You're right.

I've never shown my face around these parts before... maybe it's about time that I did.

Go for it!

I like to engage in this stuff from time to time because I dig how it sort of shreds that stigma of internet anonymity (at least for me). I put my real self forward and it feels a bit less like I'm hiding behind the keyboard. I try to be friendly online and this helps.

Idk. Different strokes for different folks. That's how I interpret it, at least!

I don't think I could look at my face right next to every post. It would be like some kind of cronenbergian nightmare.

It'd ruin the allure of thinking your actually a ninja turtle too, I don't want that.

I hate this game because I use my real pic all year round.

It's a celebration of real pics! No hate.

ok, i'll play

The more the merrier.

I'm baffled by the amount of females

I thought the internet was out of stock of them

:lol :lol

I agree! I've always liked using my name too, helps to keep me on the level.

Ok, I'll take a pic.

*stumbles around looking for camera*

Lucian, people will come Lucian. They'll come to Realpic for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your thread as innocent as children, longing for the past. Of course, we won't mind if you look around, you'll say. It's only an avatar. They'll change their avatars without even thinking about it: for it is time they have and peace they lack. And they'll post in the thread; pose for selfies in shirtsleeves on a perfect afternoon. They'll find they have pictures somewhere along one of the old threads, where they posted when they were children and cheered their favourite gaffers. And they'll watch the thread and it'll be as if they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick they'll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come Lucian. The one constant through all the years, Lucian, has been Realpic. Off-Topic has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But Realpic has marked the time. These avatars, this thread: it's a part of our past, Lucian. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Lucian. People will most definitely come.

Lol ^^^

That's still my Facebook name. Well, just Odin, not "you're the worst odin" that would be weird.

...

So I have to fly to Reno on Monday for work so my question is, is it really like the Vegas' lazy smelly younger brother?
Yes. Hence why I called you Odin :P

Also maybe. Idk

Ah, cool. I have seen varying forms of ancient sport fairs and re-enactments. In the very least, I'll watch them! I find it to be an interesting hobby. Is it a "big" thing where you are? Like, do the meetups and practices get a lot of people out consistantly?

It's certainly bigger than I'd expected it to be! A run-of-the-mill practice week with our organization (which my friend founded two years ago) typically attracts anywhere from 30 to 50 people. The monthly competitions between various Central Florida groups can pull closer to 300, and the bi-annual Southeast USA tournaments draw several hundred. Idont know if you'd label that big, but when it was first pitched to me I personally expected dozens at best, haha.
