Yeah, I found that confusing, too.

Still, it was a fun episode this week:
- "Johann Sebastian Sock"
- Señor Trampoline
- The Hold Steady!

Good times. I missed this show.

episode had its moments, good stuff. the scene where sam jumps out the window and falls back in had me LOL. was a different approach to an idea done many times before. well done guys :lol

i was also confused about the whole devils son and his father being dead. i have to rewatch the finale.

BUT ur title, shame on you :lol

Smallville
Supernatural
Privileged (yea, thats right)

all worth watching in addition to Reaper

In the second to last episode Sam was tested by his demon neighbor and Sam saved himself with magic or whatever from a falling object proving that he is potentially the spawn of the devil. This was not a bit of spillover power it seems from an escaped soul either.

The demons inform him that the identity of his father is removed from his contract. Along with the fact that the devil actually appears to Sam further wedges in the idea that Sam is very special to the devil if not a child to it.

Sam at the end of the season then tells his friends he thinks he's the spawn of satan. That and a 'dead' father amount to the road trip and where we are now.

Personally this is the natural progression of the story in my opinion. Maybe a scene was left out... Anyhow I really really hope the story doesn't recant and Sam is just some normal joe or something else.

I also like the fact that Sam is not a dud. It makes me put on my writer's hat and try to think where the story will go. Will we see some satanic siblings? Will Sam get the devil to change in any way? In what ways are Sam changing? I think he's going to be morally gray this season.

And that whole thing with Cady, was crazy stuff happening because the devil didn't want his kids making out (doubtful) or was crazy stuff happening because crazy stuff happens around the devil's kids?

Guess I have to wait and see.

I miss Josie. :/

I like this picture.

That was a confusing episode, yet still awesome. Did the dude that hit sam on the head just give up the cattle prod and bail? They seemed to skip over that or I just wasn't paying attention. But maybe I just missed what happened.

Whatever. The show is still fuck awesome. :lol

Devil: Would you look at that? The Prodigal Son returns. I'm just kidding. I knew the real Prodigal Son, you know. The dude was an ass. Super needy.

Devil: Holy crap, where did you get this book? "The Devil is attracted to radishes." What does that mean? Like sexually? That's disgusting.

That part was hilarious. I love Ray Wise.

I assume we'll see them again sooner or later. Seemed like one of those situations where he can't really control them yet - just end up popping up when he's really in a jam.

Just wanted to let you know, your pentagram is actually a Star of David. Mazel tov!

Ratings:

"Reaper" (2.3 million viewers, 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 2 share)
I think Finn said 2 million might be enough to keep it around, but whether it can hold on to these viewers for the whole season...

I really don't think AI is going to be an issue for Reaper.
The fanbase is there and watching. What's the other competition again?

For some reason I really want to see the guys get stuck in a dance contest with an escaped soul. Maybe have Sock win it instead of the obvious choice.

I couldn't watch the original airing this week and just got around to it.

Let the writers know some random person on the internet thinks they're the best ones on TV right now.

i dont think thats what people are confused about. i remember everything you said, about how sam thought he was the devils son and all that, but it was merely an idea as far as i can remember, and he was never 100% certain. in the premiere he is set on that and just seemed like a leap.

also, i dont really remember what happened to his dad or how he died, but thats more my fault, i need to rewatch the finale. i could be wrong on everything, but the writers just dove right into the devils son story there in the beginning.

sam's dad was left by steve to be buried under a ton of dirt in the demon cage. his mother dug him up hours later. to the average joe it would seem he died but he's still alive, secretly...

i think the major disconnect as you mentioned is that sam has essentially accepted the fact that he may be a child of the devil last season in the final scene with ben and sock. the moment was so brief though that it didn't make a huge impact, thus making some confusion for some returning to the show.

One thing that's kinda getting me annoyed about this show is the whole Sam underestimating the Devil's power.

I mean have any of Sam's tricks against the devil ever worked. Even in situations where it seemed like the devil was fooled it turned out to be all a ploy by the devil.

Every time its like.

Sam: Hey I might have a way to fight the devil.

(Sam does a bunch of secret stuff giving himself false hope)

Devil: Ha Ha Ha. That went perfectly. Thank you so much Sam.

Really good episode. I'm totally digging where they're going with this season.

The stuff with Sock and his stepsister is some of the funniest shit the show has done. I love it.

Sock is the man and i agree that the stuff with him and his stepsister is some of the funniest stuff iv seen.

especially when
sock is sleeping and his step sister jumps on top of him straddling him in her little undies.
Jesus christ i would have slammed her one :D

Common Sock give it to her!!

Jenny Wade is awesome.

I think we're all going to really love the episode, I Want My Baby Back (#6).

I see Sock's story going to good places. He's probably suffering from the worst case of blue balls in recorded history, and much like he hit the dude with the chair, he will continue to flip out.

Needless to say, hilarity will ensue.

As awesome as that episode was, does anyone else dislike how naive they made Ben? He can't be that stupid after all the stuff he's seen.

But then again, I'd probably sell my soul for Jenny Wade's toenail clippings, so it's probably not his fault.

Good stuff. The dance off was hilarious. They're doing a nice job of balancing the longer story arc with some monster-of-the-week action this season.

Waaaat? Did it even hit 2million? :(
Yea. Here are the half-hour breakdowns...
Reaper
8:00 p.m. V: 2.19 m, A18-49: 0.8/ 2
8:30 p.m. V: 2.16 m, A18-49: 0.8/ 2
I may have been overly doom-and-gloom, as things didn't pan out too badly. For the most part, the show held much of its audience from last week, especially in the 18-49 demo. And in the 18-34 demo, it actually increased slightly from last week (from 0.8 to 0.9). If we continue to be a steady performer opening up Tuesday nights and up against behemoth American Idol, I wouldn't be surprised to see another mid-season pickup.

Get the damn word out, folks. Tie friends down and make them watch if you have to.

I'm happy I got to see Sock have a dance off. I'm happier I got to see Topher dancing all sexy in those tight jeans. Good god almighty! :D

Next request, let's have a true and tender moment between Sam and his "father". :)

I love this show, easily one of the best written tv out there.

I don't think is that confusing, Sam thinks he is the devil's son, and the devil is taking advantage of that.

I always figured that the devil just knew there wasn't any point in lying any more. Sam gets no benefit out of the knowledge that he's the devil's son, so there was no reason to bother hiding it. He still own's Sam's soul.

we shall find out the truth... eventually.
let's just... enjoy the ride as we get there.

Buggering E4 still haven't given a date for series 2 in the UK. I can't understand the hold up. It's airing as an unbroken run in the US isn't it? So it's not like they are waiting until there are enough episodes that they won't need to break.

Skins finishes its season in 2 weeks, maybe they put it on now that they have a gap in the schedule.
