I really liked the episode last night. The whole angle with the escaped soul was different and I really like the route they went. Also pretty cool to see Andy in a leadership role. Also that gif is hilarious Ghost! :lol

You just keep making more of those and making less apologies.

Did i see some Brett butt crack last night? It was cute... :lol

I was thinking about the show... (uh oh) and my writers sense started tingling. I'm really interested in the demons on the show. It would seem that Gladys, Tony and Steve were former angels. Gladys has never shown her demon form but Tony and Steve have... and now we get to see Ben's girlfriend in demon form. Obviously the demons have sexual dimorphism, but I'm wondering... can demons procreate with each other? Ben's girl seems like she's never fallen, she's just rebelling. Can it be possible to have an arising demon even? Where are her horns? Does she file them down? Is she a spawn of two demons? She doesn't seem to have any angelic tendencies...

I also have to wonder about the Devil. He's all about the rules. In a way he has a very warped sense of justice. I'd say the writers are doing a great job at portraying him as lawful evil if that even makes sense.

This season is shaping up to be very very good.

I practically busted a rib at Andi's grief counseling maneuver. Holy shit. That's comedy.

I'd still love to see some emotional continuity between episodes, though, like if the Devil did something spiteful towards Sam next ep as a punishment for gloating over Red's motivations. The show's still leaning towards procedural cheese, Finn, but everyone pulls it off so well that I don't even care.

Very good ep, though I was disappointed in the lack of more Sock/asian virgin stepsister storyline

they can only go so far with that storyline before it's used up.
i actually could see myself getting tired of it quickly.

The Favorite
Season: 2 Episode: 4 First Aired: 3/24/2009

Summary:
The Devil takes Sam to the police station and introduces him to Morgan, whom he calls his son. Now, Sam and the gang are tasked with hanging out with Morgan and showing him the ropes.

The brother is a douchebag, but to the level where I don't even want to watch anymore.
Good episode overall but it was like nails on a chalkboard sometimes.

Missy P is a fox, btw.

"Tech guy? Fighting guy?" :lol

Oh snap, dad's back. Good to see they're moving things forward. Glad they didn't go down the route of Morgan stealing Andi from Sam.

What?

it's funny how my random questions are partially answered each week. morgan is hilarious, but sam is still more awesome than him. ben looked kinda jacked in his last scene... his back is wider than i remembered.

Morgan? Is that Ben's demon girlfriends name? If not, you're thinking of Chuck. Sock is the hilarious person.

Morgan is Sam's brother's name. He was introduced last night as another son of the Devil.

Ben's girlfriend's name is Nina.

I'm loving the Ben/Nina storyline, though I'm refusing to invest in it because I know it's bound to end badly. And Ben had the line of the night- his stuttering apology after Gladys's way-too-suggestive speech at the DMV.

How well does the Sock/Ted dynamic work in upcoming episodes?

Wat? Oy. Am I really that hard to understand?

Morgan is funny because he's NOT trying to be funny.
Sock is annoying because he's trying to be funny, all the time.

If I was Andi... Sock would be fired, before he got me fired.

I think I understand Sam's contract now too. Maybe. Honestly though, since Sam is supposedly a child of the devil wouldn't his afterlife kind of be forfeit anyhow? I bet if the details are revealed, we'll see that Sam's parents were given eternal life in exchange for harboring and protecting the devil's spawn. We've only had snippits of divine interaction in this show though and demons have ascended so who knows what lies ahead. Heck, Sam could wind up in hell... lead some sort of revolution and have everyone absolved of their sins...

I'm very happy that Sam is jealous of Morgan too.
Nothing brings a tender moment with a child and a parent like a good sibling rivalry.

Very good writing this season.
Just tie up Josie's story and I'll be pleased.

Yeah, Socks' sister is cute and all but no one is there to keep him in his place!
Sock is going wild without Josie around.

Sadly it seems they don't need her now that the devil is essentially handing Sam all the info he needs.

I just hope it's addressed and not just, oops she's gone/busy!

Actually, looking at the finals, it was a bit more than an uptick:
Reaper
- 2.696 million viewers
- 1.6/3 HH
- 1.1/3 A18-49
- 1.2/4 A18-34
Sure there was no competition other than President Obama, but I'll take the good news where I can get it. And comparably, here are the new episode Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill ratings from Monday:
Gossip Girl
- 2.249 million viewers
- 1.5/2 HH
- 1.1/3 A18-49
- 1.4/4 A18-34

One Tree Hill
- 2.402 million viewers
- 1.7/2 HH
- 1.2/3 A18-49
- 1.6/4 A18-34
So, some good news.

Anyone else hate both Sock and Morgan?

Comedic assholes are only funny to they constantly get put in their place. When there's someone to control them. Now with Ted demoted and Josie gone, Sock is unbearable. The whole Andy/Sock interaction is pretty much the most unbelievable thing in the whole show.

Morgan is just a spoiled brat.

I dunno... he's not so bad. *rimshot*
:lol

New episode on tonight.

I Want My Baby Back

Sam, Sock, and Ben turn to Tony for help when an escaped soul leaves her baby behind. Morgan lets slip to Andi that Sam is really the Devil's son.

Just starting- holy shit at Alessandro Juliani and Ken Marino in the opening credits. And, I'm sorry to say, I'd never really noticed Finn's name in there before, either.

:lol at the beginning bit

and socks sister is so hot, what a huge ass today when shes singing. wow
Andi was also looking quite hot also when she was yelling at Sam.

Can't wait for tonight's episode:D

i wouldnt say the best but it was very good.

"excuse me, i think youre sitting on my penis"

(or something like that) :lol

Great episode. Although i hope it really doesn't go down a teen love drama soapie path with sam and andi, That would ruin it for me.

Dunno about you guys, but I pretty much thought that was the best episode of the series. Great stuff.
Same and next weeks looks just as good.
"Decaying Body"

Yeah, it's not looking good. Here's hoping Tyler can find a way to showcase his acting talents/fiendish ability to recite dialogue that sounds like it should be in a Kevin Smith movie (and yes, I know about the Kevin connection to the show). And everyone else, too, but you've gotta love Sock.

Great episode this week. Plus, the David Lynch reference by the Devil was golden.

I really hope they pick up the show for at least one more season.

It's looking like it's pretty much done, folks. That's not to say that something wacky couldn't happen and the show comes back for a 3rd season, but it's looking like a long shot.

Keep watching though.

You know we will. Thanks for all the wacky misadventures.

Can't remember if I've posted in this thread yet, but you can count me in as another huge fan of the show. The fact that the show isn't likely to be renewed really fucking sucks.

So Finn, will the story at least get some kind of a wrap-up or real ending? Just please no cliff-hangers, anything but that. Not again...

That sucks man. I was planning on grabbing the DVDs this summer.

Well, I still am. But now I'm kind of hoping I dislike it. :(
