I saved the guy who was snake bit. He told me the same thing but for the General Store.
This guy looks like he couldn't afford to eat the next week.
I went in and promptly bought a $200+ suit.
It's on him I told the clerk.

I really wanted to play more of this last night but didn't get a chance. I generally play games slowly, and I am playing this one even slower than normal. Really having fun trying to be a good guy, though I had an accidental murder when a witness mistook my debt collection for a robbery lol.
I;ve been playing the good guy and was doing that mission early on in valentine, where have to go ambush a gang, and the mission was successful and all, but randomly my wanted meter went off. I had no idea why or what happened and saw some dudes on horseback coming my way through the woods. i was so confused as to what happened and so all of a sudden. i didnt even know how to turn myself in. i had no horse nearby, and just started sprinting away. got shot down eventually of course....but i was so pissed because it just came out of nowhere and gave me no on screen information what to do when wanted, which the game usually does when prompted with the first introduction to a game mechanic.
anyways....my point is - what do i do when i'm wanted? just stand there?

Had a similar situation early on. Basically, that area is a crime scene now and you don't have a whole lot of time to loot before the feds start showing up. At least that's how I see it because it has happened numerous times after major shootouts etc. I tend to loot bodies and head out quickly.
Turning yourself in means standing still and hitting L2 when it pops up...giving you a few options if I recall.
Some of these side quest are better than the main story, found a former slave driver?? and got some stuff back for him( you don't know his profession before this you see) Gave him a slug to the head and for some strange reason I got good karma for it? That kinda didn't sit right with me, should have not been rewarded for killing him.

Ran into this Klan meeting in the woods. Tossed a stick of dynamite right in the center re4 style and blew them all away and my health went up two levels
Came to the Indian reserve today, noticed the game locks you out of shooting? Couldn't even speed the horse up and whilst I could greet (and only greet) people there, they weren't very nice but there was no follow up I could do.
Some dude on Reddit just spoiled the game for me, or at least what I assume is the biggest spoiler in the game.
I’m usually very good at dodging spoilers. I know the routine. I didn’t know who got the bat from Negan in the season premier until the next season started (waited to binge watch everything).
I wasn’t on the RDR sub, was in a PS4 sub talking about console specs and random dude just did a drive-by spoiler ambush.

Yep, got it spoiled in the comments of a random video about RDR2 horses on YouTube yesterday. I was hoping it was a false spoiler, chalked it up to being my own fault for even browsing RDR2 comments, then saw the same spoiler in the comments of a WorldStarHipHop video today, of all places. I wasn't even really trying to read comments, I was just scrolling the page and skimming for no reason and there it was before I could even realizing I was reading it. There's no escaping it, apparently.

Lol I don't know what circumstances were that gave me that double upgrade to my health. Maybe killing them all in that particular way? I had to have been on the cusp of my health increasing anyway so that multi kill mustve given it that boost and then some

Ok cool. I heard some mention something about near a sawmill. I will scope the location you said tonight and have some fun! Wish I can take Charle's with me.
Man fuck this game sometimes. They will really up the ante on you if you're carrying too many perfect pelts. Got ambushed two times while trying to go back to the trapper only to get killed on the third ambush by a wagon with a machine gun.

are you in a later Chapter or Wanted or something? or how many perfect pelts?
I think over the last 20 hours or so of free roaming in Ch2 around the Heartlands, Grizzlies, and ummm the area between up in the East Grizzles all the way down to Emerald Ranch... i've usually had at least 5 at a time, sometimes maybe up to 10.... and I almost never get ambushed. and only by lawmen for a bounty I got in... ummm, Leymone or whatever it's called, the grassy area south of Emerald Ranch haha.
but even carrying 10 or so I've never noticed any change in random criminals ambushing me...

Yeah, sorry about that. I could just be wrong and it was just out of pure bad luck that I got ambushed three times while on my way back to the trapper carrying a lot of perfect pelts.
could be a feature, maybe if you're wanted or become more notorious? my morality bar or whatever is pretty much in the center and i don't spend too much time in wanted lands when i'm hunting... maybe it's related to something else other than just pelts?
tbh it sounds kinda cool haha... I play HUD less and went I get ambushed by lawmen it's sometimes the coolest/scariest moments lol =p I usually kinda figure it out tho because the music changes, and even though my HUD and mini-map are turned off, soon as I equip a gun it shows the mini-map and I inevitably kinda see the red marks on the map
So is it possible to find really good horses out in the wild or only in stables?
I've been running with a mediocre horse all game long. I've wanted to upgrade but all the horses in the stables look horrendous and sickly. If I'm going to use a horse for most of the game, it should at least look nice, lol.
been noticing some cool new details yet even so far into free roaming...
opossums actually play dead haha... you can walk up to them and it says Skin or Pickup, even tho they're still alive they just lay they're pretending to be dead, but take off if you try to actually interact with them
i like how every horse voice acting clip changes from boy to girl depending on the sex of your horse
saw somewhere else, a guy shot the store cashier in the head... and I guess the NPC didn't die? guy goes back to the store another day and cashier had a bandage wrapped around his head haha and then pulled out a gun and shot the player
had Bill come look for me after spending like 8-10 in-game days away from camp. said Dutch was worried since I had been gone so long.
came across Javier randomly way down in Big Valley lol... just scouting down some road o.0... didn't follow him too long. wonder if you can ever find other gang members out free roaming...

the Arabian that spawns in the far north-west in behind Isabella Lake
I stole a pretty fast horse from that 'wanna race me to X guy' haha... I was looking for a 2nd horse so I could take 2 hunting and that was the first time I ever saw that guy.
he said how fast his horse was and i was like o rly? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) no loose ends -- killed him haha and he washed down the river over a waterfall

I don’t get it, why does the companion app have to be in the same wifi as the console to work? I prefer to use Ethernet for my Xbox, but had to unplug it and connect to wifi to use the map on the companion app.
Yeah. After 15 hours of AC Odyssey I called it quits. I was bored to death. I’m 37 hours and 37% into this and easily see myself going over 100. Everything is so well done
Did you do the race? If you listen to his story that rich, old guy got conned. He says he paid a lot for the horse and it's just a Nokota which is a pretty cheap and common breed. And if you didn't beat him in the race you lost out on a horse training bonus.
While I was hunting for perfect skins for the satchel upgrades Javier rode up to me and says Bill got captured by bounty hunters. The two of you can then mount a rescue.
haha I suspected there would be a reward and I may miss out on something
but the story and head canon of it was too good for me to pass up... he was literally the first or second 'alone' guy on a horse I came across when I decided I wanted to steal 1 so I could go hunting with 2, and it was just so fitting that he bragged about his awesome when I was looking to steal one
knowing this game tho he may respawn... i've seen shop keepers or 'strangers and freaks' or whatever respawn despite having been killed.
