I'm suggesting that gamers rejected a hybrid system but instead of this I speculate that we will end up purely digital anyway, with nothing in between.
What the hell are you talking about? He was right on every single one of his predictions bar one, the Prince of Persia thing. I believe it's the only thing he's ever got wrong, so his reliability on GAF as a whole is still like 99% accurate.
But there's nothing about the snap feature that makes it work better with voice or gesture, is it? Also tbh I consider Kinect to be about the camera and the possibilities this brings, not the voice recognition. Unlike Microsoft, apparently.

I've no idea why people are trying to discredit CBOAT lately, despite him being spot on with his predictions on nearly everything.
I've seen it on other forums too, just seems weird.

yeah, there's plenty. it's virtually dependent on it. "Xbox, pull up ESPN" or "Xbox, Bing Stoya" won't work without the kinect cam.
"kinect" is both the camera AND the voice recognition. it's one package, not one or the other, and the voice recognition functions are a big part of the OS and navigation.
no kinect camera= no voice recognition, no gesture navigation, broken OS.
and sure. kinect sports was a pack-in, but so was wii sports (with the wiimote.)
not really relevant, tons of people bought the software/hardware.

none of these (sans uncharted and TLOU) are really 5+ million franchises, but having dozens of 500k to 1M titles over a broader range of genres means you're reaching more individual users.

I've only seen console warriors do it, with people quickly coming in to defend CBOAT (like here).

Xbox Live paywall? Again easy to infer.
Mirrors Edge 2? Amazon leaked the game for Xbox One, everyone assumed it was Xbox One exclusive, everyone was wrong, thankfully (Mirrors Edge 2 on PS4 <3)
Microsoft buying Third Parties to show Multiplatform games and make it seem Xbox One exclusive? Was rumor befored heavily, rumor was Microsoft was angry and was gonna money hat everything.
World of Tanks? I didn't see anything regarding this. Good work CBOAT. This one was 100% right and a leak, respect!
PS4 no paywall, maybe, not sure? That's not really a leak... It could go either way, obviously no knew but Sony and Sony high ups, probabaly.
Prince of Persia? Came out of nowhere, CBOAT was the first I heard of this. He was wrong. Or maybe he's not and Ubisoft is just waiting to reveal. We'll never know.
DRM will get worse? Kind of obvious as well and a safe prediction.
Honestly... You guys say he has a nice record, but I'm not seeing it. Please show me some leaks he got right undeniebly. I'm sure CBOAT is an insider, he got World Of Tanks and Dead Rising 3 right. Maybe he's sources were wrong this time?

you interpretation of CBOATs quotes are incorrect. most of the things you bolded are either statements that can't be confirmed (like the buying of nonmentions) or actually correct. I think the only one there that is provably not correct was prince of persia- and that was likely Halo- as it appears to be some kind of desert game up until the VERY last second. easy enough mistake to make.

Only one of those are wrong, that is Prince of Persia. The other that is half wrong (or right) is Mirrors Edge, it was shown, just not at Microsoft's conference. All the others are accurate.
You're really reaching. Just because Microsoft changed course after the backlash, does not make Cboat wrong. He was right at the time of posting.

exactly. and it's worth noting that CBOAT rightly painted the DRM as a "clusterfuck"- it didn't even last until gamescom until MS scrapped it entirely.

Well, he (and famous) also claimed that MS would be buying up third party talking rights when it was in fact Sony who did this.

And I'm pretty sure that famousmortimer was the first person who claimed DR3 would be a One exclusive, he was also right on a lot of other stuff and he doesn't feel the need to write in such an odd and confusing way.

3. Cloud power was designed as DRM. Period. DRM was Microsoft's idea. EA and Ubisoft are supporters, Activision slightly less so.
This seems pretty clear. It's uses thus far have been half assed and completely mixed messaged, full of PR fluff etc. It's Sim City all over.
4. DRM plans are actually worse than what they've stated.
With the 60min timed demo family sharing, consoles not working in certain countries at launch etc, he was again, completely accurate.
5. Mirror's Edge 2 at MS conference.
It was shown, just not at the Microsoft presser.

You didn't watch E3? Sony pushed third party titles like crazy. As hard as MS have done in previous years, it was a role reversal if I ever saw one.

You can't use the 60 min thing as a confirmation that it was worse, as that is also based on CBOAT.
The part about the countries and the region lock is true though.

im not in the CBOAT dick sucking camp but CBOAT mentioned dead rising 3 years ago. Alot can change in that time.
The only thing that looked like they bought was Destiny. SE stuff just makes sense on Sony, I don't think MS would be willing to do it again after the sales of FFXIII on 360. MS got EA they got Metal Gear. Sony money hatted who? Indie games! Come on.

Nearly their entire press conference consisted of third party titles. Watch Dogs, Thief, Destiny, Diablo 3, Assassins Creed 4, Mad Max, etc, etc, etc.

I think the implication was that sony paid certain devs not to mention Xbone versions in progress.
For Diablo 3 at least, this was certainly true.
CBOAT however doesn't appear to have as many Sony contacts- most of his leaks are MS related- thus it would make sense that he had info about MS moneyhats, but none for sony, and what sony rumors he did have were unconfirmed.

You're right watch dogs is clearly a moneyhat, they wouldnt just show that at anyone's press conference
Sony also did it with FF and KH too. Only after the press conference did we learn that they were coming to X1 also.
Yeah, I guess Sony and MS are equally guilty of money hatting DLCs.
CBOAT wasn't only talking about the press conferences though.
I don't even know what the implication of that rumor is supposed to be.
