I liked them for a bit, saw some of their live performances (on tv) and thought "fuck that guy is a retard" then it turned out he was a little retarded and I felt bad, I like some of their songs though.

EDIT: the guy has aspergers syndrome, which is often described as a mild autism. People with it generally have a strong need for routine, probably not what a band can provide most times.

that has to be the best nirvana impression ive seen in recent years.

I do have to say that The Vines are actually a pretty damn good studio band. Their CDs have some great songs, and they actually have great range in that they can do a slower paced song, as well as rock out.

Okay, I'll be honest. I haven't heard any Vines songs except that "Get Free" or whatever, and I hated it. I was just being facetious, because everyone's been saying The Strokes' new song sounds like The Vines. The screaming parts do, anyway.
