Reports on Russian connections to Trump [Summaries in OP] #GoldenShowers

With all due respect, this is all there really is:

Two numbers being roughly equal - 19% and 19.5%. The rest is all circumstantial or guilt by association.

And on top of that we really don't know jack further than those sentences "they were offered a 19% stake" and "Russia sold 19.5% of its stake". Actual investigation by people in the know might reveal it's a totally normal business transaction with no way for the money to be funneled into private funds. Or it might be a completely out of kilter transaction that made no business sense and came through odd channels.

The concern, from my reading, is that the predicted amount is coming out of russia and into qatar, and an equivolent amount is coming out of qatar and towards Trump. If we had a better view into Trump's finances some of this may or may not make more sense, but alas we don't have his tax returns.

Do you really think every single node of data in that report isn't being combed over right now by the intelligence community? Cmon, guys!

Don't get me wrong, I am convinced there's a lot of shady shit going on, and the Rosnaf stuff is likely true, to some degree. Fascinating and terrifying.

It likely is. But apparently things only get moving along when the press get a hold of it.

- Trump wants to meet Putin in Iceland within weeks of becoming president (mirroring the Reagan-Gorbachev summit in Iceland three decades ago)
- British intelligence has sought reassurance from the CIA that the identity of British agents in Russia will be protected when intelligence is shared

Listen, this is important that everyone realizes this: Your (our) fantasy of Trump getting arrested before Friday ... or ever ... doesn't happen without McConnell and Ryan and a LARGE MAJORITY of Republicans in Congress willing to sign off on the action. Which will obviously come with a 'and we'll name his replacement' deal.

As long as they

1. are not a puppet for a foreign power
2. follow the recommendations of the United States Office of Government Ethics
3. aren't a huge pissbaby

They're better than Trump.

I'm well aware the years to come will be rough, regardless

Who???

God our media really is split into right and left bubbles.

Well, right and normal bubbles really

Or rather I only get my news from GAF and why would we ever source them of course

You're better off not knwoing who Tomi is. Beautiful on the outside but as ugly as they come on the inside.

This reads more like people in Trump's circle taking advantage of his election win than anything else. Paul Manafort, his former campaign manager, resigned shortly after his financial history with Russian-Ukrainian officials came to light. It wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't the only one.

For instance, why would Trump want to use the Qatari's to funnel $10billion into an infrastructure project when he has the US Treasury now? Or is it someone on his team that will profit of this instead?

Manafort resigned in name only. He still advised Trump and the dude lives in Trump Tower.

It's an opinion not a "truth." In my opinion someone who constantly contradicts himself and says the exact opposite of what he means because he can barely speak his native language correctly for some reason shouldn't be labeled a brilliant speaker.

I work in consulting and Trump would be back office never speak to the client roles.

Having simple messages doesn't make you a brilliant speaker.

Well, then that explains it doesn't it? For you using eloquent and professional language makes a brilliant speaker, for others its the effectiveness and persuasiveness of what he says.
He doesn't use proper grammar, cares nothing for the truth and even less about who he may offend, has neither logical arguments nor any internal consistency, and this all doesn't matter.

When he talks, people pay attention and remember him. People remember what he wants them to remember. He used this skill to become president, he did not just luck into this.

He also makes sure everybody knows that if you oppose him you are attacked, and if you support him you are rewarded. Everybody knows this. This serves him well, and will continue to do so. If he is eventually impeached or jailed or whatever, it is by being overwhelmingly evil and despite his form of communication, not because of it.

(partial) summary write up of the money trail for now:
Seems this is at the core of what is going on.

Ex Mi-6 agent Chris Steele's 35 page long opposition research dossier on Trump is dated October 18th and has this bombshell in it:
Russian State Oil Company CEO Sechin (who is part of Putin's inner circle) offered Trump/Page associates 19% stake in Rosneft if personal and state sanctions were lifted.
SOURCE: https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/3259984/Trump-Intelligence-Allegations.pdf

On November 7th, Russia signed the deal to sell 19.5% of its stake in Rosneft - which amounts to $11 billion - to Glencore Plc and Qatar sovereign wealth fund.
Commodity trader Glencore Plc and Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund agreed to buy a 10.2-billion euro ($11 billion) stake in Russia’s largest oil producer from the state in a triumph for President Vladimir Putin over sanctions imposed by the West.
SOURCE:https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...und-buy-russia-s-rosneft-stake-for-11-billion

What a coincidence on December 26th: A top executive of Rosneft Oleg Erovinkin, also a former FSB agent, was found dead, with no official cause of death.
SOURCE:http://www.dailysabah.com/europe/20...b-agent-rosneft-official-found-dead-in-moscow

Starting in September, it was reported that Carter Page would be 'advising Trump on energy policy and Russia', and has been probed by the US regarding ties to Russian leaders. Page also has ties with executives at Gazprom through his assistance in advising 'some of its biggest deals in the past decade'. Gazprom is the investment bank that funded the 19.5% purchase of the Rosneft stake by Glencore.

And then we have this:
The head of Qatar's sovereign wealth fund said it would invest $10 billion in unspecified infrastructure projects inside the United States in response to Donald Trump. Qatar was part of the sale of the 19.5% of Rosnef.

That is it ladies & gentlemen, forget the revenge golden showers & prostitutes. All peanuts compared to this.
What will be left of those 11 billion dollars after all partners got their fair share will make Trump look good on infrastructure investments. So it seems Russia is in it for the long run of at least 8 years of Trump.
Seems all pretty simple really.

Erm wut ? This seems like a really big deal - what the hell is happening ?

Envision a world in the not too distant future where the 2 political parties are Neogaf and 4chan.

Sounds too much like what we already have. 4chan(aka GOP) gets motivated to get shit done (terrible things, but they do it) while Neogaf(aka Dems) is too nihilistic to get motivated to do anything.

This is damn telling of how much the closest US allies trust the incoming US government.

It means people are going to have to push this if no one else is. I think people tend to forget how much information travels when people actually work outside the established means. This is how Trump got elected, after all. Post it on facebook, people.

Yeah eapically with the comments from Gaffers saying "Nothing will come of this" well not with that attitude

Someone post this on Reddit. Tweet it with #TrumpUSSR and email this to NYT, Vox, BBC, Trump Investors, your senators, governors, congressmen – everyone who might be able to grok this. Including the FBI.

Trump's team is also apparently calling up EU members and keeps asking who's leaving:

Donald Trump’s transition team have called EU leaders to ask “what country is to leave next” with a tone suggesting the union “is falling apart” this year, according to the outgoing US ambassador to the bloc.

In a pugnacious parting press conference, Anthony Gardner warned of “fringe” voices such as Nigel Farage, the former UK Independence party leader, holding influence in Washington over Mr Trump’s team.

Speaking days before leaving office, Mr Gardner said it would be “lunacy” and “the height of folly” for the US to ditch half a century of foreign policy in order to support further EU fragmentation or become a “Brexit cheerleader” in Brussels.

So if Trump meets Putin and wants to give him the info of every secret agent current working that the US knows about... is there anything actually stopping that from happening?

I mean it will but to say it has to happen is false
I may be wrong, but from what I recall there is no real legal mechanism or president for preventing a precidential inauguration. Trying to navigate that quagmire would add a nightmare on top of another ongoing nightmare. It would be less harmful to swear him in and then oust him through the established legal means.

This will be the first time in nearly 50 years that a President's first foreign trip wasn't to Canada, Mexico or the UK (you know, allies).

You have new allies now and you'll like it! The new president is a germaphobe and doesn't deal with EUrine.

Any sensible country would delay inauguration under these circumstances if further investigation was deemed to be necessary, but the US has an extremely inflexible political system.

What amazes me most about this is that it's like he's not even trying to make it seems like there's nothing going on.

The only rational explanation for a move like that is that you are being forced into it. But I guess we can't discount the possibility that he's not acting rationally at all.

At this point, just fucking do it.

Stop everything, make it a crisis, halt the process and cause a fucking ruckus.

Better that then the alternative if everything is true and we just let it slide because we're a bunch of fucking pansies
