Brett Elston from Capcom-Unity (listen to his podcasts VGMpire and Laser Time) posted 2500x1600 screenshots of the game and also a 60 fps download link of the launch trailer.

Wccftech is garbage. Complete garbage.
So now the naysayers can shut up about this game not having 60fps cutscenes and not having higher resolution than 1080p.
Seriously, when was the last time Capcom put out a shit port? Especially when QLOC was on the job.
Anyone else beat RE4 PC on keyboard only? I can't be a master race by myself.
Psh, 15? Looks like a soap opera on fast forward. 12FPS is where it's at, son. Twice as cinematic.
Thanks for the links Iron Badger
Magic is gone at 60 FPS
That "cinematic" argument for games is bunk because film is a series of still images that is "exposed" for 1/24th of a second, so when something moves while being exposed, it blurs near-seamlessly into the next frame. There is no exposure time in games, so 30fps just looks more jittery.
It anything, I was playing Quake and Doom at 100fps, and now I'm playing games at 60fps![]()
I played the first 1/3rd of the game with kb and no lighting. It looked and controlled like shit and I still believed this was one of the very best games I've ever played.
Playing the game before the lighting patch was hilarious, especially when you got to the castle or the prison later in the game. Snow-white walls, corridors lit up. Atmosphere was nowhere to be seen, and yet the game was still great :lol.
That's some amazing insight, I'll have to keep this in mind.I FINALLY GET IT! This is why novels are considered such high art! Those are like, less than 1 frame per second. Except for those damn speed-readers.
And paintings! Those are one frame, FOREVER. MOST ART! BEST ART!
I'm legitimately shocked that Capcom went in and retextured parts of the game.
I love the sharper text. One of things that bothered me on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions was the blurry low res text.
Looks like they just saved less compressed versions of the textures from the original files to me, with the odd re-done texture.

All these controller scrubs.

Do you guys think we will be seeing Code Veronica HD after this?

And RE1, 2, Nemesis, RE Remake, RE 0. I hope so, i'd kill for these games on Steam.
I'll buy the whole thing instantly even if it cost $100
I really hope RE 4 sells good. I pre-ordered and can't wait to play it again. Last time i've played was in 2005 when it was released on PS2.

There was already a Code Veronica X on XBL/PSN, right?
Edit: Oh, that's just a port of the GameCube Port of Code: Veronica. Yeah, HD would be nice

I love how there are maybe 2 or 3 seconds of gameplay in that trailer. Everything else is a montage of action-oriented scenes from cut-scenes and FMVs :lol
For those curious, this is what Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition looks like rendered in 4K in Dolphin.
30 fps, 360 controller support, no texture packs, 4xSSAA, downsampled to 1080p.
