Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Aniplex has announced Resident Evil: Survival Unit, a new strategy game co-developed with JOYCITY in close collaboration with Capcom. It will launch for iOS and Android across North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Asia.

"Resident Evil: Survival Unit offers a fresh take on the beloved franchise, reimagining the survival horror universe as a real-time strategy experience optimized for mobile platforms, iOS and Android," reads the press release. "The game is designed to appeal to both longtime fans and new players."

An online showcase event will be held on July 10 at 3:00 p.m. PT / 6:00 p.m. ET. You will be able to watch it on YouTube.

Capcom, you want GaaS RE game?

OUTBREAK.
Yeah it's kinda nuts that they haven't brought back Resident Evil Outbreak or made a Day Z style of game set in Racoon City or something like that.

"Fetch" in this case is Capcom's incessant need to turn RE into anything other than RE. They never learn lol. Unreal.

Lost me at mobile, but it made me think that I'd definitely play a Resident Evil XCOM (or rather STARS).

Oh lord. Got a flashback of that terrible side game that launched with RE3 remake, which is also terrible. Can't even remember the name. This phone game is also terrible. It's all terrible!

I wish they'll do a Resistance 2 cause that one was actually super fun and spend thousands of hours on it unlike Reverse. Or do a Outbreak game since that actually fits Resident Evil, just unfortunately done way ahead of it's time back then.

Resident Evil RTS? On PC it would have been odd but it could work with hero STARS units and managing the police departments and or Umbrella, to keep areas outbreak free as you rebuild but instead it will be just another shitty mobile game of cooldowns that you can pay to speed up.

Not a turn based fan, but done right it can be entertaining.

I had something completely else in my mind when I was envisioning this. Looks really bad imo.

This is a lot better than that FFXV mobile game that was basically a city builder. It could be better. Mobile gaming makes me laugh.

Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V, Ami right?

Funny, I feel from these far out designs and snippets, this team would be better off making Parasite Eve.

I ain't touching this nonsense.

When I saw the 3/4 perspective and the general mood of the game I sat up in my chair, I thought to myself 'Capcom could do the funniest thing right now', but then the combat began and I said 'oh, it's just ATB with lanes'.

They were so close.

Such a weird series; there's more bad games than good games.
