Returnal may be headed to Steam!

But what is the use of having a console with supposed exclusives, if it will eventually come out on PC?

There is no point in having a ps5, for that it is better to have a high-end pc.
Let's drop a grand to match games PS5 is outputting. Sounds like a plan!

In case you haven't noticed the PC market is way over valued right now. Paying more for old cards than when they came out.

Also Windows is shit. I game on Linux but I'm not sure it would be good for top end games.

what a surprise! i was told by many people on here i would need to wait YEARS to play PS games on PC.
For most it seems you do. For new niche IPs like this that might not sell well it may be sooner.

until now yeah maybe but they could be changing their approach. i wouldn't be surprised if games come to PC much quicker. Sony really needs to get into the PC market more seriously if they want to compete with MS in that regard.

How are Microsoft and Sony in competition in the PC market? They are both just third party publishers on Steam.

The game is very demanding of the PS5. They wouldn't be upscaling plus
checkerboarding from 1080p if it wasn't. Will make for a great benchmark trying to hit native 4K 60fps at max settings.

Does this game use the sound technology thing of the ps5? Does any game use it? I'm intrigued I haven't seen mentions of that anywhere

It does, with the dualsense features as well.

lmao MS basically owns the PC market. Even if MS didn't release on Steam you can still play their games on PC at the same time as consoles. And get this....if you buy it on one platform you won't need to buy it a second time to play on the other.

I don't think they do.
I think they do.

I played Returnal over a year ago.
good for you. buy i'd rather not waste £450 on a PS5 if their games are going to eventually release on PC. i don't care if i have to wait a year, two, or more. I'm not spending £450 on something I don't really need.

also, you'll get it for cheaper on PC. and of course...much better graphics/performance than PS5.

Meh...I'd rather have ps4 era ports first. This may bomb on PC. I am not sure how many pc gamers have specs that match a PS5. Add some Sony PC unoptimization on top a la HZD or God of war and you will have only top end rigs being able to run this game with good fps.

Too small of a target market.

Game is literally launching into ps plus before a pc release date is even announced… also how is that cheaper?

While I've been a PC gamer only for a decade and don't own any consoles, I never understand this logic.
Some people are fine with the console experience and just don't want to use a PC, it's as simple as that. When I was younger for example I used to own consoles and I didn't care about exclusives at all, I wasn't thinking about what was exclusive or not, I simply owned a console because that's where I was playing.

If people would be willing to switch over to pc just because of no exclusives, that would mean they don't actually really like their gaming experience on the console outside of exclusives, and at that point I think it's weird and you should just switch to pc completely because if you're not satisfied with console gaming, the bonus of pc gaming outweight a few exclusive games.

Most people just don't care that a game is available on another platform than theirs.

It just a matter of time before they start doing day one PC, 2024 or 2025.

PS5 is gonna be last successful Sony console, soon only Nintendo consoles will keep being successful.

Implying just because they launch day one on pc all of a sudden the hundreds of millions of console players like me won't buy the next playstation anymore?

I can tell you right now I will continue to prefer consoles as long as they make them so will the millions of others.

Cool, I liked Nex Machina and Resogun and this game always looked kinda cool to me, so I'd be all in for getting it at some point.

Wasn't expecting to be getting PS5 titles so soon tho, I thought they were going to do all the PS4 exclusives firts.

Nah, I'm sure the game will run fine at 1080 medium settings on a 1060, so long as they don't do a crappy port.

I know the game is a looker, but turning down/off the craziest stuff should make it more bearable for older hardware.

don't worry, there's a lot of PC gamers that have PCs that not only match but exceed the specs of a PS5.

PS5 came out in 2020. the PC market moves quickly. did you know we have GPUs that are 40TF and we have SSDs that can do 7.1GB/s and will soon be able to go up to 14.2GB/s?

PS5 might have had impressive specs in 2020 against a PC but we're not in 2020 anymore. PS5 is not that great in terms of PC now.

No, Valve owns the PC market. If MS owned the PC market then they wouldn't be putting their games on Steam at all. Either way, none of that explains how Sony is in competition with Microsoft on PC.

MS owns Windows.

Sony doesn't have any control over Steam or Windows. Again, if MS didn't release on Steam they still have their own store to sell games on Windows. Sony HAS to use Steam.

Maybe a mod to add clothes to Selene?

Nah I'm just pretending I agree with the virgins and boys, I'm team #SexySelene. I would take her out for a nice dinner if you catch my drift.

Glad more people will have access to this awesome game.

If you like Rouge likes, get this game!
Super hard at first, but super fun.
Great graphics, sound, story, and mechanics.
Highly recommended for any Rouge like fan.

For people who live outside the USA a gaming PC can be very expensive. A good GPU like a 3060 or so it's $300 isn't? For $400 you can get a PS5 DE.

I would love to build a gaming PC if i live in the USA i would but i don't... I have around 12yr i left PC gaming and only playing on console.
