It was hard enough just to get the information that I did get out of my contact. I'm just not going to push him for it - especially since he knows I am here on GAF. It's just not worth it tbh.
 
I wonder what is a more time consuming endeavor, installing GPU drivers and adjusting game settings or entering every PC thread on neogaf and extolling the virtues of how simple console gaming is.

It's a disgrace that this is how every thread about PC gaming goes at this place. At least Sony loves us PC gamers.

This - and it's often not just extra clicks, it's still not uncommon to end up spending a substantial amount of time troubleshooting or tweaking out of the box configs to get it 'just right'.
Eg. like the fact that HDR is broken about 50% of the time even for console ports that originally have it - and while you can often work around it with mods, or Auto-HDR etc. - virtually none of that 'just works' - it's always tweaks, and jumping through hoops etc. And as the number of store-fronts keeps growing and adding more and more incompatibilities and feature fragmentation, many tweaks/mods (like extensive controller customization for custom schemes like using motion controls on just about anything - a thing that I can only wish consoles copied) - are only getting to be more effort to do every year.

Didn't you have a game that flopped hard back in the day. It's no wonder if you did, you seem to have a problem with doing basic functionality on a PC
 
Once there's 'disable boring repetition mechanic trying to extend a short game' mods available it could be a decent game.

This 'rogue-like' trend is just lame. There was just a few variants and order in this game, and they added nothing.

That one time I couldn't boot Elden Ring on Steam, because I had the latest Epic Launcher installed. No shit. One evening everything was fine, next day I boot up my PC, say to myself let's update that trash launcher, did nothing else, wanted to start Elden Ring and bam, no luck. Tried disabling Easy Anti Cheat, thought it was there servers and couldn't think of Epic messing with it until I've read it on reddit, kind of buried, but someone with the same problem and the solution: uninstall epic launcher and it works. So I did and it did work.

I mean wtf. And as I said, as someone who plays 90% on PC I could write up like five more anecdotes like this.

I never got dates nor prices. As I said before, "expensive" to me means near Nvidia 2080 costs. The guessing is all on me so take it with a grain of salt.

PS5 as of now is 9TF. I specifically asked that and got a yes.

PS5 falls in between performance of the Lockheart and the XSX. That is confirmed.

The iffy part is the PS5 Pro.

"they have one model with lower specs than PS5 and one model with higher specs. PS5 is right in the middle" -- talking about the Xbox SKUs.

"tons of rumors that the lower spec xbox is coming out this year".

Anyway, I tried to piece together was is happening. It appears like the PS5 Pro is coming later. That would mean the base PS5 is 9TF and perhaps the 2 SKUs for Xbox are releasing during xmas 2020.

So 2 models. Possible 2 coming out from Microsoft but 1 coming out for Sony.

I'm just as confused as you guys but I won't press for straight answers.

Once you understand the patterns of the boss and come into them with the right weapons and health, you're fine.

I was surprised that many couldn't get past the first boss. Took me 4 tries, but it's all about knowing the patterns to their moves.

I was pointing out this 100% accurate claim is not true.

Also PS5 = 1080 performance? It's almost 50% faster and matches the 2080 Super. Your original claim was that the PS5 was 1080 performance, not the Ti variant:

Every company I've worked at has their batch of new products to release every year. Anywhere from 50-100 new items. And that's just Canada. Other countries do their own thing, while we mostly latch onto the US launches plus some custom Canadian products.

Out of all of the cancelled products, I'd say more than half are good to go right into launch year. But literally 6 months before launch the plug is pulled. And that's because it looks like there's no good traction with the retailers, so we can it. There are times the product is still good to go (it'll just be delayed a bit), but ends up getting cancelled anyway.

So for anyone leaking secrets for years about what's being prepped in R&D and what is shown in powerpoint decks, the product, price, picture etc.... might be all 100% accurate UNTIL someone calls the shot at the 11th hour to axe it. It happens. Happens in gaming too.

Cant fault anyone who had legit info because it was true for years until it was cancelled.

Product changes too. All year the new product is shown internally looking like this. Pictures and prototypes look the same. Then the product is closing in on launch and we all get our share of free samples from the factory as perk. WTF? It looks different. Same core product, ML or Gram weighting etc.... but the label colours are different and the lid is different. Manufacturing is also calling an audible now telling everyone the wholesale case is changing from 8 units to 12 for sake of efficiencies. So go tell your buyers at Walmart head office we have these last minute changes. It happens.

Considering the fact that Spider-Man and Wolverine weren't in the nvidia leak, I'd say we still have to wait a bit.

But they'll come. Definitely two of the biggest moneymakers for Sony in the PC market. I think they're still going slow to ease the Sony fanboys into accepting the new reality.

Boiling frog and all that bullshit.

I agree. Its just typical chatter before a anticipated show/reveal. We see this every year, no matter whats shown at any event, posters are gonna say it was a dissapointing show.
 
The SteamDB page is now showing "internal_ship_comp" and "internal_dev_comp" - I don't think they were there a couple of days ago. If "comp" stands for "complete"... release/announcement not far off?
