go to tagtag.com, set up a WAP account, and upload MIDIs to your account. Then you can retrieve them via wireless web. All free.

Verizon sucks balls for apps (ringtones/backgrounds/games) you can have on your phone.
You have to use this Get It Now Bullshit, and everthing costs a ton of money. The ringtones are not nearly as good as those I've heard on friends phones, there is very little variety of backgrounds, and very few apps let you test them before having to pay.

I agree that 2 dollars for a 20 second ringtone is ridiculous and I would never pay it either. I think those PC link cables are pretty expensive though so I might be stuck if this phone or service won't let me download ringtones, that tagtag.com place seems to be down on my phone too.

I got most everything for my T610 from myt610.net.
By the by, polyphonic really means its just a midi. Seriously, I have downloaded a full 2 minute version of the Dracula theme. So you can also get it there. I just dled them on to my computer, then emailed them to my phone.

You the man El Papa. Street Fighter's Ken Stage is now my new ringtone. I used to just upload midis from vgmusic to my ftp and download, but this seems more convenient.
EDIT - They sound a lot better too, probably because the midis were designed as ringtones. Awesome.

Is there any way to download the midis from that polyphonicringtonez website? Some of the ringtones would sound great if they were cut a little.

There's a program called PsmPlayer I use. Easy to use, you just have to listen to the MIDI and do some trial and error. You have to cut frames and stuff like that...

God, it's threads like this that make me want to get a cellphone, even though I don't even need a cellphone.

So is there any way around Verizon's aformentioned Get It Now bullshit? I actually bought a few ringtones and while cool, no way they were worth the $5.
