I've probably never been this triggered before..
Yeah it's mean and evil as shit, who cares, masterpiece of a movie.
Top quality RoboCop badassery, best entrance in history of cinema, meta levels through the roof with the whole "RoboCop 2 and PC programming", RoboCain go-motion..

Kershner never miss.

Third is a turd I pretend never existed though.
I'll be honest and I will need to rewatch it but its the bit where RoboCop is made to look like a bitch and beaten and cut up by a gang of kids that really irks me

I just wish they played the main theme more. Put it on repeat for every gunfight, I dont care. I cant get tired of it.
Yea I want that as well, I will say though the music is really good, was it made for the Game or is it taken from the Films?

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

It uses the main theme from the movies in the game, but to the point the poster you quoted made, I recall it only being used a few times, once in the first fight in the game right at the intro and once in the final stretch of combat.

Just finished the courthouse side quest. The level of destruction was insane! This was the next gen version of the MGS2 lounge we've been waiting for and the open world craze stole from us. Make more indoor games people! Imagine could we could have with current hardware.

This is a legit good game.

The obvious flaws are faces/animation and AI.

Other than this, it can look in the eye any other AAA game out there.

-Great graphics. Even on performance mode on PS5 it can look photorealistic at times.
-Attention to detail.
-Fun exploration.
-Very satisfying gunplay with awesome gore.
-The small sandbox design just works. I have no clue why so few developers follow this template.
-Every side quest was great with memorable characters and good writing.
-Tough moral choices in dialogues (though it seems there is no impact??? not that it matters imo, just expressing myself felt good)
-Nothing overstays it's welcome. Everything is tightly designed and lasts until it is fun.
-Nice skill tree.
-Great design choice to make you feel like a walking tank.

Really great job developers. I hope it is a huge success.

Dialogue choices do have an effect. There are multiple endings based on your decisions.

I watched both R1 and R2 few days ago and do not remember this.
I remember Robo getting completely dismantled limb by limb in R2, but it's not kids who do that. There is one kid that uses something like MG42 to shoot off Robo's hand, but he is the only kid there (and is portrayed as a no fucks given killer, which is edgy as fuck). Rest of the gang are all adults led by Tom Noonan (Cain).

R2 suffers because it does not have Verhoeven's perfectionism and Poledouris's soundtrack, but it is still a solid movie.

So terminator doesn't look any worse than fallout 4 without mods and people were bitching about the graphic in a game with probably 1\5 of the budget?

It's clear that this guys are talented with graphic, they deserve a big budget for their next game.

Yeah, I was pissed about that as well. Their Terminator game does post-apocalyptic setting so much better than recent Fallout games, it's not even funny. How are you enjoying the game?

Are you blasting the main theme on full volume every time you start it? If not, you should.

I went in cold, pleasantly surprised it's seems pretty good. Robocop is a special character for me so hoping it stays pretty good.

I really need to rewatch it then

I still listen to the Terminator soundtrack it's just everything a game soundtrack should be. Too bad it was never going to win any awards.

I booted up the game for the first time earlier and I almost shit myself! During the first scenes when you control RoboCop, I noticed faint smears around the center of the screen where the reticle is. This was news to me and I genuinely thought my tv had either screen burn or some sort of defective pixels etc.

For atleast an hour I was playing test screens via YouTube and other games/films looking for the strange smears. I then searched the Web for the strange smear issue on RoboCop and discover via Reddit it's actually meant to be there like small imperfections looking through RoboCops visor.

I have thin paper walls, i can't blast anything on max volume without my neighbours calling the police on me.

So replaying and gotta say enjoyed the brief courthouse section in the 2nd open city bit. I missed it on my first playthrough. It's insane a lot of games on second playthroughs aren't as fun as the first but shit I'm still loving this game. Picking different skills to build first changes the experience a bit and kind of freshens it up a bit.

Still new game plus is number 1 on my list of additions. Could only imagine a supercharged Robo playing from the beginning. I know odds of another game are slim but damn I'd kill to see more robo games from them. Most fun I've had gaming in years.

Yeah same. I got a feeling that I'm gonna enjoy it more than the first playhrough since I now know how to cause mayhem from the beginning.

This game does have some technical "issues" though:

- Walking through water does nothing. No animations, ripples etc
- Textures never stop loading (UE5 doing its worst. Just stand still and you will see things change around you. Could be sluggish nanite implementation.)
- Enemies just disappear after shooting them (Destroyed an ED-209, after cutscene it was just gone. This is 1 example)
- Animations are rough
- Lip sync..... Yeah.. About that

Thing I miss which should be there:

- An option to change the behavior of auto lock-on. Sometimes when I want to blow off a limb, it snaps to the head. A bit annoying.
- No HUD option
- No NG+ option
- Maybe an option to preload textures, im ok with having longer loading for this.

Other then a few things that can be patched, this game is my GOTY by far!

The reeee takes are something else:

Do NOT turn off film grain.

They had low budget and worked their whole art direction to be enhanced by film grain.

I know we all turn it off but here you go from a solid looking game to a ps3 game if you turn it off.

I turned off film grain and it looked more like a ps2 game bordering on ps1 tier.

That last line...... Yeah, NOPE! :D :D
Where is this from? RetardEra? Or a forum for people with an eye disease?

Today I went back and did 2 last 'achievements' that I missed (hidden stashes). I already miss this game.

End slides were super cool, reminded me so much of classic Fallout 1/2. It's crazy that Robocop is doing choice/consequence better than modern-day Bethesda.

Last conversation with psychiatrist was also great at summarizing the things you've done and how it impacted life of other characters.

I dare to say it: my Robocop had a character arc. I started the game questioning if I'm a man or machine. Then through interactions with others I came to realization that I am indeed a man but my duty as a cop is more important than my personal needs and I wouldn't want my old life back. The city needs me. I was role-playing in a Robocop game, that's wild.

DLC, please.

Fucks sake...playing on normal, and sticking with the 9. Keep pressing zero for "crouch" when I'm under heavy fire. 😄 Making use of the pillars etc for cover. Been spanked a few times..

Anyone know why there's a red "penalty" in my gun upgrade screen? Cannot slot anything in there...

The idea is not to allow the 'current' to flow in these red penalty areas. You might consider watch a tutorial on this. Check this out:

Yeah I posted a pic of my final setup. +118% damage and my reload speed was disgusting :messenger_grinning_smiling:

Havent been so bummed after finishing something in awhile. Like one of those "I dont feel like playing anything for a bit" type feels. That sorta shit never happens with me.
