Rock Band Platform |OT|

I broke the 360 controller clip on my Mad Catz mic stand. Anyone know the easiest way to get a new one? I sent an email to Mad Catz, I might call them in a bit. I don't want to mail the whole package. (Under Mad Catz warranty, Not circuity city now)

I tried super gluing it, but when I snap it back in place, it just cracks the seam again.

This album has a pretty high amount of swearing, an edited as usual Harmonixed version sounds awful. Too bad, I actually like the record too.

I watched A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge last night for the first time in a long time, and that movie is unintentional hilarity from beginning to end.
 
I am probably late to the party here, but I am just after seeing an advert for the 360 on RTE (and Irish channel). I only caught the end of it, so I don’t know what game it was for, but they were people whistling, and at the end text at the bottom of the screen said "Rock Band Available Now, Rock Band 2 Out In November"

...this is new right? Or at least confirmation of a rumour of the Euro release date?
 
OK, fuck this; somebody who is good at the New YYZ; which finger are you using to hold down the initial notes in the main riff? I seem to be doing better if I use my 4th finger.

I hate this song so fucking much. I just played it half a dozen times, I can't get over 100k. I feel depressed :(
 
HALP! Today I bought the RB2 drum controller (which works great) and a RB2 guitar. The guitar is defective as shit while playing Rock Band 1 at any rate. About half the time when you strum, it registers two strums. Also, even when the video output shows you hitting a note, the audio makes the noise like you didn't hit it, and no bass line follows. My wife's about to quit Rock Band for good.

So my question: I bought it from EB today. If I take it back tomorrow with the sales receipt, will they exchange it for me? Also, has anyone else with a RB2 guitar tried to play on RB1? Is this some kind of incompatibility or something?

Ah, someone after my own heart. I do, however, think that Failure are just about underground enough that they wouldn't make it in. They were never really "big".

I think they're trying to do singles right now because of RB2. Get 'em to download one or two tracks and then we'll have them for good.

After trying to listen to some of BSSM today, I think I hate them too. They've got some singles I can enjoy, but for the most part they just really, really annoy me.

I just FC'd another song on guitar that I never would have been able to FC without living in practice mode for a long time, (I never touch practice mode) courtesy of hyperspeed. Jukebox Hero. It's an easy song, but I'd break combo at least twice each time before, never on the same note, but always on the same patterns.
Oh, I also FC'd Devour with 100% downstrums today. Again, not a big deal, but I make careless mistakes a lot. I didn't even FC Charlene the first time. I think the only song I've FC'd every time is They Say. It's impossible to make a mistake in that song.

I can't believe you can downstrum that whole song. Ever since I got somewhat good at alt strumming I just can't go back.
 
Maybe Suck my Kiss if the guitar is decent. If not then probably nothing this week.

That's ok, I went crazy last week.

I could do it all day. The load times are long enough for me to fully recover from the tiny bit of fatigue it causes, lol.
Oh, and I have gold stars on Dead on Arrival. Muahahahahahahah. I don't need to alt-strum on that, either.
 
man you jerks are making me second guess buying the whole album. I've gotten every other album to date.

I'mma have to give it a few listens..

Going through trying to get the 25 expert challenges achievement and just noticed something. Hungry Like the Wolf on expert bass has 666 notes! OMG!

And by the way, easiest challenge to get the "buy an instrument already" achievement is to do the Who's Next album challenge on expert bass. And dammit I would have had 100% on Wont Get Fooled again if my blue button(les paul) didnt short out occasionally. Made me miss two notes in the middle dammit, thus robbing me of my gold stars!

That's funny. Dead on Arrival is the sole song I chose to permanently delete. Challenge or fun to play or not, shit music is still shit music.


Also, has anyone tried the Master Exploder Vocal Challenge? I wanted to give it a whirl this week but I came down with a cold and can barely speak well, much less breathe.
 
If I've bought full albums in Rock Band 1 and don't like all of the songs, can I remove them in Rock Band 2? Or not import them at all? I don't know how the function works...are the songs on my HDD automatically in the game?
 
Nah. Albums are all or nothing. If you had bought every song individually you could delete what you wanted, though.
