I'm buying GHWT for the working guitar. No other reason.
It has a detachable neck, so I guess you have no reason to buy GHWT. Just mod a RB guitar. (strummer for sure, whammy spring and overdrive sensor depending on your luck)

umm.... but it would only be incomplete UNTIL you got RB2, which I am assuming is an inevitability... just saying. I agree that it's a pretty crappy practice, but if RB2 is a forgone conclusion the decision should be easy.

Maybe I can look in to it then. Right now? Rage.

Hell yeah! 2 weeks of awesome DLC in a row. This'll be the first album I buy in it's entirety.

Sir Psycho Sexy is gonna be sooo censored.

fuck californication. yeah, I said it.

This, even though I do like Californication. BSSM is the better album.

Since most people frequent both the RB2 and GHWT thread I'll just post this here:

Does RB2 support a hyperspeed mode for guitar? If it does, are you allowed to select the hyperspeed rating for only an individual fretboard and not the entire band. Thirdly, does anyone know if GHWT will support hyperspeed for only one fret board?

I might pick up a song or two but I'll probably pass on most of next week's offerings. I used to buy a ton of DLC. I'm not sure if it's because it's becoming less interesting, or if it's because the songs often have weenie guitar parts, or if it's just that my library is large enough to the point where I feel like I don't need to be constantly adding to it anymore.

I think the Youtube videos of the tracks more often convince me NOT to buy something I was thinking about buying.

I'm with you mate, The Chilis went way downhill after BSSM, all their best shit was on Mother's Milk and The Uplift Mofo Party Plan.
One Hot Minute never gets the proper respect.

Walkabout would be an awesome song.

Going to opt out of the entire album and just pick up:

Power of Equality
Breaking the Girl
And fucking UNDER THE BRIDGE

Well, I'll be getting The Righteous and the Wicked, Suck My Kiss, My Lovely Man, and Mellowship Slinky in B Major.

Breaking the Girl will be whole heaps of fun to play. That and Under the Bridge. Pass on the whole album. Wasn't Higher Ground on a previous GH? That would be a good RB song. I'm a little burnt out on RHCP, to be honest.

One Hot Minute was shit except for the singles. No Frusciante = not Chili Peppers.

Also, I never want to hear Flea sing another song for as long as I live.

Hillel Slovak says otherwise, Frusciante has to be one of the most overrated guitarists in rock.

My fault, I forgot about him. Hell, if it wasn't for Slovak, Frusciante wouldn't be overrated. He based his playing style off Slovak.

I respectfully disagree.

One Hot Minute is my favorite RHCP album, Dave Navarro is pretty awesome on the record.

I can't stand One Hot Minute myself, and I absolutely love the Chili Peppers. It just feels like it was a half-hearted effort.

Will we ever see some reggae tracks? I can't be the only one wanting to play steel drums.
I really doubt it.
Can't Stand Losing You by the Police and Vital Signs by Rush are close, though.

Okay, someone list off the 5 best songs from BSSM.
5 best songs and 5 best for Rock Band will be two different lists...

Personally, if I were only to get 5, it'd be:
Under the Bridge (for popularity/familiarity)
The Greeting Song (for challenge, most likely)
Breaking the Girl (for vocals, great bass line, but mostly strumming guitar...a nice change of pace)
Mellowship Slinky in B Major (without a doubt, one of the most interesting progressions on the album)
Suck My Kiss (one of the most straight-forward tracks on the album, nice parallel guitar and bass lines)

alternate:
I Could Have Lied (slow, mellow, some awesome melodic solo work, same with the vocal lines)

Sir Psycho Sexy is a cool track, but it's 8 minutes of a very slow repetitive jam. Awesome for musicians, potentially mind-numbing for gamers.
