I need a RUSH hurry up :(

We got any info on RB2 for UK yet I know its around 12th USA but sod all for us dirty PAL lot.

Nothing. Rock Band 1 not being out on PS3 doesn't really bode well. I wish Microsoft had got an exclusive on the whole franchise in Europe, it would make my life much easier.

Christmas at best, next May at worst, some where in between most likely...

There is still a tiny bit of hope the game could be region-free upon it's US release.

Nice. The challenge stuff sounds like it'll keep me busy.

But how do I tell if I 'beat' a challenge? Is it binary? Is there a score associated?

If you check out the "The Who Challenge" in the second tour challenge screenshot, you'll see an "X" letter with a bunch of people icons - this shows the difficulty (in this case, expert) and number of people that you beat the challenge with. If you then check out the details of the challenge, you'll see the scores for each song and the number of stars won for the challenge.

Just get it started early. It's slighty worrying when in the email I referred to the blind hope of it being region free.

I wish we knew who to blame entirely. I know we always go to EA but I dunno...it could just as easily be MTV/Harmonix. There's pros to region locking for them as much as EA. My EA love is building and I'd hate to want them to die unnecessarily.

Instead of hoping for a region free disc you should just move to AMERICA.
That's my plan if my life goes tits up. I have a British accent. I'll be able to do whatever I want in the USA with this voice. Pip pip!

While we are waiting for Rush, all drummers should buy Red Tandy. Now.

See if you can beat my high score on hard drums - 168,775.

Red Tandy is a good song and fun as hell to play, so buy it, dammit.

I beat your score on Expert...does that count?

Whats their email address so I can nag them as well?

I think JonathanEx is sending a message to their PR address, which they are unlikely to respond to IMO.

They are even less likely to respond though if you are not asking on behalf of a website or some form of gaming publication

Just came home, still no Rush...

damn, what´s going on there? You should be sure they tested the shit out of the album before they announce it and now there´s such a massive technical issue.

Just imagine they aren´t able to fix this issue until tomorrow and PS3 owners have to wait for the Thursday after this one :lol

Luckily, I am, and have done stuff with HMX previously. I've got Helen as a friend on Facebook too.

Hell, I'm going to EA's HQ in Redwood whateveritis in September. Sadly nothing to do with Rock Band though.

Well, at least we can anticipate the album announcements. Some Harmonix guy on the RB forums has said that an external website will announce the new albums before the official forum post on Friday. I'm guessing this website is IGN given their history with RB2. I'm also guessing we'll see these announced either today or tomorrow (likely tomorrow since it's the day before PAX).

So let us speculate some more.

FOO FIGHTERS!

edit: ^^^ actually, I wouldn't mind The Slip since it would have to be free.
Why would it have to be free? I know it was free, but they could for 80p each. I wouldn't expect them to give away a full album for free.

albums I would most like to see:

Alice Cooper - Greatest Hits (pre-Welcome To My Nightmare), Raise Your Fist and Yell, and/or Hey Stoopid
Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears
Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son, Powerslave
Journey - Escape
Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Key Pt. 2
Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry
Quiet Riot - Metal Health
Def Leppard - Hysteria
The Cult - Sonic Temple, Love
Pearl Jam - Ten
James - James
Soul Asylum - Grave Dancers' Union, Let Your Dim Light Shine
Yes - Classic Yes (lol), The Yes Album, Fragile
Pink Floyd - The Wall, DSotM, Division Bell
Sponge - Rotting Piñata

Ok, that's enough for now. Release those HMX and we can talk next week about my next set of great music.

I'm pretty sure Dave would burn Harmonix to the ground if they did that.

I don't mind the album. Really. My only objection to NIN is the frequency they pop up in spite of next to no guitar on most tracks. And The Slip at least has some guitar.

The Colour and the Shape and the self titled debut are the best Foo Fighters albums by far

Their new album is their best album. It's fantastic flat out rock music.

Followed by Colour and the Shape, then There is Nothing Left to Lose.

Then self-titled, then In Your Honour, which is very far behind.

I want Pinkerton. They have already released the worst song (for the game) and though Blue is a better album Pinkerton has better solos.

I always find it hard to pick albums, just cos I can always think of a track or two I wouldn't want to play. Even with my beloved Pavement.

And all Foos after TINLTL is shit.

Absolutely.

I'm always amazed at how few people have heard the self titled album considering how great it is.
