I thought the preview was fantastic.

But you're a super fan of the book so obviously you would. I'm talking as someone who has never read the book and is over 20 years old. It looked just plain dumb.

I enjoyed both, and i thought 300 was probably the best yet. The Spirit was rubbish though.

The Spirit had jack fucking squat to do with the source material, so it ends up in the same situation as From Hell where they took the general premise and proceeded to crap all over it.

The issues I have with Watchmen and Sin City is because they're such straight adaptations that they end up inheriting pacing issues that wouldn't exist by reading them and they end up as plodding, leaden affairs. It also didn't help that comic book dialogue rarely lends itself well to the screen, so you end up with...well, every word out of a human being's mouth in Sin City making you want to stuff soda straws into your ears. I still wish they went with Hayter's original script for Watchmen since he at least understood the issue of a straight adaptation but kept it (mostly) faithful to the source regardless.

Duck just ragequit after I destroyed him at Peace Sells.

Why do we bother with band play, PFO is so much better.
Terrible scrolling speed in PFO. Probably the only thing GH5 multiplayer has over RB2 multiplayer.

.

Even with hyperspeed on it's glacial. Not making excuses, just saying.

edit: I still have better scores than you on Rust in Peace. DON'T FORGET THAT

They focused mostly on the fights cause you know violence sells, and they need to get in the kiddies who havent read the book into the theater. Its so much more than what you saw in the trailer. I do think you should try reading them to see if its your boat or not.

Yup, the scroll speed is retarded.

Shag I think I've only played with you like once or twice ever, I don't honestly remember the sessions. :lol

Even though I loved Watchmen and Sin City, I do see several issues with them. Sin City less so than Watchmen. Of course, there is always that inherent issue of adapting anything in print to film. Watchmen would have worked better if it was 3 movies instead of trying to shoehorn in 12 issues of a comic into 2.5 hours.

Is the argument that that the scroll speed is too fast or slow in multiplayer?

I think I remember complaining about it in the past, but I didn't notice anything today with hyperspeed on.

Way too slow in score duel or whatever the PFO mode is, even with hyperspeed on. I don't have much of a problem in co-op play other than the fretboard is too small and transparent. In RB3 online they should have yours normal size and your bandmates' scaled down so you can still see them but so they're not distracting.

Probably because he's a mute too. Cahill and Bebe are really the only people that will talk.

Crag Dweller, Shaggy, vid and GoutPatrol all talk too!

I usually hold my mic on while singing the foreign songs with Xev too just so he hears that I'm singing the words and not just humming. :P

Yes the pacing in watchmen was horrible and it kinda made it boring.

You two are a couple of whiny fucks. I don't have any problems playing in multi.

Either that, or your eyesight is horrible (or you're playing on tinyass screens).

I think the smallest screen I've played multi on is my TV (42" LCD). The largest is whatever we have at work, which is like a 20-25' projector.

cork was complaining, and you said this..

That is also being whiny. lrn2notbeselfish

Requesting an option in RB3 isn't whiny, it shows you care. Just having my screen up during band play while still conveying the only important you need to know (when your peeps are using star power) is a GOOD IDEA.

the fuck are you talking about? :lol :lol :lol
Talking about the majority of metal you listen to (as far as I think of you). It's all very technically sound, and that's fine. But sometimes I just like some aggression and like just pounding guitars and gutteral vocals.

Considering Opeth is by far my most played metal band, I think you could be wrong. Opeth is the exact opposite of that. Hell, The Beatles and Opeth are my most listened to bands and neither are anywhere near "crazy shredding guitars"

hatters gon hat

I'm not sure why anyone would care, but considering the direction the conversation has gone why the hell not...

Here is some analysis of all RB DLC midis available on the Wii except AYNIL. It doesn't list things in game terms or anything like that (so no chord lists...yet), but if you ever asked yourself "what lighting did they use in this song?" or "what time signature is this song charted in?" or something like that maybe you'd care.

I intend to make some kind of overall summary info, so feel free to recommend things like "what songs use a blue gem on guitar easy?" if you want to see them.
