It's not THAT bad, but O'malley gets better as the series progresses. At least try reading the first volume, you may enjoy it despite itself.XShagrath said:I don't think I could ever get into Scott Pilgrim. The art style is completely horrific, and in a comic/graphic novel, that shit matters.
XShagrath said:It looks like a 5th grader trying to draw anime. Art is a big draw on comics/graphic novels, which is why the cover usually looks better than the inner works. I'm with October in that the movie looks like a polished turd (not knowing the source material). I'll probably check it out at some point via Netflix because I dig Edgar Wright, but I really don't care for Cera at all.
While I absolutely agree with you when it comes to art in comics, and such, the draw itself is in the writing. Scott is an incrdibly likable character and with classic video game references and a good story, it's a good read.XShagrath said:It looks like a 5th grader trying to draw anime. The last half of the game is a giant turd. The labyrinth is a god awful design and the boss fights are fucking terrible after the amazing Cronos fight. First half of the game is great though.Natakuu said:We'll see how I feel by the end but so far it just feels the same. He DOES play the same character as George Michael in everything. Well, everything before Youth in Revolt.Motion Picture Soundtrack said:How can you hate Cera after Arrested Development.
Speaking of Arrested Development.. How long before it gets good? I've only watched the first ep off Netflix and it just didn't feel like my thing. For TV, I usually prefer a good drama over anything else.Motion Picture Soundtrack said:How can you hate Cera after Arrested Development.
It's always amazing. If you disagree, you're just wrong. It's the best show I've ever seen.XShagrath said:Speaking of Arrested Development.. How long before it gets good? Rewrite said:Yes, Guitar Hero 2 was a lot of fun to play, but I'd be lying to you if I said I didn't have fun with Rock Band 1's soundtrack. I like playing the songs even if they're easy. I seem to be less forgiving if I'm playing a song I like and don't mind it at all. For instance, Maps is so fucking easy, but I don't mind playing it because I love the song. I can see where you are coming from, though.
I liked GH 3 and was also less forgiving because I enjoyed the soundtrack a lot. Yeah, some songs were impossible for me to play on Expert, but I could always drop to Hard and I'd still be having fun. To be honest, I don't think it's fair to compare GH 3 with Rock Band 1 because for GH 3, the primary focus was guitar (the same for GH 2), while for Rock Band, they had to think about drums/vocals/bass (lol)*.
*I love playing bass.
I just hate it when Harmonix picks songs that aren't fun for ANY instrument like So Watcha Want. I mean, wtf were they thinking?

A young man comes across an old man sitting on a park bench, crying. When he asks him why, the old man replies, "I have a beautiful, 27-year-old wife waiting for me at home." Of course the young man is confused. He asks, "Why are you crying because you have a beautiful, 27-year-old wife waiting for you at home?" The old man looks up and cries out, "I can't remember where I live".

Great, the part I've played through and found mediocre is the good part of the game. Fuck:lolcorkscrewblow said:The last half of the game is a giant turd. Redeem yourself. Trade it for the greatest action game of all time and GOTY 2010.Natakuu said:Great, the part I've played through and found mediocre is the good part of the game. Fuck:lol
I'm only renting God of War III for what it's worth, and if you're referring to Bayonetta I've already been there, done that.Archie said:Redeem yourself. Trade it for the greatest action game of all time and GOTY 2010.
Nooo, I'm not there yet. He did say that up to that point the game was great and I haven't really felt the same so far. I'm still only a few save points past getting dash so I'm not really sure how far I am in relation to the halfway point, I just meant that what I've experienced so far I've found to be kind of stale.NameGenerated said:You thought Cronos was mediocre? Season 3 is the worst season for that show. Fucking terrible.Archie said:Watch Weeds instead, although season 3 of that show is pretty shitty.
Best fight in the whole series IMO.NameGenerated said:You thought Cronos was mediocre? That was mindbogglin'.

Best show on TV that nobody watches. Season 4 is incredible (you're in for a WHOLE lot of different+good stuff) and season 5 just improves on everything from 4. I'm so glad season 6 is confirmed.Belgand said:just about to start Supernatural Season 4 (season 1 is pretty thin, but stick with it and it gets better)
It's not about your posts, you look late 20s in your pic that's all. And I've been wanting to ask, what are you working on right now? if it's not secret project or something that is.McBradders said:I am the age I said I am. Somewhere between 34 and 35...

btw, Duck is awesome confirmed.

Belgand said:I agree that "Pier Pressure" is generally the point where the show kicks in. It takes a few episodes before you really start to appreciate it. Some will say it's because it's so character-driven and relies heavily on callbacks, running gags, and foreshadowing, but I'd say it's also because the first episode, while it has it's moments, isn't really one of the better ones (and the extended pilot just makes it really sappy most of the time). Stick with it, however, and I think you'll be rewarded.
