Voice search is also in Singstar, which is useful especially if you have 100 of songs.TheGreatDave said:Smart way to use Natal:
Record a performance, like Singstar, and let Shaggy show us his vomit.
Voice recognition to search for a song.
Just saying. Some people get pissed when something they bought goes on sale. Personally, I just feel pricing yourself over the 1st party precedent is a dickish move, and I won't support it. Just like if a regular version of a game was more than $60, I'd be hard-pressed to will myself to buy it.McBradders said:Ok?
Thanks for the advance warning?
Should I also be raging at Steam sales or what? I don't understand :/

6 months later, that's fine. When they do it a month later, then that sucks but I wouldn't be raging over $1.XShagrath said:You people who are buying songs at $3 have no right to get pissed when they drop the price in 6 months.

XShagrath said:Everything from EMI is $3 so far, so I doubt this one will be any different. They have three songs so far at that price.
I'm sure they're all big sellers at that price!
TheGreatDave said:Maybe Harmonix shouldn't make $3 songs an option if they're such a bad thing.
I imagine the cost per track for EMI is way higher than it is for Harmonix, so whateves. If I like the song I'll pay $3.
lol wut. Gaga is well worth the $2/song price.Space Cadet said:If it works for EMI, then maybe HMX starts charging $3 for everything. They have even started charging $2 for joke songs when they should be $1: Cartman's "Poker Face," well all of GaGa, TBH. Watch out for the slippery slope!

I didn't realise you were such a socialist. Why do you like in the UK then? :-/TheGreatDave said:I didn't realise you were such a socialist. I, for one, believe in a free economy and a capitalist system that drives innovation.
How do you figure? EMI doesn't even have to pay for the license to the song.TheGreatDave said:I imagine the cost per track for EMI is way higher than it is for Harmonix, so whateves. If I like the song I'll pay $3.
:lol so true. Also how much time is left in a song should be brought to RB.TheGreatDave said:So is recording ugly videos of your performances, right?
There's lots of stuff in Singstar that should be ripped off, shitty singing UI not included.
Harmonix are a well oiled machine for pumping out tracks. I imagine they get tracks out a lot faster and at a lot lower expense than EMI.XShagrath said:How do you figure? EMI doesn't even have to pay for the license to the song.
So you're basically saying EMI is incompetent and should charge more to compensate.TheGreatDave said:Harmonix are a well oiled machine for pumping out tracks. I imagine they get tracks out a lot faster and at a lot lower expense than EMI.
Cos I'm poor. Gotta live off hard working people's taxes.Archie said:Why do you like in the UK then? :-/
Kinda? I'm just saying we don't know their expenses, presumably somebody is being employed by EMI, unlike most the basement dwellers making most tracks for RBN. I say let the market dictate the price.Archie said:So you're basically saying EMI is incompetent and should charge more to compensate.

Just PM'd you a 1 month code. Had it sitting around for a while.. Hopefully it's still valid.Gunstarheroes said:Anyone have a trail code or something floating around i could bum?
I'm sure we agree $3 a track is too high for most people, I'm just saying it's hardly some offensive slap in the face. I'd happily pay $3 for a lot of bands who don't seen to be on Harmonix's Christian right wing radar, for example.Charron said:Hey now, I have my own damn apartment.
And if they can't produce songs at a price the market can bear (and it certainly sounds like the market won't bear $3), they should either hire someone who can or get out of the market. That's capitalism, mofo.
XShagrath said:I know we've had this $2 vs. $3 discussion before, so I'll revoice my reasonings.
$2 can get you a Beatles tune, or a 15ish minute Who track.
$3 can get you a 4 minute song from Smashing Pumpkins (who has other $2 DLC) or some relative unknown.
If HMX released a $3 track, I'm sure it would be warranted. It would probably have to be a 30 minute Dream Theater song.
The Mayday Parade song is one of RBN's better selling tracks, though.Charron said:Hey now, I have my own damn apartment.
