What if I don't like the Beatles or the Who but really want Atomic?

WHAT THEN?!
You get in DJ Hero?

If Harmonix raised the price of all past and future DLC to $3 you'd defend it and still buy it all.
Actually, I think I'd actually stand my ground and take the cock out of my mouth.

The Mayday Parade song is one of RBN's better selling tracks, though.
You have to remember this is the same console where $15 map packs sell over 2 million units in a week. Xbox owners have very little sense of value.

It's #45 lifetime (of about 250), a Billboard hit (maybe why they thought they could do $3), and its sales are apparently dipping at a high rate.

And what Archie said. (I actually just this weekend saw anyone play MW2, it looked so generic.)

I wonder if this is what Gamasutra had in mind when RBN was enough to make Harmonix a dev of 2009, even though they've been making the same game since 2004.

What other devs support their product this hard and for this long? Only ones I can really think of is Valve and Blizzard.

Actually, it is right now.

Something something XNA license something something and the creator's site is completely gimped at the moment.

Nevermind.. Just got fixed.

I think it's working as of now. It's working for me again anyways.

Doesn't stop music games in general being a creatively dead genre. Same shit for half a decade, now at a higher price.

I'm seriously ready for a new game from Harmonix.

Criterion Games are the best this gen when it comes to game support. HMX are doing an amazing job too.

Oh. True that. I never picked up Burnout Paradise, but I'll probably grab it at some point when my backlog thins out a bit. :lol

I can't wait for Portal 2 post support. Playing that game at 1080p and 60 fps is going to be almost as wet as Rock Band 3.

One year of amazing free DLC and another year of amazing reasonably priced DLC. Yeah when it comes to consoles Criterion Games wins.

[Archie] consoles :lol :lol :lol[/Archie]
Valve has had three years of free DLC.

So I went back in to RB2 to try to clear the entire World Tour. I'm essentially down to the Drum, Bass and Guitar Master Challenges, which are almost all the same five songs repeatedly, and the Endless Setlist. That doesn't bother me too much.

What does bother me is Visions. Who the fuck greenlit that awful fucking song into RB2? And who decided it should be one of the songs you have to play over and over again at the end?

Do any of you guys listen to the manchester orchestra? I picked up their newest album and its pretty good. I also got this M83 album my friend has been telling me to get forever, and it is also good.

Holy shit guys Test Drive Unlimited 2 has both Ibiza and Oahu from TDU1. And dynamic weather and a day-night cycle. Yeah boyyyyyyyy
Oh boy a racing game I'm so zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

You must have cheese in your ears to go with that aural wine if you enjoy Visions.

Carved in reflection
The beast in the beauty
Loathing and listning
Or maybe you weren't listening

I just enjoy a wide variety of music. Visions isn't something I'd go out of my way to listen to in my car or whatever, but song isn't bad. Vocals are pretty awesome, in my opinion, and I find it a blast to "sing".

Woo, the fine wine meme returns! And apparently Abnormality is coming to Rochester on May 22nd. As part of a big extreme metal showcase I will most certainly not be giving a shit about.

Visions is absolutely terrible

but still awesome on guitar

Still can't beat it on guitar. I might switch to bass just to unlock the fucker. After a year and a half it is highly doubtful I will ever beat that song on guitar. My friends suck at the game, all medium players, so it's not like I can even get one of them to help me out.

Looking forward to the leak of the final song in RB3.

What other bands are performing?

Thanks a lot, buddy!

I'll help out if you ever want to try it on guitar.
