What better things do you have to do all day? Other than just sit on here? You can listen simultaneously! Multi-tasking!

I've actually purchased music outside the game from artists because I liked their music on RBN (same for bands I didn't know in the regular HMX releases). Love when I come across something and go "Holy shit, this is pretty damn good!"

Still can't pass "Hanger 18." :(

Can't pass "Visions" on Hard Bass or Hard Guitar (practically the same charts).

So happy that the PSN updates are now Tues. instead of Thurs. Now all PSN needs is full RBN access.

I just played Hanger 18 once I saw your post, and I actually beat it. First time since GH2 came out on the 360 that I did it.

Lightwires got at least two sales from being in RBN and they're not even done yet.

Does that mean, "Hang it up"? Like, you're done?

If I could get through the third solo without using star power I could probably beat it. Tha solo fucks me up. I love the first two solos, though. They are fun as HELL.

I'll scrub it up with you. I haven't beat the RB one yet either, but could beat the GH one easy.

You said Hanger 18 when it's actually Hangar 18

There's 9 solos in Hanger 18. If you're getting stuck on the third... oh my

That misspelling was intentional, btw. I'm not dumb enough to misspell that, especially after the whole page discussed the typo

I was just trying to make myself feel better, but whatever. I guess getting a Master's in English doesn't make one a better speller. :D

Yeah, third defined solo area, I think. Anyway, it's a fun but brutal song.

So one of my co-workers says I should go to the International Beard Competition thing in Norway next May and represent USA. I don't know, man. My beard's pretty awesome, but I don't know if it's one of the best in the country.

It's mighty, but more a goatee than a beard.

You're fucked unless you can make that sombitch into the Statue of Liberty or something.

My wife could probably fashion it into something cool. I don't know if it would be as cool as that guy who has a working windmill beard though.

I like No Doubt, so it's awesome we're finally getting the rest of the tracks.

The No Doubt pack shines on drums, but there's a few tracks I like playing on guitar even if they're easy. Just a Girl comes to mind!

No Doubt is really fun on drums. the greatest hits pack surprised me.

I agree with this. I had fun with them on drums and singing SOME of the songs (shakes fist at Bathwater).

Also: My wooden strat arrived. IT IS SWEEEEEET! Lovin' it. :)

http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/28306/Viacom_Results_Reflect_Lower_Rock_Band_Revenues.php
Media giant Viacom, owner of MTV Games and Rock Band, said that its ancillary revenues dropped for the most recent quarter due to lower sales of the music game.

For the quarter ended March 31, Viacom said that worldwide revenues in its "ancillary" segment were $195 million, a decrease of 7 percent year-on-year, while domestically they were down 22 percent.

The decline in sales in the segment was "principally driven by lower Rock Band sales reflecting the mix of Rock Band product offerings," Viacom said.

The company had a tough comparison to the same quarter a year ago, when MTV Games was rolling out Harmonix's Rock Band 2. The company, which released The Beatles: Rock Band in September last year, plans on releasing Rock Band 3 by holiday 2010.
This is why we have Gaga DLC.

Or maybe it is because Gaga is quality DLC.
I really doubt that. As you said before, they need to take advantage of Gaga's popularity now and that will make them some money. Quality has nothing to do with it.

The Internet and cable are out in my neighborhood so I'm posting from my phone or I'd help you out with the suround sound thing Pedro. I have a 2000 dollar receiver, I'm guessing you're looking for something less expensive and all in one package? Like a system in a box? There are pros and cons to that. I'll post a better reply with links when my neighborhood gets out of the dark ages.

Also that's the wrong Orianthi song, should have been Highly Strung with Steve Vai. But I'll take it, it'll probably be fun.

Fuck all you people who can't bring yourself to listen to popular bands. TK-era No Doubt is incredible stuff, and getting the rest of the album is brilliant.

Different People - Pure ska...something really lacking in RB...and as such, there's an incredible bass-line...seriously, for most of this album, I'd think focus more on bass than on the guitar parts if you're looking for fun
End It on This - I'd be really curious to see if this has the vocal harmonies charted..it'll certainly be a work-out for the drummers
Hey You - Will they chart the sitar? Possibly one of the most entertaining guitar tracks in the set...and one of the best examples of Beatles-esq music we've seen, from the instruments, to the melody, to the bass line, to the chord pattern...the drumming is just better (sorry, Ringo!)
The Climb - bass line will be so awesome to play on this, not to mention the beauty of the drum fills...fuck difficulty, this is one of the best mellow-groove songs out there
Tragic Kingdom - I really hope this opens with the Matterhorn announcement...though I'll have to work on my guitar solo triplets...and I can see the ending fucking people over...not sure what they'll turn into a BRE, as there's no stinger (can they get away with the Star Wars quoting?)
World Go ‘Round - another one begging for harmonies...I can't see this one being boring to play on any instrument, but, again, that bass shines
You Can Do It - harmonies, please? Incredible funk groove...strumming on the guitar will be a bitch, and I assume they'll chart the keyboard solo to the guitar, not sure about the trumpet solo, though

This is seriously one of the best DLC weeks we've had in a long time. It's pure gold on bass, drums, and vocals, and so many of the songs are brilliant party material. The only people who can really be disappointed here are those who cling to their guitar tracks and refuse to play anything else or with anyone else. :D

Oh, and the Orianthi songs sounds like the type of song that the Cool Rock Band on a sit-com would play. There's talent there in the guitar and her voice, but she needs a better song-writer. Unless this is just the single and there's more to be found on the album.

The Picture Me Broken track has promise. Are they any good? There's a lot of stuff here that sounds very contrived...almost like it's rock without the energy. Could just be the recording I'm listening to, which is marked as a demo.

Still, I'll pick up both tracks.

I love your posts, AMUSIX. Will you marry me?

I'm wondering how they're going to handle the two different albums thing. The three tracks are technically off Tragic Kingdom. Does that mean that buying the "full album" will put those tracks into Tragic Kingdom and not the Greatest Hits album?

Theoretically, RB could have two versions of Spiderwebs. Didn't take long for HMX to catch up with that other developer!
