Granted I have seen a bunch of mellow bands (hipster shit too, metric, YYYs, !!!, Arcade fire, Modest Mouse.. list goes on) and they are still a lot of fun. But don't hate on a fucking mosh pit because you think it's stupid, they make concerts/shows infinitely better.

I just find the idea of it weird, just a bunch of dudes pushing each other, and maybe getting hurt? Punched in places you don't expect, etc. My knees didn't hurt from that concert and it's like going to see armin van buuren, no mosh pits. Yea, in a simplistic way, you are technically just standing there but if you're just standing there moving your head, you're doing it wrong. I've just been now to a Daft punk concert, armin and mgmt, I was just standing for all of them but they all had different crowds, different environments etc.

I'm pretty sure it isn't, but I don't blame him for not being able to do it live. Who knows how many songs he'd have performed prior to the song.

I can only find one live version on Youtube and it's after he was out of the band so /shrug.
 
I understand the hate for mosh pits. I don't particularly enjoy them. I'd prefer to listen to the music like Shag and not have to deal with the douchebag that's not wearing a shirt (you know the one I'm talking about).

I'm sorry, it's just... a bunch of people crying when they go to something as hardcore and manly like a metal concert or wrestling match, regardless of where they're from, is fucking hilarious to me.

About mosh pits, I'm a punk at heart I guess. I love the pit, I think you guys see the shitty warped tour pits go to a show with like 800 people, shits awesome. A lot of the shows I saw that have great pits were like death by stereo, snapccase, hatebreed, etc.. so they were much smaller and not a sea of people getting knocked over. Its different when you go to big shows because none of those dudes have mosh etiquitte. That really makes the difference imo.

I have to agree, it was somewhat off putting seeing dudes crying on rock in rio. I actually have a good friend from Chile and he confirms all concerts there have tears.

Mike Park played a show at my friends parents house a few years ago for about 15 of us. He was on a living room tour. It was awesome. More bands need to do that.
