the BDP S series is really good. BDP S360 can be had for under 200$

it also uses the PS3 XMB as the dashboard and can update firmware via internet.

Yes, it takes around that time. If you're not going for the "Bladder of Steel" then just play normally and take a brake every hour or so. If you are then maybe someone else got a tip for you cause I haven't tried it myself.
