The best solution, and the one every game should have, is letting me just have one highway/instrument on screen when I play online, and somehow convey to me when other people use OD so I can join in.

Local multi-player, fucked if I know. I don't mind GH5's layout for four people, but I imagine piano will need more room than guitar and drums, and that'll make everything else even smaller.

Because one of those highways seems like it made need a lot more room, unless it's just a 5 note keyboard. In which case, sooo lame

That works, but then the notes are coming down over the background animation, right? Seems like it could be kinda ugly looking and hard to see.
