Yep. Maybe bass too, but not as likely. Certainly not guitar (hoping Metal Meltdown) or drums.

And wow, this makes 3 songs from my old RB3 wishlist to be correct. (And 7 that wound up as DLC/RBN so far.)

I still want to see the other song. It better not be the same damn song as a different mix. Only Cartman can get away with that.

the worst thing is that you are f'n right. I hope someday I man up and have the guts to do that...it is the only real solution =(

Im extremely disappointed at HMX poor presence at E3 this year. I would never thought Nintendo was the one to steal the show.

And, looking at RB3 features I realize the ONLY thing I wanted and it is still not confirmed is voice effects for the vocalists (echoes...etc)

All the DLC going forward should have the Pro mode embeeded even if it gets released for RB2, right?

My theory (based on nothing):

If RB3 dlc doesn't work in RB2, I don't see how RB2 dlc could be future ready for pro mode. Unless they're setting up a "re-download dlc since X date" option...

There's a video where a guy talks about the half-tar having midi-out, but I think it's just for use outside the game, which is still pretty cool.

They left off the most important number: 0 RB3 DLC.
Oh, and the best way to patch in support for legacy (as if...) would be on the RB3 disc. It would spare the tedium of downloading patches for hundreds of songs. New batches of patches could be added in title updates. That might be a legal nightmare, though.

Good points. All the DLC going forward (from RB3) will not be compatible with RB2? So once RB3 hits, RB2 is dead in the water on the DLC front? Or will there be two stores? I think it would be easy to remove the pro charts for RB2 DLC.

I am probably woefully misguided here though.

I just can't wait for the first week or so of RB3 when the expert playing badasses try to transfer over to Pro guitar. I predict many guitar failures :lol
 
Roundabout for the finale? BADASS! I kind of wish we would get "Close to the Edge" or "I've Seen All Good People/Your Move" at some point. But any Yes is a step in the right direction.

I think the one dude with the beard was playing Expert Bass.. His chart was definitely different than the rest.
 
So in the last few days, come back to find Miley Cyrus has 5 songs in Rock Band and the big E3 announcement is the song Yes, and Harmonix have got bored so they've made a dance game and are working on 3DS.

All going great here then.

The guitar is dissassemblable, and the nylon strings can be replaced without replacing the entire guitar, if you somehow rock too hard and break one. Try not to rock too hard.

That was awesome, and made my day/week/month/year/decade/life.

Before watching this video I was really set on buying the half-tar for $150... now I don't know what to do...

I'll probably sell my current cherry red squire on craigslist or ebay in order to take some of the sting off of the $300< price of this thing.

That is what I am asking myself. I have a Gibson Mestro (their cheap electric) and really cant play anything for shit. I am up in the air about the halftar or the realtar. The price of the realtar is going to be the decider for me.

Also, now that we have keyboards, I want Inna Gadda Da Vida in the game. Just for it's sheer length.
 
I think I'm gonna buy some strings and picks this weekend and try to get back into playing the real guitar while I'm waiting for RB3.
