I should have specified. I was talking about Drums.

Work out the bass pattern and just do one of the two snare hits on those paradiddles. From there, do everything you can to maintain the cymbal rolls and you should survive.

Once you get to Long Time it's a breeze. But yea, that was a huge wall for me on drums too.

Correctly, exactly the same guitar - design flaws and all.

You jinxed my f'n guitar, lol. I've always had problems with Les Pauls dropping notes, and the mods have only partially helped, but something new just cropped up about a minute after I read this.
If the neck shifts even the tiniest bit, the controller thinks the Xbox Guide button was pressed. That takes you to the menu and automatically fucks your combo but the ROFLCOPTER part is it's also trying to sign out my gamertag sometimes.

Yeah, the detachable neck design is so stupid. The guitar itself is almost perfect when it's working so I'm trying my best to keep them working. The best thing to do is to re-tin the contacts on the neck and do the loose neck "fix".

Can't say I've ever had that problem. That's a strange one because the signal to pull up the guide shouldn't even be coming from the neck buttons.

It doesn't make any sense to me, either. Maybe I'll call an exorcist... or just throw it out a window.

So I'm skimming the rock band forums, and I came across this post predicting DLC coming the Tuesday after RB2's release. I think it makes sense.

I'm expecting to have a fair number of singles so that there will be three songs available from several artists which currently have only two songs available. Three songs creates an artist specific challenge for Rock Band 2 which seems to be a focus for Harmonix.

For example, we have 3 songs from several new RB2 artists such as Avenged Sevenfold, Devo, Duran Duran, and System of a Down from the RB2 disc songs and DLC which will create an artist specific challenge within RB2.

Some artists with only two songs currently available include:
30 Seconds to Mars
Anarchy Club
Beastie Boys
Bon Jovi
Crooked X
Dream Theater
Faith No More
Fall Out Boy
Freezepop
Garbage
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Nirvana
Paramore
Radiohead
Shinedown
Sonic Youth
Soundgarden
Testament
The All-American Rejects
Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I have left out bands such as Foo Fighters, Megadeth and The Offspring which we know have more songs on the way in the near future.

I think that we might be able to expect a single from a few of these groups to allow for an artist specific challenge to be created within RB2.

I'd expect more from most of those artists anyway.

Especially 30 Seconds to Mars and Fall Out Boy. (Also, more PATD, please)

Edit:
Hannah Montana is playing RB2 on the VMAs tonight. Confirmation of new DLC?
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS, perhaps?

10 million views can't be wrong.

Not sure how serious you are, but I don't share in the 30 Seconds to Mars and Fallout Boy hate. Both bands have produced pretty fun tracks in RB. I'm also not adverse to PATD provided it's their older stuff. Really don't like the new album, it's all very samey compared to the first one.

If Hannah Montana gets into Rock Band before Bon Jovi DLC, or Queen... oh god i dont know what i would do
I'm proud to say that I don't even know what her music sounds like. I have seen some video of her and her dad that screamed "incest", though.

I don't understand why you guys complain. If Hannah Montana or Katie Perry got into Rock Band, those songs would sell like a truck load. You don't understand how many little girls, and 5th grade boys play this game.

This can do 2 overall things for Harmonix. It could open a whole new audience to DLC in Rock Band. I'm sure there are tons of people who haven't downloaded 1 song in Rock Band, but would download this. Once they download Hannah Montana they start browsing the rest of the songs and all of a sudden they are buying a bunch of songs.

But in the end it could also just get more money for Harmonix, which in the end could get them to license better songs. Seriously I want the RB Store to be just like iTunes. I really don't care whats in it I just want TONS and TONS of selections. You don't have to buy every song you know.

Screw Mylie Cyrus. We need some Old GnR :(
They let Axl put that POS in RB2 in return for Appetite For Destruction album DLC and an Epics pack with Estranged, Coma, Civil War and November Rain. Believe.

It takes much, much more work to get songs into Rock Band than it does to get them on iTunes. Time spent authoring kiddie shit is time that could have been spent on something worthwhile.

That would be amazing. DLC of the generation

Karma Police is an awesome song, but I don't think it would be much fun to play (most of OK Computer isn't).

The Bends on the other hand is a perfect choice, imho. I'll cum bricks if the album was ever announced as DLC.

FOR A MINUTE THERE, I LOST MYSEEEEELF

Yeah, that's the only reason I'd love to have it in there, but I agree that it probably wouldn't work very well. On the other hand, Paranoid Android would be a blast on guitar, decent on drums, and not that fun on vocals. It's a nice sounding song, but the vocals really take a backseat to the instruments.

When I'm joking, I'm usually WAY over the top.

Although, just adding "From Yesterday" would make me happy.

Karma police is too Piano driven

fixed.
listen close its there and its proof of genius.
When he doesnt say "phew" its not as good.:D

Electioneering would be really fun to play on every insturment including sing. Funny because it doesnt fit the album and a lot of folks hate it.

Lucky is a fan and band favorite and would be suitable too.

Paranoid Android could be cool, but it would be hard to chart

As far as other albums
Bends= Just
Kid A= Optimistic (cool guitar riffs and the only traditional track)
Amnesiac= I might be wrong
Httt= lots of good stuff here. I say There There would be best, but I'd pray for Where I End and You Begin

In Rainbows= different label. Wont happen.

What are the Les Paul's design flaws? I use it with my friend's 360, and it seems okay. Star power activates a little too easily, but it's not a big problem.

The detachable neck. It's ridiculous how easy it is to destroy these guitars because of it. The pogo pins inside the guitar actually destroy the contacts on the neck. If the new guitar for GH:WT has a detachable neck I sure hope they've redesigned the connection method. I love the Les Paul more than I love any other plastic guitar, but it was a stupid design decision.

There are actually two other problems. One is that the neck eventually gets too loose and the pins lose contact. The second problem is that if you try to make the connection tighter, (by moving the board with the contacts closer to the end of the neck, or with rubber bands) you speed the destruction of the contacts.

The contacts are destroyed on both of my Les Pauls. I found a temporary fix is to get a 2B (or softer) pencil and scribble on each of the contents. This fills the gaps up with graphite and graphite is conductive so it works to a degree. What I really need to do is find someone with a steady enough hand to re-tin the contacts for me and all will be well.

My Les Paul has been missing more and more yellow notes as of late, so I think it might be sinking under. Luckily, I have access to another Xplorer (though I much prefer the Les Paul's strum and general build.)

Finally transferred all the RB1 songs to the hard drive. After consulting with the girlfriend, we decided to leave these behind.

In Bloom
Train Kept Rolling
Tom Sawyer
Black Hole Sun
Flirtin With Disaster
Ballroom Blitz
Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld
I'm So Sick

Fun times!

If we ever get more Anarchy Club I will have to consider stabbing someone. I realize they're a (terrible) employee band, but they're just awful. Not only do they have dull, generic, and thoroughly unpleasant songs, but they even have an absolutely terrible name that's even more generic. How do you even have an organized club devoted to Anarchy anyways? Either the name doesn't make sense or it's trying to be ironic and it fails because that's actually even dumber than if they just think it sounds cool.

I don't know if I've put this strongly enough. I hate Anarchy Club more than I hate Paramore.

Of course, I'm also opposed to Breaking Wheel (meh, generically bad "really fast and grindy, but not actually thrash" metal).

We have some good and even occasionally great employee acts: Honest Bob (excepting that really off song in RB1), The Acro-Brats, Freezepop (of course), and I even personally like Vagiant... we just need someone to tell these people that they suck terribly and just because they made the game is no excuse to force their terrible attempts at music on the rest of the world.

OK, this is weird. I had someone disconnect on me in the middle of a song during band quickplay. We were doing pretty well too so it's not even like we were about to fail out or anything. What in the hell?!?

Holy Shit. Europe gets RB1 this week on PS3.

Uhm. Yay?

I think its been delayed to the end of the month, atleast here in Norway :( I remember a time when the 6 month wait for games used to be much, this shit here is just fucking unbelivable. And why not just release RB2?

No clue, Maybe you'll at least get the upgraded instruments.

But what countries are getting it? It can't be TOO many as they only added a handful of songs for Germany and Spain. (And Japan is still SOL, too)
