Belated drummer impressions:

Dude & Catastrophe makes me want some Roots or Gnarls Barkley. Hip-hop drumming is a welcome change of pace.

Skullcrusher Mountain was fairly simple, just don't panic during the hi-hat rolls.

Shhh is the tough one, plenty of bass work. Mix of punk and metal styles.

I'd say this is more a vocalist's week, but it's worthwhile for drummers.

No kidding, the prices on harddrives is retarded. I have 2 gigs left without having any demo's or anything and not looking forward to upgrading.

think about how much money you've spent on rock band total now

I could have bought a PS3! At launch!

I got the 120gb drive for £55 on eBay. Off a guy from Hong Kong, obviously. Hey, if it works that's good enough for me.

Eh, I wouldn't be too confident in it working, myself. But I'm skeptical. (And my only eBay Hong Kong purchase was an iPod Mini case; not much reliability concern there.)

I've heard of a few people buying them from there without trouble. The guy has plenty of good feedback. Doesn't come with the transfer kit though, so I'll have to beg somebody when it arrives here to lend me it.

Im surprised there hasn't been a pack yet. It would be a great singing/band pack.

I think I started drum lessons about 2.5 months ago or something. I learned how to successfully drum at full speed Wolfmother's Woman and Greenday's American Idiot. I would very much like those 2 in this game. They are very fun to play, especially woman. I'll chart them out if thats what it takes for Harmonix to put them in the game.

Is this another OT thing? Costanza doesn't post in here. I remember there being cotton candy mentioned in OT recently.

Few pages back we were talking about Hayley and cotton candy bush was thrown around.

I bought a used 120 hd too recently. Here's the thing: the transfer kit requires cd software. Also, it's one time only. Looks like they'll send you one though. Check this out

I'm pretty sure the kit isn't a one time only thing. The smaller hdd used in the transfer can only be migrated once but the kit itself can be used multiple times (I could be wrong but pretty sure I'm not)

Actually I think you are right since it erases your harddrive that is migrated from. That's probably what they mean.

Wired controller btw, if that makes a difference for people.

It did actually. I was almost through the checkout on there before I thought to hit back and look at that. Pass :(

I'd maybe buy American Idiot. At least you've got Jesus of Suburbia which has an interesting structure. Most of their stuff I don't imagine would be all that thrilling to play.

Not so great news for all you waiting for Nevermind:

http://www.co-optimus.com/article/444/Nevermind_Never_Officially_Confirmed_for_Rock_Band_DLC.html

If you are like me, one of the things you were most excited about was when Harmonix announced Nevermind from Nirvana as a full downloadable album on Rock Band. There's just one problem, Harmonix never said such a thing.

In a day and age where news is reported in split second blog posts, a lot of times things get taken out of context. Rock Band 2 was on display at a certain social gathering tonight, and Harmonix Community Manager Sean Baptiste was there. According to Baptiste, they never specifically announced Nevermind would be available, it was simply given as an example of classic albums that could appear on the service. According to him a press release or any other official material was never put out. But fret not, he said just because it was never officially confirmed doesn't mean it can't happen.
