wow you're hilarious.

these songs aren't as good as their older stuff (and by that I mean this darkened heart), however it's still going to be fun to play, and some of us (albeit few) like screaming our heads off and playing blistering solos. Oh, and having something to actually rock the fuck out to. I'll take what I can get.

Instead of some of you who get the fucking artists you want then bitch about not getting the exact song you want. seriously, fuck you.

for me it's more just about having stuff people know. i can't seriously complain about a song as long as when I get 5-10 people together of all different stripes at least 3-4 of them will know it. otherwise it kind of kills the "band" thing though obviously hey super for fans of this stuff.

Which would be fine if I liked metal and we had not just had a metal pack a couple of weeks ago. I really do hope the people that like metal enjoy it, it's just not my cup of tea.

Let's take a look at the DLC from the last month:

Easily the worst fucking month of releases since the game came out.

I bought them all :(

Yeah August was not kind to me DLC-wise, except for Cruefest Pack 2, Girls on Film, Rio, and PAX Pack...everything else stunk. It was either bad to listen to and play (Metal pack) or just bad to play (System, Devo)

I never said I "#@%"ed the cotton candy :p

Yeah. Get your facts straight. He slowly licked and ate it while jerking off and then finished with a shot directly into what remained of the uneaten moist, soggy cotton candy mass causing it to dissolve into a disgusting mass of pinkish goo. Which probably means it ended up looking a lot like Hayley. :lol

I really only cared about the SOAD stuff.

fuck

By the way, arent we supposed to get 20 free songs the week after this? My guess is we wont get payed DLC that week either.

Wow some of you get really internet-angry over metal. Get over it.

I really do hope the people that like metal enjoy it, it's just not my cup of tea.
Then you should probably say that instead of "fixing" someone's quotes to say they have no taste. I wouldn't say you have no taste for liking the Killers even though I despise them.

Those songs will only work in RB2, though. I'm sure we'll at least get another pack for the people who haven't made the switch yet.

Eh, the Airbourne, Dream Theater, and Megadeth songs were decent. Toxicity is good, and the Locksley pack is good
to listen to at least, Don't Make Me Wait is a chore to play on guitar and drums
. Otherwise, yeah, everything else has been pretty weak.

I bought them all :(
Why?

?

Well, you made previous mention as to her cotton candy pubes and if you didn't fuck it then, well... this seems like the most likely scenario for someone fantasizing that the cotton candy is a lady's pubic hair/mound/genital region.

Or are you just upset that it's far better than what you actually did with it? :D

I bet he just ate it normally to be honest. That is, if there even was any cotton candy.

I don't know, it's become a habit to buy every song :(
You've spent $27 on music you don't even like ($31 total minus SoaD songs). Save that shit up for music you do like. Seriously.

edit: what don't you guys like about Locksley?

Well to be fair, all my points were either free or on sale for the last few months.

One song would have sufficed since it all sounds the same anyway.

ignorance is bliss.

however I will agree that there was a little much compared to normal, but of course I won't complain. Any month with Dream Theater, Megadeth, ATR, Rush (umm..soon), etc. is a winner in my book. there were a few stinkers but overall a solid month.

I do however, like the character of Costanza
edit:

and that avatar picture gets me every damn time. <3

uh, you pretty much guessed right except for the slowly licking part...

And thus ends the speculation. Belgand has won the Internet. Which is to say, he was able to correctly divine what other Internet sex-perverts did in response to a fetish object. His prize? The shame at being able to do so and the mind-torture of knowing the foul truth.

I've only bought three songs in the past month (Toxicity, Rio, Girls on Film), which sucks but at least it makes me feel better about spending money on Braid, Geometry Wars, and Castle Crashers.

goddammit wheres my fall out boy :(

Hopefully in Rock Revolution.

It was intended as a joke, but since I didn't put :lol it wasn't taken as such. I guess that's my fault for thinking it was funny since there is so much shitting on everyone else's tastes in this thread. At least there should be something for everyone in next week's announcement since the 20 songs for RB2 would be coming out the week after.

Once again you are wrong. That is because you have not given proper consideration when dealing with

Falco Friday.

This was so much easier when it was just Hayley Fridays.
I need a full paragraph on how Hayley and Falco significantly differ. Aside from perhaps - and this point is arguable - gender.

Whoa, haven't played Rock Band for a week and have kind of been absent from the thread. Popped in the disc today and get an update? What's the deal?

Easier gold stars, some bug fixing, and the RB1 song export feature for RB2.

Falco Friday.

They really should make this a downloadable track. That would rock (me, Amadeus).

Where is Moving Pictures?

This ad nauseam.

Does Harmonix pretend to make us forget that they announced Moving Pictures? Nobody knows exactly what's the deal with the delay... first it was technical difficulties, then it was corporate stuff.

Please guys, let us have it! Do you want me to buy the pack twice? I'll do it* but release the album!

*That's a stretch. I will gladly buy the whole album once.

I like metal usually, but this stuff doesn't appeal to me. Still, it's good to see RB really satisfying the metal crowd lately. The game had been pretty deprived of it for a long time.

Does EA check your drum pads when you return them to see if they're really damaged?

Mine have a tough time registering drum rolls and I have calibrated my system, so I'm returning them before they wont do it for free, I'm just worried they'll charge me some shipping if they think they're ok and it's just my tv/sound system.

---they're launch drums I had to get a pedal off of ebay and buy new sticks

Have you tried sock modding them or something similar?

I've had a QM set since launch that have always worked well enough for me but would consistently miss notes on fast drum rolls. Via Javaman's suggestion I stuck some pieces of paper in the red and green drum heads to take up some slack on the pads and now I can hit rolls much more regularly than I could before.

Hooray more 99c DLC.
/sarcasm

Honestly I can't complain, I was probably the only one on this board beyond excited when they released the two Shinedown tracks.

Not to mention, I can't expect awesome DLC two weeks before RB2 comes out. This is why the Rush album was such a fucking megaton.

So uh, I bought the PAX pack on PS3 and when I go to play them I get no sound samples when I scroll over the song in the song selection and then when I pick them they never load. This happens for all 3 songs.

Is this happening to other people? Or did my pack somehow get corrupted and how can I fix this?

Wow. Slow lazy 3-packs. They're really making it easy to ignore RB while they ramp up RB2.

Amazing how we consider a 3-pack each week lazy now. But they're definitely toned down.

I'm a sucker for all 99 cents songs, so I'll get them eventually, just not soon.

It happened to me on Vesuvius, then MONTHS later I was able to re-download the preview and it was fixed.

Nah I havnt tried that but I figured since they're replacing them for free until the end of the month I'd send them in. I'll try that afterwards if it stays the same, I'm broke so I cant get RB2 on the 14th anyway. thnx though
