So uh, I bought the PAX pack on PS3 and when I go to play them I get no sound samples when I scroll over the song in the song selection and then when I pick them they never load. This happens for all 3 songs.

Is this happening to other people? Or did my pack somehow get corrupted and how can I fix this?
It's happening to everyone else who bought the pax pack on ps3.

Good to know Harmonix just took $3 from their PS3 fanbase and gave them nothing.

:\

Oh jeeze. Like they have no intention of ever fixing it.

Not to mention that $3 isn't going to HMX anyway.

On the subject of the PAX pack it occured to me that the pricing is terrible. If I buy each song individually for $0.99 rather than $2.99 for the pack I'll end up saving two cents. This gives me no incentive to pay a little bit more than I normally would for the pack under the premise that I'll be paying less per song and might enjoy something that I wouldn't have otherwise bought. This being largely accepted as the entire reason for people offering discounts on packs in just about every retail situation ever.

If they instead had the pack go for $2.75 or even $2.50 it would probably make more sense and lead to more sales. Especially at $2.50 where you'd be getting one of the tracks for half off. Since many of these are subsidized or otherwise promotional it would seem that increasing the number of downloads is the goal more than just making money off of it and this pricing would likely increase those downloads and get more of the songs in more people's hands... or rather, ears.

I always buy the "$2.99" packs individually. Fuck giving them extra money.

But it's the same amount of points either way. 80+80+80=240. And it's for charity. Are people really making a deal out of this or is my sarcasm meter broken today?

I guess since on psn they use $ they save a couple of cents here and there if they buy them individually.

Same amount of points (if you're on Xbox) but not the same amount of cents (if you're on PS3). It doesn't matter for us, it does matter for them.

I guess I wouldn't care, but that's just my two cents.

badum ching

I may be mistaken but songs on Xbox are simply 1 cent more than PS3. 80 pts is 1 dollar while songs on PS3 are 99 cents? Hence the 2.99 packs?

Are 400 points $5 even or are they $4.99? 1600 point cards are $19.99, which complicates things (in the sense of penny splitting).

However, I've never paid full price for my points. Through various sales and such I've gotten them at ~25% off, which makes my songs quite cheaper.

The problem with packs is once you've bought them, you can't delete the songs you don't like. Say, that...pack last week, the band beginning with L. Two of their songs are loads of fun to play on guitar, but there's one that I will be happily never seeing again, some jaggedy little fuck with a bunch of quick double strums for the whole song. But I can't delete it!

1600 is 19.99 actually. Unless you use Target coupons. 4,000 is 49.99 I did buy a 2,000 pt card too 25 bucks

I dont understand deleting songs. The only song ive probably deleted is the Versuvius song cause it was free. The rest ive payed for ill keep. Even stuff like DOA or Critical Acclaim.

anyone have any idea if the individual instruments will be coming out before the bundle? I don't really like the idea of waiting an extra month ;(

You're right, I meant $19.99. I got a bunch of them from Target for $14.99 the other week.

A problem which will likely be remedied with RB2 and selective song choosing.

I think the day the 360 game is out, so are all the instruments, individually.

CLEARLY, they realise this is the most cost effective way to take advantage of hardcore fans.

PAX?

More like POX!

I don't care how awesome Rio is, I want more music worth buying damn it!

EA / Harmonix really need to just adopt a formula where they release songs from the relevant Rockband decades each week. Say 60's / 70's / 80's / 90's / Present.

There's a lot of music I want to see in this game, but at this rate it's just painful, followed by turds, and then more pain.

Can't delete songs on the PS3 period. Well, that is, unless you delete the entire game data folder and then re-download everything.

The best part is that if you accidentally lose touch with your DLC like, for example, accidentally delete the account all your DLC is connected to, it won't go away. Oh no, that would be too obvious and simple. Instead it'll show up in the list and start to load before saying it can't be found and quitting out to the menu. This is even worse when you're in Band World Tour and it picks these inaccessible songs as part of random setlists.

The ratio of DLC that isn't from the 60s compared to DLC that is from the 60s is dreadful.

The PS3 is strange. You should sell it and play on 360 with me.

They have saved up some pretty decent ones for rb2. I imagine that we're going to get some more good songs after its release, because they focused on getting these in preparation.

Caved in... bought an Arcade unit and got 1400 MS points for free.

I'll be on later tonight if anybody's up for some late night jamming. :D

I think these days you've been little more than an ad as for the many reasons not to get a 360 what with the constant repairs and the need for a new hard drive.

Frankly, you should consider coming over to the PS3.

All I play are XBLA games, Rock Band and GH. And none of those things will transfer over.

My 360 seems to be working at the minute though, so that's a good thing.

The PS3 was designed by 'tards. It won't even automatically send an SD signal if all you have connected to it is a composite cable.

Once again you are wrong. That is because you have not given proper consideration when dealing with

Falco Friday.

Oh yes puuuhleeeassee. The things I would do for a Falco pack :lol

We don't need 9 fucking metal songs in a month. One song would have sufficed since it all sounds the same anyway.
You sound the same all the time too!

This has been the best month of DLC since launch!

METAL DEFENSE FORCE UNITE!

I wish they had released more than three songs this week. I'm ready for them to step it up again.

I like the way you think. More metal the better.

I really want to see Children of Bodom in any music game somewhere damn it.

Yes Sir /salutes.

There really are some cool people in here.. The metal brings us out!

Now we just need to overpower all the lame-o indie and britrockers.

so uh, let's shut up about metal for a few minutes.

what would you guys say is the best overall week in RB1's 10 months of life? I'm going with June 24th because we got a Pixies album and Weezer Pack 1 on the same day. Too awesome.

Yeah, but both were a bit of a disappointment.

I like Doolittle, but in the game...ehh.

I'm gonna go with Who week. Even if it was the only pack, it was the best week in Rock Band history.
eh, any song I like is usually fun to play in music games.
