The fact that there is no Pantera in Rockband or Guitar Hero infuriates me....and a shitty cover of Cowboys from Hell in Guitar Hero 1 doesn't count.

Right now a PAL PS3 Rock Band owner has it better than a 360 owner, it cost less for the full bundle than the 360 version did and they will be able to play RB2 in one months time.
 
i have to say, the shit going on back in the country of my nationality does make me feel a bit guilty for being all 'wah i can't play Rock Band this week'. but only a bit.

i'm the crack addict without crack. you're the guys waiting to try the crack the first time. the shit i'm going through is much harder.

The Hollies "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" would be rather nice as well. I'd totally download the hell out of it right now. I'd also like to get the Specials and some other solid 2-Tone and second-wave ska in the game unlike some of these terrible third-wave pop-ska groups that we'll probably get (Bosstones for the Fail).

Oh and Guitar Hero: Sid Vicious has been announced as well. You can't fail out because your bandmates have switched off your amp (actually, wouldn't No Fail mode sound a lot better as Sid Vicious mode?). Fall over a few times and then go get drunk and pass out in the street before you manage to score. You do, however, get twice as much star power until you reach Tier 3 where you get kicked out of the band and the game more or less ends. There are bonus songs, but nobody gives a shit about them anyways.

The cool thing about this is that every band has a battle history, so by playing this battle you're essentially getting a badge of honor in your "Battle History" list to show that you were there not just on Day 1, but at the midnight launch.

* If you need your beauty sleep, you'll also have the "Launch Day Battle" and the "Rock Band 2 Week Battle" that you can compete in during the day or week, respectively.

Got back from the US last sunday. Brought back Rock Band with the Drum Pad Silencers and ZOMG THIS GAME IS AWESOME! Paid a full 120 euro for it, so needless to say I was not very dissapointed with the announcement of the Eurelease for 140 euro for the instrumentpack.
The game has been on every single day and even my girlfriend thinks it's awesome. We've created 3 bands, in one I drum, she sings, the other one has me drumming and her on guitar and in the third one I'm on guitar and she's the leadsinger. I've tried singing, but I got bood off stage at the first song.

I'm psyched about this game. It's everything I hoped it was and more.

Because allowing people to create the exact match up they want at any time with any conditions and 7 other people is just so laaaaame!

This isn't either/or. There's no excuse not to have 4 vs 4, this isn't a replacement in any way.

Besides that, I do like the sound of Battle of the Bands a lot. It's just so tainted with this silly attitude. I hope 4 vs. 4 ends up being in the game, as a super secret surprise.

Wasnt Rock Band supposed to get "The Day That Never Comes?" Or was it Rock Band 2? Anyway does anyone have any info on that? The song is really growing on me, I highly disliked it at first listen, I really enjoy it now and want to play it.

It was supposed to. Then Guitar Hero 3/World Tour got the whole album. Not sure if it's still happening for RB.

It's not really a recent thing, but it is unwelcome.
I remember my disgust when a friend showed up with the (then-new) Harmony Corruption album by Napalm Death in the very early-'90s.
"OK, new rule... No bands with dinosaurs as front men get played in my house."

You wanna hear a secret though? While going through my Rock Band 2 playlist, I've grown to kinda like that song. Don't tell anybody.
