Anyone got a screenshot of this one? I require documentary evidence before I hunt them down and kill them.

Just this once you have my blessing, support and, if need be, help.

It's like finally crawling out of a pit of shit, with the promise of a lovely hot shower once you're out, only to find that the shower is in fact someone pissing on you.

Loooovely.

PS3 owners, the day is ours, the Rock Band patch for Les Paul awesomeness is upon us! It's live, I downloaded it, played a couple of songs half-asleep, and now have to figure out what to do with my Strat. Either it goes in the closet, brought out only for specific occasions, or I'll set fire to it. Either way is good.

Not yet, I keep checking daily to see. I hope it's not just Aerosmith that gets patched.

I want to do the song export, but there's almost no point since we don't get RB2 until October. :(

I much prefer the controller Stratocaster. It seems more natural to me (you can actually slide your fingers). But it's all tastes I guess.

On my wife's GH (X360) guitar the red button has started being flaky... sometimes registers button presses, sometimes doesn't.... is there anything that can be done, or is it a lost cause and we should just buy another guitar on Sunday when we pick up Rock Band 2?

That may be because of how she holds it. I know when I hold the Gibson at weird angles and play the red and blue buttons get flaky.

I haven't really investigated any of the 3rd party x360 guitars out there... are there any good recommendations?

Time to get rockband, i thought this day would never come.

Since everyone now has their choice of guitar. My experience has been both guitars have major Star Power problems. The Les Pauls are way to sensitive and the Strats are the total opposite. I just sent a Strat back because star power just wouldn't go on, the replacement wasn't much better. I've got two Les Pauls and two Strats(which have actually been 5 different strats over the course of the year) What happened? My PS2 SGs still work perfectly. Did they change the mechanism?

Just a heads up for Canadians (Ontarians specifically)...

I was just at Rogers renting NHL 09 and saw that they're clearing out all of their RB hardware, assuming to make room for RB2/GH:WT.

Just grabbed a set of 360 drums I sorely needed for $40. YMMV of course.

-_-

Patched RB1 today on my PS3.

The song skipping is still there when you load.

I find that I have to turn my Les Paul on with it already in my playing position. Otherwise the SP can be activated unusually.

That was happening with me and the Generi-caster on Tuesday, too.

Since they patched Les Paul support, I've been mulling over whether to get the Les Paul or TAC Bass. I know you've used the bass M3w, so what's the best choice?

It's a gamble with the Bass. It's nice having the solo buttons and effects switch and the design, but the pick can be a bit flimsy. I'd say try the Bass.

Anyone know where the jukebox mode is? I can't find it...maybe you have to unlock it?

Also the song unlocking makes no sense. I just played Alex Chilton in a Challenge but it is not unlocked for quickplay :P (maybe it is because I wasn't signed into the right profile on my guitar - I usually play on PS3 so I hate the clunky 360 profile system)

I gotta say I played RB2 for quite a while yesterday and to the night with friends... I'm a bit disappointed in it. My main reason for disappointment is that I just feel like I am playing DLC on disc. It is not a new game what so ever. There are some fun songs and note tracking has improved a lil bit but it's still RB. Not to say I will never play it again but I wanted a bit more out of it.

Is it better in regards to jumping in and out? I hate in RB1 how if you lose a band member you have to quit back to that cumbersome character select screen.

What did you expect really?

i noticed that some of you guys already have rb2. any chance you guys are from the NYC area and can direct me to the place where i might be able to pick it up? cannot wait till sunday.

thanks a billion.

yeah it sucks pressing the red button three or four times rapidly.

Yea, it sucks because you have to get a room of rowdy RB noobs to stop pressing the buttons. You should jump in or out at the difficulty screen. Your sarcasm is unwarranted, considering that's one of the things they were going to fix.

So where's this Colbert Song? Is it US only or something?

In RB itself, search for the title (Charlene), it wasn't in the "new songs" for me.

That's why I'd like HMX to put all the RB2 songs on the DLC.

I've bought RB with the promise it would be a platform : only 1 disc released and then "do your own game" with the DLC. I'm not sure to buy RB2 when it will be released here, it's too much metal/hardrock oriented for my tastes.

Didn't you used to have a tag that said "Works for Activision"?

Or am I confusing you with someone else?

Same for me, just the other way around :lol Bringing the LP out just for when I have two other people over for full band action.

Everything in GH3 has already destroyed Rock Band. I really could give a shit about drums and a mic. Full album DLC? Once they annouce the pricing structure you will moan and grown just like you did for GH3 pricing. Real venues? lol that is funny really. So they have real venues and you are stoked about it but somehow the shitty low polly models are ok because it's not the graphics its the gameplay.

It's already confirmed that GH3's gameplay is absolutely amazing. The wireless guitar is amazing and the game is graphically amazing.

http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewt...er=asc&start=0

In this thread it has already been stated that the setlist that currently owns rock bands setlist is just the tip of the ice burg and the most critical of players are beyond stoked for GH3 that they say it is better than 1 and 2 combind.

And yes also claims to have once worked for Activision. But that post is much funnier than that fact.
