Well, you get the aforementioned ultimate outfits, some cash, a few achievements. That's about it.AstroLad said:what is the point of challenges anyway? just seems like a bunch of random setlists.
Costanza said:well..
i moved a few weeks ago. don't know anyone
i'm fuckin bored and don't know where to fucking meet people since I'm not starting school till January. (there was one girl this week but that didnt really go anywhere..)
i can't find a job. i applied for 15 retail positions (no experience, either) and only got an interview at SEARS. which I don't think went well.
etc etc etc. my life is pretty awful right now
TheGreatDave said:<ot>Wow, Misirlou is still really hard in GH:2. I just got 4 stars, which is an improvement from the 3 I had when I last played it.</ot>
Johnkers said:haha I went back to GH2 semi-recently. Played Carry Me Home and like, doubled my old score on what I thought was still a terrible run. With that confidence I went to try and finally beat Six and Jordan. I cannot.
Although at least now I believe I have a chance at beating Jordan if I really bothered to try it over and over.
Johnkers said:I find Six like fiftybillionkajillion times harder then Jordan. Jordan at least when I'm playing I can sort of flail around and get the notes sort of right, relying on star power to keep me alive. Six is just, too fast for me. Even in practice mode slowed down I have trouble though.
I'd say it's the hardest song on guitar in any game I've played for me.
TheGreatDave said:If summer 2007 me could beat Six then I don't know what to tell ya. Other than "you suck" and "you're really rubbish"![]()
Johnkers said:I'd just like to be above you tbh. Just once! If GH3 scores weren't such a pain in the arse to browse I'd check to see if I had you beat in anything there.
Geo Wars 2 style boards in every game should be as required as achievements/trophys
XShagrath said:Hell yeah! That's totally what it was, and it was hilarious!
Once you hit a million fans, they don't really matter anymore, and you get so many every song anyways.
AstroLad said:i've said it before and i'll say it again: yes
it's one of those "innovations" that when you experience it you think holy crap how has every game not done this but you know within a year or so every game will
TheGreatDave said:Thirded. GHWT lets you check the leaderboards as soon as you finish a song, which is a step in the right direction.
People hate that song? It's pretty damn awesome. I hate that winter song, but I"ve only played it on guitar so far. Visions is still the best bonus song.NameGenerated said:Screw the Rob the Prez-o-dent haters. Played that song earlier tonight and loved it. It's so unique and fun to play.![]()
AstroLad said:ahh heh ok. i was hoping they'd be a bit more differentiated from the bwt but hey
dreammastah said:I just finished the Endless Setlist 2 on hard drums. I've been playing RB2 on Expert, but I dropped it down to hard since I can't beat every song on expert. Started at 9PM and ended at 3:15AM. Five starred everything except Visions, Colony of Birchmen and Panic Attack (which I have fived before, but was tired as hell near the end).
I got the bladder of steel achievement and my amount of stars was quite appropriate.

I need a new guitar badly since my Les Paul is pretty much shit right now with the green button being responsive 50% of the time. Stupid detachable bullshit. -_-
Really? Best Buy had more than 10 of them yesterday morning.Magik said:Dammit, the new Strat is sold out everywhere.
BenjaminBirdie said:Are they that much the same? Challenges were one of the things I was looking most forward to. Are they not at all interestingly set up? I keep trying to find a list of them online but no dice.
TheGreatDave said:Have you tried using good old fashioned paper down the neck?
Costanza said:Really? Best Buy had more than 10 of them yesterday morning.
AstroLad said:I just did a few of the early ones, so I'm sure they get better later. There are so many different modes though.
BenjaminBirdie said:Tell me more! Plaese! I'm watching every hi res video I can find waiting for my three six to come back home.

John Locke said:Here are some challenges to give you an idea of what they look like:
70's Hits::
Psycho Killer
Uncontrollable Urge
Let There Be Rock
Ramblin' Man
Rock Band Nightmare Challenge
Next To You
Cherub Rock
Tom Sawyer
Green Grass & High Tides
Challenging Basslines
Where'd You Go?
Any Way You Want It
Lump
Livin' on a Prayer
Metallica Challenge
...And Justice for All
Ride the Lightning
Blackened
Battery
There are a few types of challenges. One is an artist-specific one, where it pops up if you have 3 or more songs from the same artist. There are also the genre-specific ones, where it has 4-5 punk songs or pop-rock songs or whatever. I don't have any full albums but I did get the Boston pack so I have a "Boston" album challenge which has all the Boston songs. If you exported the Rock Band 1 tracks you have individual challenges for each tier. There are also "Infinite [whatever]" challenges that have a ton of songs from whatever category; for example the "Infinite 80s" challenge has 30 songs, all from the 80s. If you just want to go through the songs in a linear fashion there are "[Difficulty Level] Marathon" challenges where you just play through the songs as you would in RB1 or Guitar Hero. There are also vocal/drum/full band challenges but I haven't done any of those yet.
What's so hard about Chop Suey? You just need to strum fast, hold down the main fret, and tap the alternating fret. I beat it on my first try on expert and I'm not that good a RB player.Magik said:My Best Buy has nothing.
PS. Chop Suey can die in a fire
Duck said:"IM DA BEST MAYNE"
holy shit, is that actually in the game? Do you get that for 1337 stars or for beating the endless setlist? :lol
thanks for making me feel silly!Charron said:That's his band name :lol
heh. same here. Interestingly enough, I'm not looking for videos of gameplay and the charts, but rather the game modes and the menus...BenjaminBirdie said:Tell me more! Plaese! I'm watching every hi res video I can find waiting for my three six to come back home.
