I probably do it completely wrong, but I let my pinky do all the work on blue / orange (unless its a blue / orange hold obviously).

You should try leaving your pinky on orange and shifting your index finger instead. You'll probably notice an improvement once you get used to it.

I just borrowed my cousins equipment and rented this on 360, played prolly around 20 or so songs on drums, the best one so far? paramore^^

I do play on drums and besides the drum rolls the song is ok. I enjoy the song though so I play it when I can. Misery Buisness does seem like a better fit though.

People, buy Red Barchetta. You'll thank us later.

Seriously. I know they'd fuck up the riff in Spirit of Radio so Red Barchetta is the best Rush song the game can have.

Also Limelight is fantastic and Witch Hunt and Vital Signs. Anything on Moving pictures that isn't Tom Sawyer rules.

Just watched the Colbert Report and he had a fireside chat talking about Charlene now being in Rock Band 2. Pretty surreal, honestly.

So the leaderboards only show the top 100,000 players? I haven't had the chance to play the past few days and now it says I'm "Unranked!" on the main career leaderboards. Noticed several of my friends list who had rankings before are not showing up either.

That's pretty lame, they don't even show where you stand if you're not in the top 100k...

Moving Pictures is up in the Marketplace but still doesn't appear to be available from the Music Store Menu on the game.

207.98 MB of pure progressive bliss!

Quick expert drums impressions:

YYZ
Prepare to break your bass pedals. The song -just as expected- is really, really fun to play.

The original version of Tom Sawyer

Almost completely recharted. They added some difficulty to it and it seems it has a faster scroll speed(?). The added hits and the recharting of sections makes the song even more enjoyable. The ending of the song is now different -Rush fans: they basically replicated the ending of Tom Sawyer in Rush in Rio-.

edit: Belgand: you're insane if you're trying to suggest that you can't find proper british foods in San Francisco, and you're batshit crazy to suggest that good cheese can't be easily found. Of all the cities in the US, San Francisco is one of the most epicurially diverse and cultured. An elitist attitude to have, but one well deserved.

You've mistaken me. I meant I couldn't find either within one block of my house. I live on the wasteland that is the extreme southwest of the city so there's not really much nearby within walking distance. Aside from the most absolute basics almost everything requires a bus/train/bike/car trip. There is a grocery store near me, what used to be an Albertson's actually so it's a pretty large, typical American grocery store. Except that Albertson's pulled out before I moved in and a year later it was reopened as an Asian grocery. Due to this they don't really carry cheese aside from a few unpleasant bags of pre-shredded Kraft and the like and that's tucked over into a corner.

That said while we are pretty epicurially diverse there are still plenty of things that we get to bitch about all the time: lack of decent Jewish deli food, not much in the way of quality subs, the pain in trying to find a decent Italian place that isn't a tourist trap, quite a challenge finding good thin crust NY-style pizza, same goes for bagels, not much in the way of Greek food (at least, I'm not finding much of it... perhaps I need to look harder), and, personally, as a Kansas City native I have been unable to find proper barbecue with the most lauded place in town (Memphis Minnie's) having I can only really consider to be "adequate" at best and with the worst excuse for sauce I can imagine (needless to say it's run by one of those "sauce is the devil!" types who it seems just doesn't understand KC style where it's always served wet).

British food and cheese (is it pricey? is it trendy? is it seen as elegant? can it be boutique, organic, local, free-range, and just about everything else to jack it up to the stratosphere? of course we're awash in it) are, of course, amazingly common and I've been lucky enough to find an actual old-school family-owned butcher shop that actually charges the sorts of prices you'd expect to pay (unlike almost everywhere else where they seem to think they get to rape you and sell an aforementioned boutique service... especially now that most grocery stores don't even have a meat counter, let alone a full-service one or meat worth eating) and is located fairly nearby.

So, yeah, I know I can find it, I was just bitching that it's not nearby or at the TJ's/Safeway compound where I tend to do most of my shopping during the week (doubly so now that my car hasn't been trustworthy for the past few weeks) and that, well, I wanted a bacon sandwich right NOW. :D

Belgy, baby, if you need the hook up with British nosh, send me a list and we can work something out.

I'll send you all you can eat and all I ask for in return is your undying loyalty to the Girlfriend Defense Force, of course you will receive your own custom avatar as well as foodstuffs.

Indeed. I'm certainly on to your schemes and I will never, ever leave the ivory tower of the AlternaIndieDrome and fall sway to your terrible legions in exchange for a few jars of Branston Pickle. Take your heavily-boiled comestibles elsewhere.

Also, yeah, I can buy it all around here somewhere or other (I think the corner drugstore even carries Licorice Allsorts). We have a pretty decent ex-pat population and a number of pubs that open early to show football live. I appreciate the offer however.

Hey it's YYZ in Rock Band. I can't complain (too much). I'll learn to like the chart, but as of right now it really feels inferior to the GH2 one.

Expert Guitar:

Stone Roses song is atrocious to listen to but the chart is pretty good.

Sorrow sucks. Sorry :( It's not Infected at all.

Rush is the best DLC in the game, Tom Sawyer's new chart is good although it's again not a great song, YYZ is harder than shit, Camera eye will lead to hilarious failures at 95+%, Witch Hunt very easy gold star, Vital Signs very easy gold star, Limelight best chart in the game second best song, Red Barchetta second best chart in the game best song.

If anyone doesn't buy Red Barchetta they're poopy.
