BigBlackGamer said:With Teeth was awesome if you had no idea who NIN was. that was my first album that got me into NIN. FOR ME I thought it was really good. I was just feeling it from front to back.
If your a diehard NIN fan then maybe it sucked. With Teeth was the shit though. Im also bias because I have the blu-ray of them performing and all there With Teeth songs are awesome live.

Ten-Song said:Hells yeah. Also Rush's Snakes and Arrows tour is coming out on BD at some point, which is fantastic.

borghe said:well, I bought every song except for SK and Bandages (sorry, both are definitely not my taste).
borghe said:For me personally, this album stomps all over the Who Pack as best DLC in the game. No stinkers, a classic fucking album, HMX did an outstanding job with the mix, and for me personally, one of the very first albums I ever listened through from start to finish (and I literally mean album, back in 1982).
BigBlackGamer said:yea ill definitly have to check "And All That Could Have Been" but you can't beat NIN in TrueHD audio. man that NIN concert was amazing on Blu-Ray. I had 2 friends over who dont listen to rock at all and they were feeling that shit.
I can't wait for the AC/DC concert on BD.
John Mayer concert was also awesome on Blu-Ray. his trio stuff would be perfect in RB. too bad he loathes us.
I would KILL for "Words and Guitar" but I know it'd never happen.Belgand said:I can accept it with the apology, but man... Sleater-Kinney are great. I've been wanting them in the game for a while now, mainly since Bikini Kill got announced as being in, but it's a shame they didn't pick a better song.

neorej said:All That Could Have Been kicks the ass of any liveshow out there. Beside You In Time was also awesome in it's own right, but I liked The Downward Spiral-songs better than With Teeth and Year Zero. But I still listen to tracks from both latter albums occasionally, they're not "bad", they're just not what you would expect from NIN. I would love to see more NIN-DLC btw, The Great Destroyer, Starfuckers Inc, The Wretched, The Good Soldier, Meet Your Master, The Perfect Drug, Closer, My Violent Heart all appear to be fun songs to play. Owh and please let the Bowie/Reznor-song "I'm Afraid of Americans" appear as DLC!

Belgand said:I'm not that into concert videos most of the time. I'd rather have a good HD audio recording instead. Sadly, not enough people out there are buying SACD players. C'mon people... we need HD audio! Isn't going into the store and looking for the DVDA section (ok, ok DVD-A) awesome? Hell, just plain old regular DTS 96/24 sounds great on a good system.

Speaking of which if you're into Frank Zappa I strongly recommend QuAudioPhiliac. Dweezil took some of his dad's experiments in recording for quad, remastered them with a bit of tweaking for 5.1 and released them on DVD-A. Because of this it'll play through any standard DVD player, but without the higher sound quality you'd get from a proper DVD-A player. Of anyone to work with new, interesting technologies like this Zappa is definitely one of my top choices to be able to take proper advantage of it.

Ten-Song said:I only tend to listen to music with headphones, either while I'm sitting at my PC, or using my iPod on the go, high def audio doesn't really interest me until it can break away from players or 5.1 audio ear buds become common and cheap.
BigBlackGamer said:PS3 can play SACD I believe. any online retailers that have a decent stock of SACD?
TheGreatDave said:I'm pretty sure I remember when they split from RedOctane Harmonix said they held the rights to all notecharts.
I just played "Bark At The Moon". I've long lived in fear of it; it's been the only *** song on my GH:2 setlist, because I remember it being impossible. Just got 5 stars and 96% hit. I love feeling like the last year has all been worth it!
Belgand said:You're not really the market for it then. No offense, but I find it increasingly odd and disturbing how this is the only way many people listen to music. HD audio is aimed more at the audiophile market where we'll sit down in the sweet spot of a painstakingly calibrated (and sometimes even treated dedicated listening room) system and just listen.
Ten-Song said:Less that, but more that I come from the market of "guy that tries not to piss off roommates by blasting his very odd tastes in music".
Flynn said:It's one of those songs that I like playing simply because I find the lyrics so catchy. It's the first Harmonix track I've ever really warmed to.
Besides, I'm not playing at the high levels most of you guys are, so maybe I'm not refined enough to turn my nose up at the simple songs.
EDIT: Also, Helen!
TheGreatDave said:Buy Bandages too.
BigBlackGamer said:the kick pedal that comes with the drum rocker sucks IMO. it's annoying and loud as well.
Don´t wait, I made the same mistake. Just go to EA.com -> Support -> log in -> Question to EA (or something like this, just have the German version here) and tell them your pedal broke and you don´t get the email from the RB support site.TheGreatDave said:It'd be nice to be able to play it on drums. I filled out the online form and EA didn't send me the email they said they would with confirmation details. So I'm waiting for a bass pedal to show up that may not even be sent.
neorej said:What's the general consensus about the new drumkit that ships with Rock Band 2? Is it better than the old one?
Belgand said:With Teeth was a terrible album. The worst NIN album released. Well, actually, I can't say that will full authority since it was so bad that I haven't bought anything since then and even with the free downloads I haven't really devoted any time to listening to the newer stuff.
I actually thought it was pretty unlistenable simply due to being boring.Belgand said:I think the greater issue isn't that With Teeth was completely unlistenable it's just that it wasn't very good compared to all of the previous albums. It was so significantly worse than them that it felt like a slap in the face. "That's all... this mediocre album?" I guess if you got into NIN with it (and I have no idea how you missed out on all of the previous, better, better known work) then maybe you might be more inclined to be favorable, but I still can't understand why it would actually make you interested in Trent's music.

Belgand said:Well, true, but that was my point. It was more boring and uninspired than anything. It wasn't actively bad, just dull.
No. We're getting Black Viking Hollywood Frost Metal.
I have long thought that "Eternia" would be a great name for a power metal band. When I first mentioned this to a friend he immediately pointed out the He-Man connection. This makes it better. The entire band is He-Man themed and costumed. He-Man (vocals), Skeletor (bass), Orko (drums... tell me Orko isn't an ideal drummer), with guitar being undecided.
This would be the most awesome band ever people.
