Ozzy isn't popular enough? Kids don't like Elvis btw, that would sell like garbage.

Ozzy isnt popular enough yes. YEs i know kids dont like Elvis, but i think it could reach "teh olds" better than the Beatles. JMO.

I saw Costanza jizzing about this on twitter last night. Who is Scott Pilgrim?
Basically, it's a series of graphic novels. Here's some info on it:

All I'm saying is...

RB3 better have some sort of library organization that's actually functional.

RB2's single song scrolling is nearly inoperable with more than 400 songs.

You can sort by Artist, Song title, Genre, Decade, "Type" (RB1, RB2...), and now Stars.
You can also "skip" categories by holding the Yellow button on the guitars, and I think the bass pedal on drums.

I'm sure there's at least 1000% more kids who like Elvis more than they do Ozzy.
You're fucking high. Ozzy had the show on MTV so from that alone he's more popular with kids. I've never met anyone under 25 that likes Elvis, I don't want to imagine the generations after me. He's completely irrelevant at this point.

This sounds exactly like your bitching for TB:RB pre-release.

Also, Ozzy wasn't the reason why The Osbournes did well. Sharon, Kelly and Jack were always the real stars of the show.

Is there a box set or one of those super volumes that puts the first 5 books together? I don't trust half you guys' taste in music, but I'll give books a shot. :D

I never said he was the reason the show did well, I said he's more popular with that "Green Day rox, I wear ties with t-shirts and guyliner" type of audience that watches MTV because of the show. Hell, even my little brother who only listens to shitty mainstream rap knew Crazy Train (and liked it) when I played WT with him.

I am completely daydreaming about Black Sabbath: Rock Band now. I would pay $250 for that shit.

Nope. Not yet.
Bah. I'll just order the first one on amazon then and check it out. Thanks.

The point that you're missing, though, is that a Black Sabbath game would do immeasurably worse at retail than an Elvis game. Elvis is a damn American institution that no one can deny.

I knew someone was going to call me out on this - I know you can sort by all these things - I want to be able to scroll through a grid-ed out list of artists and then choose artist and then scroll through their album list / song list / w/e

the current artist sorting is broken.

The same can be said about The Beatles and they're gonna get outsold by an awful pop punk band that nobody over 16 even listens to anymore. If GD:RB does worse than TB:RB you can quote this and call me an idiot and claim victory.

You are the worst fucking junior in the history of gaf.
:lol I was never much of a hitter when I played baseball but there is no way I'm watching a big, fat, slow one like that fly by!

It probably doesn't help my only experience with Slayer is Raining Blood...

Cymbal and hihat first. Don't care about double bass. Most people would have no trouble to play at least with accurate cymbal charting, double bass on the other hand is hard as fuck. I'm a decent (meaning I can play most song on expert drum) player(probably in the upper 20% of the players) and double bass is so far away from me that I think it would cater only to the top players. Cymbal charting would be a great addition. Hi hat with cymbal charting while not as hard as double bass would propel the experience to a near drum learning machine, I'm all the way for it.

I still wonder what the can do to the guitar part to improve it without increasing the difficulty by a mountain. If they add another strum or a couple of bouton it will be really hard and would also only cater to the top players.

On drums the most obvious would be cymbal charting as they already recognize them in freeplay or OD parts just add a couple of highway and it's done. They would probably not support cymbals for anything older than RB3(DLC,RB 1 and 2)

I just got home and my slim and gow3 were left at my doorstep :lol I am reflowing though, borrowed a heat gun and bought me some thermal compound:D

Baker the droid is awesome, but you were totally right about the screen protectors, a wasted 15 dollars. Gaf secondapp looks normal for me too, but I'm logged in

I genuinely don't think GD:RB is going to do better than TB:RB in the short or long term.

corkscrewblow said:
So what you're saying is GD:RB should have been Black Sabbath: Rock Band... I knew you'd agree.

No, I'm just saying that Green Day doesn't have the kind of branding that could get them the same kind of exposure that the Beatles got.

of course it does, it's unearth.

80 pt songs are pwning the 160 ones. the chart is good for that one too. there's more ATR.. but it's shitty atr. give me vicious fucking betrayal or something from that album. dicks.

happy st pattys day bitches

That exposure didn't do much.

Green Day will do better. People that play video games like Green Day :vomit

At least Neversoft has experience in other genres to fall back on. I'm not even sure what Harmonix could do without rhythm games that don't involve motion-control cameras.

Well, there's always that Frequency/Amplitude sequel that everyone wants but no one will buy.

How's it going Dave? The weather is nice here so me and a bunch of guys went outside today. Sorry I couldn't troll for those couple of hours.

The weather is kinda blah here, but I wore shorts anyway. Hoping for some nicer weather soon.
