I'm pretty far into chapter 11 and I like the Sazh/Lightning/Fang team quite a bit, switched it up with hope a couple times and hated it, due to his lack of haste. I really hope he gets it soon though. I also just stumbled across this Juggernaut thing, it's HP scare me so I ran far away, but I vowed to come back :lol

My Snow and Lightning both have Haste, take that Sazh you worthless fuck.

I wish I had more than one person with Haste, as it stands I have lightning as a ravager, snow as a sentinel, fang as commando, vanille as saboteur, hope as medic, and sazh as synergist. I grinded to get enough CP to max out those paths, I only need lightnings ATB crystal and I will have them all. I hope I'm not fucking up too bad :S

I guess I was the only one to play the DLC yesterday, eh? Even the free one?

Dave would probably love most of that stuff. I think every song (with the exception of Carrie Underwood) was riddled with three-note chords. A couple of the X songs had Dave's dreaded GO chord though, so that might rule those songs out.

As we had speculated, there was really nothing exciting on guitar. The only song I didn't 5-star was Los Angeles, but I remember that song giving me problems in 80's as well.

I've played through half of it so far. *Really* dislike the lyrics on Carrie Underwood song but other than that it's been ok, nothing really fun so far but nothing really hateful either. Had trouble with "I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts" on xDrum at the end. :/

Good, grinding is retarded and JRPGs always have stupid difficulty spikes that make me lose interest.
Lucky for you, there's no difficulty spike and every boss is equally made so a retarded person could pass without problems. As for me, I actually like when RPGs have hard bosses.

There's a difference between a hard boss and one that requires grinding or has some instant death spell or randomly picks your party or any other crap that's completely out of your control.

Man, it's so hard to get playtests on RBN. I have a song that's been sitting there for 3 days without anyone touching it yet and the last version of it only got one (albeit a great constructive one) after being up for about 6 days. A lot of songs don't get any playtests at all in the 2 weeks that they're up. You pretty much have to trade with other people to get one which I would do but I don't really feel qualified considering my very first song hasn't even been approved yet.

Does anyone know if Harmonix has anyone on payroll doing full time playtesting? They really should at least until the pool of testers grows.

Am I the only one who likes playing most of BSSM on drums? Breaking the Girl is awesome as shit and there are some other cool beats. It's no Grohl but it's not that bad...

I like it on drums as well, Milch. But then I seem to be really drawn to the jazzy-type beats on Drums as well as songs that have active Bass parts, and BSSM has both.

That's pretty much what I thought was eventually going to happen. After the initial wow factor of RBN, the pepole with access to playtesting were really going to have to keep it up. I can already see from this thread that the excitement level of RBN is way lower and it would really be to Harmonix's benifit if they had a team of 4 go through and play every song on each instrument to give feedback / move songs along.

It's a shame that lesser bands are being punished here just because they don't have the band name / song title that will catch random playtesters eyes.

It's no different than actual music selling.

I don't really blame the community playtesters either. It's hard to ask someone to test a song they don't like when they're paying for access to the service. Good constructive playtests are hard work and they're plenty of guys out there producing them but not enough compared to the amount of songs being put up. I really hope the problem fixes itself eventually as the service gets bigger but it could just as easily become worse.

Don't get me wrong though, it's amazing Harmonix was able to pull this thing off in the first place. I'm just a little frustrated is all.

I'll get a drum review in for you tomorrow. I've been really lax about testing/reviewing the last two weeks, between class, authoring, PAX planning, etc....
