Can't say I totally agree with you there. They've already said that the show was designed as having a five-season plot arc and that season 6 is going to be going off of that. I'm thinking that sounds like a bad idea and the chance for the show to really go downhill.

Oh, and the best show that nobody watches is/was Better Off Ted. I hate everyone who didn't watch that show with the flaming passion of a thousand suns. Even more if they were a Nielson family.
Without spoiling anything for you, the main plot from 4/5 is ending at the end of 5 so 6 is gonna be something fresh and new. Even if it goes downhill it still won't ruin the terrific storyline from 4 and 5.

I'm just warning you now, the end of s4 is so damn awesome. Be prepared.

I guess you've never listened to Opeth, or you're just trolling. Probably the latter.

Damnation isn't even metal, it's a progressive rock album.

Eh, I should watch Weeds. Guess I'll add it to my Netflix.

The second season, IIRC, was the year there was a writer's strike. They even kinda poke fun at it in one of the later episodes of that season.

Best show on TV that nobody watches. Season 4 is incredible (you're in for a WHOLE lot of different+good stuff) and season 5 just improves on everything from 4. I'm so glad season 6 is confirmed.
My brother has the whole series on dvd and keeps bugging me to watch it, looks so meh.

I'm maybe 4 episodes away from being caught up. Its...I'm not sure how to describe it. Its not amazing, it doesnt suck though, it is good and rarely do it have LOL moments, but the writing is good, Tina Fey/Alec Baldwin make the show and theres just something about the show, I can't really describe why I like it but Its worth a watch. They do little nudges to current events such as the 1 episode where they're talking about making people like what they should like then they add a little "Jay Leno is on after this episode" and just smile at the camera then the episode ends. Made me laugh. Also, the "IM A STABBING ROBOT" bit is awesome.

It's fucking great. I'd say that after The Simpsons, Seinfeld, and Arrested Development it's the show I've watched in re-runs/DVD/Netflix the most. Like a lot of other shows though give it a little time. Not everyone loves every episode and it might take a bit for you to get into the feel of it and find what works for you. How can you dislike a show where they abort a montage of trying on amusing hats or the video for "Werewolf Bar Mitzvah"?

It won't, but I'd rather not have a potentially crappy season tacked on to the end. While I've supported that sort of thing before I have to question whether it makes sense here.

If you like supernatural stuff it's damn amazing. The only episodes I dislike are the vampire ones. If you wanna watch it don't get turned off by the first season, it gets so much better after that, like every season is better than the one before it.

To massively oversimplify things it's sort of like The X-Files starring the Duke boys, but focusing on demons rather than aliens.

I keep meaning to watch Sanctuary and have it up on Netflix for instant watch. Is it worth it?

They did one good vampire episode at least.
When Gordon got turned into one and Sam had to behead him. So awesome.

Well, the thing is that season 1 is basically nothing but one-off, monster-of-the-week episodes with hints and drips of the ongoing plot. It was far too slow of a burn and for the first half-dozen it seemed really apparent that they wanted to make it as easy as possible for new viewers to get in without missing anything (e.g. all of the relevant backstory was in the recap and it didn't change). Sort of the same problem that Dollhouse had. They wanted to make it so accessible that it didn't go anywhere and made it far more likely to kill off the viewers they already had.

With season 2, however, they kick into the main plot and most of the episodes are focused on that. They also discover that Dean works wonderfully as comic relief and that sort of helps with Sam's neverending emo mopefest.

If you really need a reason to watch it though Ben Edlund (creator/writer of The Tick, The Tick animated series, and a few generally awesome episodes of The Venture Brothers) joins the staff in season 2 and generally writes some of the best episodes.

Since we're talking about television: any Brits watch QI? I love that show. I wish we had intelligent or at least pseudo-intelligent panel shows in America.

I only liked that episode because of that scene and because it was the end of his shitty character. They always make the black guys such huge assholes.

and Belgand since you like the main story episodes you'll be happy to know that s4/s5 are like 70% main story/30% MOTW

Fucking Ruby.

I liked Angel and Buffy, but I'm not one of those crazy fans about the show, yea sure it was good I guess, but Buffy gets a lot of praise.

Whenever someone says 30 Rock I immediately think of 3rd Rock From The Sun, which I don't remember being very funny. It always came on before old Simpsons reruns (the best show ever) and I'd see the end of it and not laugh.

Supernatural is a million times better than Buffy (I've never seen Angel but it just looks like Buffy but with a dude main character)

In all fairness I would have done that back in the beginning of season 3.

Rodeo Clown said:
Some of Supernatural's best episodes have little story. I think "Mystery Spot" may be my favorite in the entire series.

That was good and they found a great way to make a fairly overdone "Groundhog Day" style episode work really well. At the same time it ultimately did tie in really well with the story by
showing how Sam learns to deal with life after Dean and the effects that has on him
even if that element was horribly overdone in season 3. Each season generally picks some emo plot thread and then harps on it incessantly so Sam has something to do. Seriously, he's like the Angel of the show and if he can't mope and smolder sexily he doesn't have much to do. When they give him comic moments though it really works. Same goes for when they actually write them as brothers and have them screwing with each other... even as an only child it feels authentic.

also, I'm playing the MW2 campaign right now and this has to be one of the worst things I've ever played. How the fuck does anyone like this?

1) Fuck you.

2) Angel, at least what I saw from the early parts of season 1, is like Buffy, but without anything that made it interesting or enjoyable.

3) Buffy was better, but it also had problems. Supernatural (so far at least) has never hit the same highs as Buffy nor as consistently, but at the same time it has never had to suffer the same lows as bad Buffy.

The interesting thing about Buffy is that it clearly jumped the shark after graduation... yet at the same time some of the best episodes and characters came after that point. It was one of the more interesting cases where the show had clearly reached it's peak, but the decline was so slow and gradual it was like an actual mystery spot.

I played the first 2 levels and parts of the 3rd and stopped after that, idk if I should've given it more time, but the parts I did play were retarded.

How anyone can describe 30 Rock as not laugh out loud funny is fucking beyond me.
Really? There's a lot of moments in that show where you're going HA HA HA HA HA? Not me. It happens every so often, but most of the jokes are funny, just not laugh out loud funny.

I'm sorry (wait... no I'm not), but you're wrong. Ruby is definitely hotter and more likely to be a good time than Bela. I'd probably even be likely to go with Meg over Bela. Not bad, but certainly not in the upper tier. Incidentally, Sam's girlfriend had, IIRC, a fabulous ass. That is not to be trifled with.

Are the MGS:PW controls different than Portable Ops. I want to be excited for it but Portable Ops controlled so terribly I couldn't get anywhere in it. They should've just stuck with the old school static MGS cam.

I didn't have any issue with PO controls but yes it's different. there are 2 control options, the one I remember is like Resistance: Retribution.

You can try the demo, it's on PSN.

Ridley327 said:
The controls for PW are too close to PO's for comfort.
Well unless they let you use a dualshock like in the Resistance PSP game, I probably won't touch it. Or maybe they could release it on PS2.

Edit: Guess I'll try the demo.

Thought id come in and say I just listened to the new coheed and its pretty awesome. Its super proggy and all over the place. I though chris pennies talents would be wasted, but they are making good use of him. For those not in the know pennie was dillinger escape plans drummer.

Thanks. Figured since Clutch had so many different styles, it'd be hard to really get a feel for them from their RBN offerings. They are consistantly solid, though.

Also, to those who have sent a few responses, thank you, helps to know that they're actually being listened to, even if they're not being read.

I don't care for the story as it's just constantly trying to out do itself, but as far as enjoyment from a fps campaign I enjoyed it more than any other war shooter. All of the early CoDs had shit campaigns, MW1 was just annoying, WaW was a giant pile of shit, MoH games were okay for their time I guess, and I didn't even bother playing the campaign in BC1/2. The campaign was decent in MW2 at last. Spec Ops however is awesome, the only good thing to come out the last few CoD games.

Wow, what a clusterfuck of acronyms:lol
