I find comic book movies to range from horrible to very mediocre at best. Will I like Kick-Ass? One of my friends and his girlfriend went and saw it and they told me it was "the most amazing movie they'd ever seen, the word badass is not badass enough to describe it."

it's most certainly badass...but if you don't like fun, then maybe you won't like it. It's a 'comic book' movie, but it really doesn't take itself seriously. Very self-referential...

Its kind of hard to explain I think its very similar to zombie land, because of the content, but like zombieland it isn't really about zombies. there is just enough there for it to justify its subject, but it tells a story that's almost seperate from it. I wouldn't call it a super hero movie because of that, its nothing like any other super hero movie and I don't think the trailers really led you to believe that either, so I think you should be safe.

Ps I loved the Lost shout out :lol everyone in the theater laughed at that.

I think I'm gonna watch Kick-Ass after school on Monday.

There's a group of us that have plans to go see Kick Ass next Wednesday night.

Also, Ronabo and I ARE going to the breakfast bar this morning. Can't wait, yum yum! :D

Oh god. I evidentally have terrible drumming technique, because after an impulse purchase yesterday of the music game variety, my entire arm from the elbow down is in deathly pain.

Also, I am one of you now. Or at least, will be once my RB2 import arrives (yay Australia). I picked up Band Hero instrument bundle because it was on special and because I couldn't be bothered waiting for Rock Band 3.

WTF at Arsis, I suppose i won't be even able to pass it on hard (or just barely).

I finally caught up with Lost, watched the 3 last episodes yesterday, I'm still wondering how they will be able to tie everything in the last 4 episodes. One of the better show I ever watched.

I have a few Rockband DLC tracks that I have not installed yet on my system. Can I copy these over to a USB drive or something to bring them over to a friend's PS3?

Oh hay, welcome. Try to change your position when drumming until you find one that you can drum comfortably with minimum pain, after you get used to playing drums you won’t feel these pains unless you push your limit.

I have the GH drums and they aren’t as comfortable as the stock RB2 drums when playing rock band (especially the pedal) but it’s not unplayable too, I can play most of the expert songs (the ones I can play :p) without a problem, just make sure your wrist position is right so you don’t hurt your joint hitting the cymbals.

It’s nice to have one of the Singstar crew here, enjoy your stay.

So, LTTP; I just bought RB1 and got a couple of quick questions:

How do the unlocks work? ie can I unlock stuff in singleplayer and play them in multi?

DLC, I play on an offline account due to the living room not having a socket for internet and me being too cheap to put up a wireless/wired connection there. If/when I buy some DLC, will they be playable on the offline account as well?

And what are the xbox headset connector parts for?

Nice, another new blood. You unlock songs by playing through the career mode and yes when you unlock them you can play them in Multi and quickplay.

If you download the songs to your xbox you can play them online or offline.

The headset connecter is for the Xbox headset when you want to chat while playing online.

Edit: Also you should get RB2, it’s better all around except for the career mode and the stars.

Cheers for the quick answers!

The instruments work with RB2 as well, yes? Kinda tight on money and I bought this mostly because I could get the whole package for 55€ :D

So basically don't go on (another) 'new game' binge and play 9 hours or so of drums non-stop?

(Okay, so posture and technique might not have been my only problem.)

I can buy a band's CD for less than what the Rockband Store is asking...

WTF?!?
Creating Rock Band tracks probably costs more than publishing a CD. MTV has to:

License the song
Chart it 16 different times
Share a portion of the sales with the record label and MS/Sony/Nintendo

All things considered, $2 a song is a pretty good deal imo!

Yeah, that's not a great idea when your starting out, especially on drums. Don't worry about not being able to play a lot of songs nonstop, you'll get you chance during the endless setlist!

RB1 has the best career and it's damn fun so enjoy. RB3 is coming this holiday season so you might want to wait until then but you'll be missing on some great songs.

If you had picked a good Megadeth song and something other than Social Distortion, that would have been an awesome setlist.

one you can only listen to, the other you can sing, drum, play bass/guitar with. Isn't this an old argument anyway?
I just got the game...

It doesn't really mater how good a deal it is if the price is still too high.

If EA simply cannot go any lower due to costs, I'll have to accept it, but I suspect they can do better.

You have an axe to grind with MTV games!
Fuck...

New Coheed album is awesome c/c

Also, EA has nothing to do with RB outside of physical distribution. You have an axe to grind with MTV games!

Weeell I bought it mainly for the parties so the track list is a bigger priority than some campaign mode.

Also Safe Bet, Activision charges $2 for their tracks on average too. So if you think that's too much, I think you bought into the wrong game genre for DLC.
