holy shit balls. I can't believe this is really happening. The always-talked-about but never-dreamed-possible keyboard/piano peripheral for Rock Band...
this has made my day, week, month, year.
I can't wait to show off my 13 years of piano mastery. SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SICK AMAZING INCREDIBLE I LOVE HARMONIX!!!!!

It's dying. While HMX is making giant leaps forward, Activision is stuck with pointless gimmicks like pig transformations.ahvostik said:argh! why won't guitar hero just die already!!??

99% of their fans haven't hit puberty, what do you expect?DuckRacer said:btw, GD:RB has the weakest crowd "vocals" ever.
Damn... Exactly how closely have we examined the data in tracks to date? Surely something as recent as say, Lego Rock Band, would have taken this into account?AMUSIX said:This post was just made on the RB forums... (something, something... keytar.gif)
What I want to know is how the Rock Revolution and GH tracks got approved. You need permission from the songwriters even for covers if said covers are going to be used in a video game.AMUSIX said:Hmmm, after looking very briefly into it, I have decided that Vinnie Paul is to blame...
fuck you, Vinnie Paul!
Judging by recent choices, it will be The Spaghetti Incident? full-album DLC.DuckRacer said:The worst thing about the album is that HMX will likely never release a Pantera greatest hits 6/10/12-pack now. :/ Floods should be awesome and the first good non-RBN DLC in months but still. Hopefully we get Guns 'N Roses at E3.
It's definitely not for everyone.Affeinvasion said:I don't mean to derail the fan-gasm, but I just saw MacGruber and it was the worst pile of shit I've seen in a long time...and I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to movies. I will admit I laughed pretty hard a couple of times, but it was just not a good film. Also it's bomba. My wife and I were the only ones in the theater. We should of just had theater sex and gotten our money's worth.

He plays GH. He should be a calibrating master.Archie said:Learn to calibrate.
AMUSIX said:From Billy Joel, I'd want the following before Piano Man...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ed_-brFWYdQ (would be fun on just about everything...especially drums)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppFu62lbI2g (just tell me that 2:00 wouldn't be fucking awesome for a band to play)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChG-zoaCqvY (another banjo-tune, with an incredible piano solo...drums might suck, depending on how you feel about shuffle beats)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIUeyDLV6LQ (the one to use if you're going to show off the piano...sax and clarinet parts might have to get charted to the guitar, though)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqnpeG--bkU (not much in the way of piano here, but a great bass line, and some good drum hits)
Fuck it...Harmonix, since I know you're reading this and hanging on my every word, just give us Piano Man and The Stranger as full album downloads and put The Entertainer on the disk.
Yet when people said this about Guitar Hero 5 it was our own fault for not knowing how to calibrate:lol I'm not saying the calibration in GD:RB isn't off(haven't played it yet), but at least attempt to be consistent with what you bitch about.TheGreatDave said:I quit playing Welcome To Paradise on bass because the game was telling me I missed notes when I didn't. i would love that in RB tooMrOctober said:I agree and I'm a huge Billy Joel fan. I just seriously love Piano Man so much.

Considering how sloppy GH's system is, he probably doesn't need to calibrate in those games.Blu_LED said:He plays GH. He should be a calibrating master.

So keytar is coming to RB huh. It's time for some Savatage HMX and more Dream Theater.
It's Dave.ahvostik said:what the fuck.
I don't get it.
GH5 was like $13 shipped on Amazon a few weeks ago and I posted asking if it was worth it to get it and everyone said they wouldn't play it if it was shipped to them for free.
I guess everyone has their own opinion... it's still confusing though.

I was able to calibrate my copy of RB1 so very easily when I got it. Then again, it could be that I was just playing Medium at the timecorkscrewblow said:It's not possible on 360
Captain N said:do we think it'll be a keytar or keyboard?
Affeinvasion said:It's hard to say...I could see them doing both. The problem with a keytar style is that it only uses one hand while the other hand wouldn't be doing anything (since that hand messes with the synth settings normally). But the flat layout might not be very space friendly.
I was joking.Jet Grind Radio! said:I was able to calibrate my copy of RB1 so very easily when I got it. Then again, it could be that I was just playing Medium at the time

Oh, I know you were making a slight against the 360. But I don't care. >=Pcorkscrewblow said:I was joking.
It was in relation to not needing to calibrate anything on PS3 and no calibration working properly on my 360. I was whiffing easy FCs on 360 RB2 and let's not get into GH5.
Don't know, but whatever it is I'm sure HMX will make it a good addition.Captain N said:do we think it'll be a keytar or keyboard?
