I've edited the OP for youlmao this is pretty wild. Can someone summarize what benefits does this provide
Out of curiosity, what do you love so much about RDO?I'm a bitch, but I love RDO soooooooo much i'd pay a monthly fee just to support it. But I suspect this indicates it's dead.
For the last month? That’s humans in life. Always been that way.People will defend this. If I've learned anything from reading posts on Gaf for the last month, I've leaned that it's okay to charge for shit that's already in the game as long as you can point at another game that also does it.
It’s dead so let’s charge a monthly fee now? Is that how this shit works?I'm a bitch, but I love RDO soooooooo much i'd pay a monthly fee just to support it. But I suspect this indicates it's dead.
it's not free if youre paying for it.I might be the minority here but I think this offer is worth it.
+ 500,000 GTA$
+ Free Property (This month is the Auto Shop)
+ Upgrade to the most expensive Yacht for free
+ Free clothing
+ Free liveries for various vehicles
+ Free Car fully pimped out with Hao's Special Works upgrades and released early to GTA+ members.
+ Various re-imbursements
+ Featured bonus payouts for certain missions.
+ Extra bump in bonus money you get for Shark Cards
+ Can cancel at anytime, so just sub if the monthly offer interests you, claim, cancel and then re-up the next month if you like the offers.
All of this for 5.99, for me this is a no brainer as there is far more value in what they are giving me vs what they are asking for in return. I can skip out on the Starbucks once a month for this...
it's not free if youre paying for it.
For only $5.99 a month you can have exclusive access to shit that's already in the game.

For what it's worth, I believe they said that they are going to rebalance (nerf) a majority of the PVP vehicles and this will also include the flying motorcycles.I've been checking it out on my xsex after the next gen release. And I'll tell you what, it's pretty fun and fleshed out with a shit ton of things to do. THe problem is the goddamn flying motorcycles armed with missiles. Way too much griefing and all going on, and you can't play solo or in a limited server if you want to do any of the business stuff. As such I'm not willing to get into a sub to play something that I'm likely to be griefed often ... that is NOT fun. At all.
Thats your opinion and I respect that when I say fuck the shark cards and their store prices. Its a made up bullshit economy. Youre not saving anything, but thats what they want you to believe. The fact is that most properties come with upgrade options that run in the millions for each step, so you would have to save up for months on that 500k petty income to do anything useful to a single business or property in the game.I'm not sure why people are not seeing the value in what is being offered here. I think this is a fantastic gesture to help new and maybe even some older players out.
Let's break down some of the costs since reading through this thread it seems folks are slamming the sub without offering any sensible arguments as to why the sub is not a good value or idea. To me it looks like Rockstar is offering a pro consumer option which doesn't interfere with current weekly offerings and is 100% not required to play the game and offers something to finally counter the decline in Prime Gaming offerings AND finally an option for Xbox gamers to get ahead finally since they never got the 1 mil a month deal Playstation owners were enjoying.
- 500k GTA$ each month. 500k shark cards cost 10 dollars on their own.
- 1 Free property a month. Presently the Autoshop is being included, the most expensive one, La Mesa which costs 1,920,000 GTA$ This translates into roughly $35 dollars in Shark Cards.
- Free upgrade to the Aquarius Yacht, looking at potentially upto 2 million GTA here depending on what model you go with. Roughly another $35 dollars worth of Shark Cards right there.
- 1 Free fully upgraded Car, this month it is the Principe Deveste Eight which costs 1,795,000 GTA$, average cost of HSW complete upgrades is about 500k-1m GTA$. Lowballing it, this total package might cost 2.3 million GTA$ on its own, this would value out at $40 worth of Shark Cards.
I'm not going to even bother adding up the rest because already we are sitting at $120 in Shark Card purchases. For 6 dollars, this is a pretty damn good deal with all things considered and especially for somebody just starting out or for those that might be interested in just the car alone and don't wanna grind a heist or two. Not sure how this is milking players. Sure you can grind out heists to get everything in game, sure playstation owners are coming off the teat of 1million a month and twitch/prime gaming subs may have remembered when we used to get cool stuff like this for free or at a huge discount but the point is that you can't argue against the value being presented compared to current options available short of grinding. Since there might be some that are just starting out or rolling new accounts, new characters for one reason or another, this is a great way to enjoy some savings and get a little time saving boost.
Yes because all subscription services are the same and if you like one it means you automatically like them all.I thought this forum loved subscription services.
Now the game that had sold more copies than anyone has sold consoles has a subscription service and everyone is horrified.
I don't know about that. MMORPG's have normalized Boxed games + Paid Expansions + mandatory monthly fees + Microtransactions/cash shop for years now. This has got to be the most milked game ever now… this is bonkers

The game already kinda p2w before this.
I mean they aren't making enough money from reselling a 10 year old game and getting tons of mtx, they need to do this crap? Just not going to look good on their part. Seems greedy and really pay to win is bullshit as we all know.
People already spend money like this on "Plunder Pass", "Battle Pass", or whatever else these companies want to call monthly/season fees to earn digital crap next. Please do not subscribe as this will change gaming forever if it proves popular.
Imagine having to subscribe to all the individual games we all love.
A lot of people are idiots. Please do not subscribe as this will change gaming forever if it proves popular.

It will do this time next week.I thought this forum loved subscription services.
GTA Online is free on PS5 right now.I would be with you if the game was free to play, but no it's not free to play but a priced game, and it's a priced game that was sold three times. And also above this unlike free to play games you have to be ps plus/ Xbox live gold membership, so sorry but no this is a total scam.
are you being serious? the game made Rockstar billions in the first few days post launch. it's been 8 and a half years since it came out. rockstar have more than enough money to keep it running lmfao. they ripped people off with GTA trilogy remaster recently and have released GTA V for the 3rd generation!I mean they do have service & operations costs to keep the game running so there is a need for the constant revenue. Most companies would must prefer to have more stable, subscription-based revenues than rely solely on one-off purchases. I don't blame them for doing this. The question is going to be do you get the value out of it. Other games like STO, ESO, Star Wars TOR do this sort of hybrid free w/ store and/or sub option. This is not that unusual in the industry at all. STill though if they want people paying subs they're going to have to do more to allow people to enjoy the pve content without the constant griefing.
Out of curiosity, what do you love so much about RDO?
I finished RDR2 recently, after 160 hours of single player, which I loved, I thought "okay, and now it's time for the online" thinking I had a new huge piece of content to do, that a big thing was awaiting me, since I spent hundreds of hours on GTA online.
But I ended up being really disappointed, it kind of seems like there's nothing to do really, every job needs at least 10 gold bars to even try it, I've been doing some bounty hunts but it's very repetitive, and the online feels super dead, I barely see any players, and the world itself is very dead and empty compared to the single player, saint denis doesn't feel the same at all for example, completely empty streets, no NPCs, no interactions.
I really wish I'd love it because I had great expectations given how I loved the single player, but it just feels very barebone to me, not sure how to explain it, I quickly had the feeling that it wouldn't keep me busy for long. I'm quite sad about it.
Also the fact that there isn't a chat contributes to make it feel dead, compared to GTA Online where players can chat and a lot of my interractions and various situations with other players happened thanks to the chat.
Are you suggesting GTO+ isn't going to rake in money? Lol.Yes because all subscription services are the same and if you like one it means you automatically like them all.
Or maybe people gravitate toward the ones that actually offer some semblance of value and don't give 2 fucks about the others.
I can't argue with that and it do nothing but solidify all the major players having subscriptions in the near future. It will do this time next week.
It's hilarious you think the general population is going to not care about GTO+ especially when 6 releases. Seriously, like masses give a flying fuck about Tunic.Sure, let me pop in my copy of GTA V, login to GTA O + and start a game of Tunic.
