Rolling Stones have also got a press conference set for next Tuesday in New York to officially launc their long rumoured tour.

2005 is turning into a pretty incredible touring year...when was the last time a Beatle (Mcartney), a Zeppelin (Robert Plant), the Stones and U2 toured in the same year?

Heh, that would be pretty cool as well...I think one of the guys hinted at a reunion, but it doesn't seem likely at this point.

(to be fair, Beatles >>>>>>>>>>>> U2)

I don't think there's that many " > >" between Beatles and U2. Beatle songs were all about "me love you" while U2 actually has better lyrical content -- if that matters to you.

If you mean in terms of popularity then ok Beatles.

If you actually listened to the Beatles, you would realize they wrote some exceptional lyrics.

U2 is a fucking great band, but to say they are good lyricists I think is wrong (excluding songs such as One, and Sunday Bloody Sunday, which are excellently written).
