Ronda Rousey: I can beat Mayweather in a no-rules fight.

They are just dumb statements. She never fought anyone in a street fight other than some teenage boys in a cinema. You're not going to beat Floyd Mayweather when he wants to destroy you.

It's just dumb Ronda Rousey talk. She's quite the hypocrite regarding Floyd too, because the day after her ESPY award comments she was hanging out with Mike Tyson.

She's the best in the world in her division and she be losing anytime soon. But she's not a street fighter and she's definitely not going to beat Floyd at it.

Under MMA rules she believes she has a "disadvantage" but this fight wouldn't be under MMA ruling. Although tbh I do think it may just be some form of transphobia because Rousey isn't perfect by any means with her political views. I'd say in a no rules fight she'd take it, but in boxing? Uh... I don't think so.

They want it to be true because its the better story, likeable Ronda beats up unlikeable Floyd, who has been in many controversies about beating up women. Its the classic babyface vs. heel. They like that narrative, and they are ready to overlook everything else.


Id love for Ronda to beat his ass as much as anyone. But Floyd would win in 100 out of 100 matches, with ease. He is strong and faster than her. Its not a contest, except in fantasy land of good vs evil

No rules fight, Floyd all the way.

Mma fight, I still lean Floyd. The man is greatness. His endurance is insane compared to hers. Hands are unmatched. Floyd for my money.

Pretty much this. Floyd is a piece of shit woman beater and Ronda is the female nerd badass who the internet loves. With the power of love and friendship anything is possible! lol

But she's hailed as a world beater and already fought at 145 several times before. If she's capable of beating Floyd and Cain Velasquez, she can at least take on her most dangerous possible challenge.
 
Good to hear that she's not afraid of everyone. Maybe she can fight Fallon Fox, Cyborg, and then move on to the men's division. Afterall, she can beat anyone on this planet.
 
I'm the biggest MMA fan there is, Ronda Rousey would most likely lose in an MMA match as well.

Floyd will clip and knock her out cold with 1 punch as she tries to close the distance to grab him, as she always does walking in a straight line, more likely than not.

Don't be delusional, Ronda is good at beating people who aren't great at fighting i.e. 135 lbs women's division.

1 punch is all he needs, and he'd easily get it. If she could even manage to get close somehow, she'd be pushed off the moment she tries to clinch. He's too strong, and way too fast.

He can punch harder than the most/any of the people RR has faced, and has some of the slickest evasive moves in any combat sport. People thinking RR would win are doing so purely on her getting Mayweather to the ground. If she did that, we'd have a fight. If she didn't, she'd get destroyed.

I don't think that was implied at all. I appreciate banter but isn't nearly as entertaining as it would be if Floyd would engage her. Granted he's playing it right by taking the high ground and giving her props but it'd be hella cool if all this was leading up to something even if it was a silly match at Wrestlemania

You can't dance around and lock up in UFC. Floyds good at dancing around when nobody can go for his legs.

There would be no belt on the line and while people want to see Ronda vs Cyborg, it should be to take Ronda's belt. Cyborg has no one to fight in UFC at 145. Ronda is at the top. Cyborg can stop fucking off and cut 9 lbs to go take her belt.

Really what it comes down to. Can she take a hit or avoid all hits. Floyd would be like a dark souls boss you are under leveled for in armor
 
Don't understand this beef with Mayweather, but I think he's doing the right thing by not responding. If anything he could admit defeat and tell her to move on.

Like others have said, it's probably just easy PR. He's probably the most well known active athlete in combat sports at the moment, so it's easy to get some hits off his name.

This ain't UFC, it's no rules. Hell this shit could take place on a street, floyd could literally run around her for hours. Think about what happens when she tries to go for a grapple, how fast this dude punches.

This is the key part no one talks about. The boxing stance lends itself to takedowns. His footwork works for someone standing right in front of him.

Rousey could shoot a double leg from 3 ft out and have him on his back first attempt. He could not stop it. Under no circumstance
