Don't worry. The forced cannibalism hasn't started yet. You're safe.
For now.

Hell yes.
Although, I would much prefer it if he did a Ghost in The Shell film. Oh well, though.

But really $280, I don't know why Avatar is the only movie where the marketing is added to the "budget."

PhoncipleBone said:Also whenever it is brought up that this movie is breaking revenue records, there is always someone pointing out "It is only making that much because 3d tickets are pricier." One site actually did the math and took the average ticket increase away and this film still has records. Anyone know where that was that took the cost advantage away in their calculations?
Count Dookkake said:This also ignores the fact that there have been other 3D movies released that have not made as much money by a long shot.
Kind of like crying about Wii Play being number one becasue it "CHEATED" by including a free controller. If it is so easy to make it to number one by using such a "gimmick," then why doesn't it happen more often?
Another way to think of Avatar's success in 3D (or any movie in 3D, or IMAX for that matter): they have come up with a product that is good enough that people are willing to pay a premium for it. This is not a reason to dock that premium from the "true" measure of the film's success.Count Dookkake said:This also ignores the fact that there have been other 3D movies released that have not made as much money by a long shot.

Dookkake, who is that guy in your avatar? Is it James Purefoy?

For ¥600, you get an awesome book with some nice images and information about the cast and characters. I'm probably going to see the film in theaters one more time, so if I had enough requests, I'd gladly pick up a few programs for forum members.

I'll take the first five requests! ¥600 + ¥1200 EMS shipping via PayPal. Might seem a bit pricey because of the shipping, but the program is fantastic.

Real3D vs Imax 3D
Trying to decide which.
Seems to me Real3D is sharper/brighter than Imax 3D, but then, the last Imax 3D I saw was Superman Returns.
Also, I heard there are aspect ratio differences between the two... anyone know what the film's intended aspect ratio is?
