It's so funny how I've been telling people this for a long ass time... people always saying "man the trailers make it look so generic... looks silly... etc"... and yeah from an outlined perspective most Cameron movies sound pretty silly/cliche. But its his execution that makes them special.

Inspite of the great Busty pulling the numbers out of his ass, he puts it out with clear wording that they are not at all reliable <- common tactic when people pull this stunt. And what does jett do? Gobble gobble gobble.

Just putting this out there jett. So that you do not go around mouthing off and not backing up your smack talk. For once, you were clearly called out here and all you got as backup was one random guy's word (which has 0% credibility), you just got ______. Bitch!

Daniel it sucks when, after seeing a great movie you almost die in a car accident, yeah? :lol On my way back from Return of the King it came a shit-snowstorm outside and there were a few close calls. It nearly dampered my high off the film.

Anyone else follow Simon Pegg on Twitter? He saw the premiere tonight and called it a "game changer" whatever that means. I respect the dude, and am excited to see Avatar.

Well looks like so far Avatar is holding up on the critical side of things. I think it could win a ton of awards to, especially during this week year. I just don't think it's going to be quite the box office success some think it is.. probably wrong though.

So here's the question. If Cameron sweeps the awards here, does he take position as the best director of all time?

Such a position exists? Who currently holds it? If we're talking about some kind of ambiguous consensus here, then no. Far more people would favour someone like Kubrick or Spielberg, if there was to be any majority.

Anyway, Cameron is a fantastic director and creator. Hopefully he gets to work on another project immediately. He's got plenty of years left in him and maybe once he's 70 and dishing out quiet dramas about the countryside and love, we could look back at him and ask that question more seriously.

No. Maybe the most technologically innovative director of all time, but best? Definitely not. He's my personal favourite, but Spielberg still reigns as the supreme master of cinema since its inception.

Well that's what I'm hoping. Speilberg is my personal favorite, right up there with Fincher. He can cover such a wide array of genres, and to me nothing holds up quite like Jaws or Jurrasic Park.

Damn I am SO SO glad this movie wasn't a critical flop! Like, should out loud happy! I needed a film like this to come and slap me in the face. The last real fantasy epic for me was LOTR. And whilst there have been some stellar fictional works in-between (Dark Knight and Star Trek), nothing of this calibre with respect to scale and immensity.

17th Dec at the IMAX London Greenwich cannot come soon enough! Cameron you legend, you apparently (so far) have done it again! One of the few with a spotless record.
