A deep ocean diving documentary unfortunately.

Yeah, here's what he said at the London premier about them:Zeliard said:Well, Cameron has said that if the first makes enough money, there will be a sequel. So I think it's likely we'll see one. Remains to be seen exactly what he'll work on next, though.
Cameron talked up two potential sequels during a press conference before Thursdays London premiere.
When I pitched it to Fox, they said, Weve spent a lot of money creating all these assets, all these CG mountains, plants, trees, leaves, flowers, bugs everything you saw up there on screen had been made by people at workstations over a period of years and so they have value, said Cameron, who told the assembled U.K. media outlets that he has worked out the story for a second and third film.
So in terms of the pitch it was: OK, youve spent a lot of money on the first one; on the second one well be able to amortize it and focus on the story and all that ... and they bought that.
While Fox said the property clearly has sequel potential, the studio would not confirm any definitive plans on future Avatar installments.
Truant said:He ripped off himself with the horn fanfare he did in Aliens. I heard that several times throughout the film.

Socreges said:I was thinking that Avatar 2 could take place in the same universe, even the same time frame, but in a different context. That is, on another planet/moon apart from Pandora, but dealing with the fact that humans have this avatar technology.
Cameron might want to return to Pandora, though, if only because he has an existing base (less work). Plus, the nemesis (the corporation, Giovanni Ribisi) still remains. For me, though, a sequel in that vain might not be as interesting. The story was pretty complete and a re-do (i.e., humans vs. Navi [sic], again) would by silly.
Well, he will be doing some more deep-underwater diving stuff. But of course, that too could be conceivably so he can have more inspiration for the next film.Socreges said:
I guess we're going back to Pandora. I was hoping for something entirely different.

The only difference is that some have no subltety whatsoever about it, like Horner or Danny Elfman. You never hear John Williams being ripped for doing it, even though he has done it just as much. The greats hide it better.
I swear the ending theme after the battle was just the Glory theme, slightly tweaked.jett said:Troy is also a Horner score.![]()

Falch said:The thing I'm most disappointed with in Avatar is the character development, or lack thereof. Most characters are quite onedimensional and flat, and the few characters that are not are underdeveloped. I especially think Selfridge was a character with a lot of potential that was basically never explored.

The RealD site has a theatre finder, if there is a closer IMAX you'd probably know, as for Dolby, no idea.-COOLIO- said:how does one find the closest 3d theater to him showing avatar?

It's a great theater, but I've never seen anything in 3D before. It doesn't say anywhere on the site which "brand" of 3D they use.
Avatars, I'd bite.Timbuktu said:If there is a sequel to Avatar, I would rather someone else step up and give their take on the universe and for Cameron to crack on with Battle Angel. Sure, he is good with sequels, but he was working with a much bigger budget in T2 compared with T1 and he was giving a new take to someone else's franchise with Aliens. Reversing Aliens and have Ridley do the sequel would be interesting.
