I think we should start by having the losing Six Nations team play the top Second Tier European in the Autumn Internationals - not for promotion or relegation to start with, but maybe working towards that.

Shame for Scotland, but good for rugby!

That might be a good start. Though I think the way Scotland have been since their disastrous Six Nations earlier this year, Italy probably have more to worry about if this became a thing.

Anyway, as a fellow Celt I'm backing Scotland for this one. They have made leaps and bounds since the Six Nations, and I am hoping they can upset the South Africans and get 1/3 Southern Hemisphere teams out of the tournament.

C'mon Scotland!

Commentator just mentioned that (somebody's) second rows were 4 meters and 6 centimetres. I think he meant in aggregate, but my initial reaction was, well that's one very tall one and ...

Oh my GOD what a twist in the tale!

Amazing that they got it in! Brilliant intercept, brilliant sidestep, brilliant offload!

Stupid from Laidlaw but Duncan Weir deserves as much criticism for that awful pass to the wing that allowed Habana to make the break out.

The power of South Africa's clearing out at the break down is ftightening. It's how they scored that try. Clear the contact area so quick that they get their hands on the ball for the next phase in no time at all.

It was accidental, but still worthy of a yellow. Definitely disagree with Owens there.

Are you kidding? There was nothing in that, the tackled player deliberately fell to the side to get to ground and landed pretty softly.

Scotland have next to nothing to offer against SA's defence. No penetration at all.

By the laws of the game it should have been a yellow although to it looked to be another incident of the increasingly common practice of tackled players choosing to roll over like that.

I really don't like it and it's practice that seems to be happening more and more in international rugby.
